Jesus makes a startling statement.

Joh 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Point 1, If you sin you are a slave to sin.

Joh 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

Point 2, If you are a slave then you will not abide for ever. But Jesus aka the son does.

Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Point 4 If Jesus makes you free from being a slave then you will truly be free.

Result, if sinning makes you a slave to sin and Jesus makes you free from being a slave then what are you not doing anymore? answer sinning.

If you are sinning you are not free but a slave and will not abide forever.

Good news freedom is found in Jesus and His word.

what is sin?

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Sin is transgression/breaking the law

not sinning would then be not breaking the law.

not breaking the law is keeping the law.

put it all together.

if you sin/break the law you are a slave to sin. (we are all born this way)
And this way leads to death.

however Jesus can make us free from slavery to sin which means free from being a law breaker which means Jesus sacrifice and Grace turns me from a law breaker into a law keeper. or else I am not free.

Only by Faith though.

Your premise is faulty because it is based on a mistranslation of the Greek; therefore your whole argument falls apart. 1 John 3:4 does not state that sin is transgression of THE law. It says that sin is lawlessness:

Everyone doing sin also is doing lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4

Lawlessness is violating the revealed will of GOD. The law was through Moses for that time and people. Grace and truth came through Jesus and is for us now. Those who oppose GOD's revealed will by trying to bring believers under bondage to the law of Moses are lawless.

And your statement that one can only keep the law by faith demonstrates a laughable ignorance of Paul's teachings.
