Just like he promised not to flood the earth ever again, he made other promises too. This promise was made in reference to our coming saviour. Praise God.

Isaiah 54:9-10

“For this is like the waters of Noah to Me;
For as I have sworn
That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth,
So have I sworn
That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10 For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Piper this promise is the one that gives me the MOST hope... And I only received it a while back...The Scripture I mean. Check out what God says here, is this not just GRACE at it's peak?.... A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

God is always with us, He will never rebuke us, & we should be not be fearful if the mountains & hills disappear, have faith that God is with you. Don't rebuke God, because He will not rebuke us. Even though God is not going to cause a flood like Noah's, there will be destruction, as in the moutains & hills disappearring.
The last part of the op verse, "covenant of peace" can have dual meanings. One having to do with literal Jews & literal Jerusalem & literal Israel, while New Testament verses are similar also, to the promise to all Christians that we will not suffer God's wrath.

And this rainbow covenant still circumcises the throne, in appearance like a precious testimony, colored "renewal"

And a bit later we read that it (unlike the thorns) is a proper crown for the messenger of Yeshua.

Peace.

(cub, right? the plane?)

I love those verses so much, and my kiddos actually found me a poster with v. 10 on it, and had it framed for me. ♥

Thanks!

For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.(2 Cor. 1:20)

Hi There,
very close to a cub, actually called a piper-pacer. Same paint color used on cubs though ..Good eye!!
Those are some of my favourite verses; i feel God really spoke his heart to me in them. I am going to look for a framed portion too -- declaring it in my home as a constant reminder of his goodness. Bless you sister!!! <3
