GOD’s LOVE:)
Someone quoted well “Bible Is a Love Letter to Mankind”
God's love is not a topic of discussion in most religions. However, for us Christians, God's love for us is the centre of our Life.
So, here is the Golden / Greatest / Key verse which we all are familiar and love it and also have memorized it.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

My favorite verse is 1 John 4:19
We love Him, because He first loved us.

What is your favourite verse on this subject?? Or maybe you can leave a Thought on God’s Love.

Good morning Richiee!

As for me every word of the Bible is for my edification. The Bible is the complete food for my spiritual health. I want every bit of it to keep myself healthy, wealthy and wise. :)

Psalms 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

His Word created the heaven and the earth. His Word will rule over the world. He has exalted His word above all His name. His Word is God and His Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Hi Word is pure; tried seven times. :)

Be blessed

Good topic :)

1 John 4:10
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

I know this isn't quoting from the bible, but when I was around 11 maybe 12 I had an amazing encounter with God.

I won't go into all of the details what led up to it etc as its a bit lengthy. But one night I felt the presence of God in a real tangible way. I was in bed and it was as if a line was moving up my body from my toes up to my head. As the line moved up it felt as if I was being enveloped in goodness, love, peace, joy and every good thing you could ever imagine. By the time it reached by head, my entire body felt as though I was bathing in pure love.

I know this probably sounds very strange and to be honest, it was strange for me at the time.

This feeling lasted some time and it was just so overwelming that I burst into tears, not because I was sad, but I felt so overwelmed by the love of God.
Even though I was young at the time I had such an overwhelming sense of the presence of God.

Eventually I had to go to the bathroom to get some tissue, then when I got back I fell asleep in this state of utter peace.

The next morning I woke up and wondered if it had been a dream, but I just knew that it wasn't and there on my bedside table was the tissues.

I don't think we can fully comprehend the love of God.

This thought occurred to me last night: Imagine how much Jesus must love us, when he laid down his life while we were still sinners... which technically makes us enemies of God.

Hmm, it would be wiser if you ask that in a thread of your own, more will see it.

(Click Bible Discussion Forum and on the top, above all the threads, beneath the banner, there is a button on the left saying Create new thread)

:)

PS: I personally don't think you have to, but I see no reason not to for someone who believes the Bible is the word of God

GOD IS LOVE...SO WHAT IS LOVE?

2john1:6 and this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, that as Ye have heard from the beginning, Ye should walk in it.

1john5:3 for this is the love of god, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

1john5:2 by this we know that we love the children of god, when we love god, and keep his commandments.

John15:10 if Ye keep my commandments, Ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my fathers commandments, and abide in his love.

John14:21 he that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father, and I will love him, and will manifest my self to him.

John14:15 if Ye love me, keep my commandments.

GOD IS LOVE, SO WHAT IS LOVE? LOVE IS THE COMMANDMENTS BEING KEPT BY US!!!
YOU ARE A LIGHT TO THE WORLD WHEN YOU KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND SHOW THE WAYS OF GOD TO THE WORLD
THIS IS THE LIGHT THAT JESUS SHOWED US. THIS IS THE LIGHT THAT SAVES. JESUS WAS AN IMAGE OF HIS FATHER, HE CAME TO SHOW US THE FATHER, AND WE ARE TO BE AN IMAGE OF JESUS, SO THAT WE CAN SHOW ARE FATHER TO THE WORLD.

YOU ACCEPT GOD WHEN YOU CHOSE TO LOVE; BECAUSE, GOD IS LOVE.
GO AND SIN NO MORE!!! GREAT WORDS FROM THE SAVIOR. BECAUSE SIN DENIES LOVE.

That being said, there is no greater love then for a man to lay his life down for his friends. Jesus did it for us! Now we must do the same for the brethren.

God is Love. If we live by the two great laws of Love, all the law is fulfilled. Imagine, God is love, amen.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

"And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."

A great multitude that no man can number...
...is everyone.

There can be no other outcome of a perfect plan. This is how much He loves us.
