LGF,

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

is this one of the commandments you keep if you know God?

Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

4*But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

studydude will come also and change 'sabbath' to 'not any real sabbath but only fake sabbaths that are not and never have been real sabbaths at all'
and then he will change '
law' to 'not any real law but only fake laws that are not and never have been real laws at all'

so i ask him about new moon festivals, does that also mean '
not any real new moon but only fake new moons that are not and never have been new moons at all' ?
because this doesn't make sense to me; the moon is in the sky all this time where everyone can see it, how can anyone have a fake phase of the moon? it would be amazing news if that is true! but he will not answer me. for months, i ask. he won't answer. he gives me a snake instead of a fish, and it makes me sad :(

hundreds of pages to tell us the scripture doesn't actually mean what it actually says! and we're still not convinced! wow this kind of education takes a long time ;)
but Christ will convict everyone of the truth, and to Him time is like nothing, clay in His hand if He purpose it to be. He is faithful to finish what He began :)
But you are not interested in the answers I do give Post.

You preach that God's Instructions are the "Vain Deceit" "rudiments of the world", traditions of men in Colossians 2. You preach Jesus battled against God and made a show of Him openly, "Triumphing" over Him.

When asked to explain yourself, you deflect.

I have asked you to tell me where you found the Blood of Jesus, and His Flesh that Jesus said you MUST eat and drink before you can have eternal life. You refuse to answer, discuss, just like before. Yet you "come in His name" on this forum"

You can make these things up, I don't care.

"studydude will come also and change 'sabbath' to 'not any real sabbath but only fake sabbaths that are not and never have been real sabbaths at all'
and then he will change '
law' to 'not any real law but only fake laws that are not and never have been real laws at all'
You have your religion, I don't agree with it.

Studyman,

"Blood of Jesus, and His Flesh that Jesus said you MUST eat and drink before you can have eternal life."

let's talk about that

it sounds to me like this

1 Corinthians 11: 23. For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed took bread. 24. When he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me." 25. In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me." 26. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

Well that is not true all my good friend, these are your words and not God's. God says that SIN is breaking his LAW not me
Sin is breaking His Law, but you teach His Law is the 10 Commandments, this Scriptures does not teach. When Jesus said " A NEW commandment I give unto you, Love One Another" He effectively made all other commandments OLD. Here is something that you can not dispute. Jesus Christ COMMANDS US to Love One Another, He NEVER Commanded us to keep the 10 Commandments. That is a FACT and is undisputable. Else show the verse where Jesus teaches KEEP THE 10 Commandments. You do error and are blinded by a false doctrine that satan started. Jesus and all of His Disciple plainly taught for us to Believe on Jesus and to Love One Another, but you ADD to what they taught by teaching that we ALSO MUST keep the Sabbath, which they Jesus and His Apostle broke on several occasions.

Here is another indisputable FACT. The Old Testament was very clear about keeping the Sabbath, punishable by death if you didn't. Over and over and over again, it plainly and clearly taught Keep the Sabbath. The New Testament, does not teach even ONCE to keep the Sabbath, NOT ONCE.

Is not keeping the Sabbath to do no work on that day?

Lev_23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

Please take notice that it is JESUS, the Lord, that said this, for look at verse 1:

Lev 23:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

So Jesus told Moses there is to be NO WORK done on the Sabbath. Yet we see Jesus in the Flesh saying plainly "I WORK"

Joh 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

Are you hearing that? Jesus under the old Covenant plainly teaches to do no work on the Sabbath, but under the New Covenant we don't hear Jesus saying that all, do we? He Himself even testifies that HE WORKS on the Sabbath.

The pharisees condemned Jesus because He actually did work on the Sabbath. Do you know who else condemns people for not keeping the Sabbath? The user with the screen name LoveGodForever.

LoveGodForever teaches His Commandments are the 10 Commandments.
Jesus NEVER taught that.
Apostle NEVER taught that.
Scriptures teaches His Commandments are to believe on Jesus and to Love One Another. Anyone who ADDS more to that, is in danger of bringing plagues upon him/herself.

Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (you have been warned)

So if you continue to try to ADD burdens to the Christian Body of Jesus Christ, when Jesus nor any Apostle ever instructed us to do those things, then you are asking for these plagues. Stop teaching Christians to do something that even Jesus nor any Apostle ever instructed them to do.
You act as if it is your life long mission to preach that doctrine of Keeping the Sabbath, When Jesus nor any Apostle ever once was instructed by the Holy Ghost to make sure to include that thing in the New Covenant, NOT ONCE. You deem it important, but Jesus never did. The Apostle never did. The Holy Spirit of Truth never did. If it was as important as YOU seem to think it is, then Jesus, Apostles, and Holy Ghost all forgot to mention it. Or maybe YOU are wrong, and they did not forget to mention it, because it is not what Christians are commanded to Keep. hmmmmm.

Yes, yes, i get it, you feel like your calling is to teach Keep the Sabbath, therefore if we don't have to, what will you do then? All your study for NOTHING, NOPE can't have that can we? no, so you just keep on teaching that false doctrine, because that is all that you know how to do. But i and many others have warned you, so you will not be able to plead ignorance on that Day, when Jesus asks you "Why did you continually try to put words into my mouth? Why were you teaching the sheep to keep things, that I never taught them to keep?" How can you possibly answer Him?

you say "another long rant", but you don't agree or disagree? Is the conclusion right or wrong?, and if it is wrong prove it, so that the truth may be seen.
Because I don't bother to read it. A fact about forums that the long winded posters ignore is the longer the post the fewer people will bother to read it. If you can't make your point in a couple of paragraphs then don't bother. Too many times the long posts have redundant information. Make your point and post it with scripture references.

The law is the 613 rules as stated in the Torah. That includes the 10 commandments. Jesus stated that the law is eternal and will cease only after the heavens and earth pass away.

Here is what Jesus said concerning the law.

Matthew 5:17 to 20 NIV

The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Indeed you should listen to your own advice. It is not God that is teaching you to break the Commandments of God.
Scriptures plainly teach that His Commandments are 1)Believe on Jesus and 2)Love One Another.
LoveGodForver teaches His Commandments are the 10 Commandments that were given to the Israelites to obey under the old covenant.
i teach what Scriptures teach, that His Commandments are 1)Believe on Jesus and 2)Love One Another.
YOU do not believe that. YOU believe the 10 Commandments should be ADDED to that, this is what YOU believe the verse should say.

LoveGodForever 3:23 And this is His commandment, That we should 1) Believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, 2) Love one another, and 3) Keep the 10 Commandments.

Sorry that is NOT what Scriptures teach, that is what YOU teach, and it is wrong. You are ADDING to that verse, based on your own interpretations of Scriptures.

So you are equating yourself with John the Baptist? That statement has been given to the greatest prophet, and we now see you taking that statement and applying it to yourself. You don't see something amiss there?

I am NOT teaching what you a claiming or teaching, I am a no one, a voice crying in the wilderness to prepare the way of the Lord sharing God's Word that says; SIN which is breaking God's 10 Commandments and not BELIEVING God's WORD will keep ALL those who KNOWINGLY BREAK God's Commandments OUT of God's KINGDOM.

Amen, that is exactly right, what the Israelites were told time and again under the old covenant. Thank you Jesus we Christians are now under YOUR COVENANT and not the covenant YOU gave to the Israelites. Thank you Jesus.

You my friend do not KNOW GOd's WORD and are indeed guilty of judging others because you cannot see clearly because of the beam in your eye.
lol. You have provoked me to boast in the Lord, i have read the entire Bible front to back over 80 times in my life, have had many conversations with God concerning the Word and what is to come, i have spoke with Angels of God, had dreams and visions from God, Jesus performed miracles using me, Jesus is on my mind from the time i wake up till i go to bed at night. i do all things to please Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, my Master and God. i do not obey any temptations that satan throws at me, i abhor sinning of any kind whatsoever. And you think a beam is in my eye lol.

If then you have removed the beam out of thine own eye, you can see clearly to tell me what beam in my eye you think you see?

i guess if a person were to have a really confused, perverted misunderstanding of Colossians 2, they might obviously think i'm 'making it up as i go along'

???
Col. 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Jesus walked in the Commandments of God, not the traditions of men.

You preach Paul is warning about God's Instructions, not the religious traditions of man. Paul is warning the Colossians to be careful not to be deceived by religious men and their worldly religious traditions, He is not telling them to "Beware" not to be deceived by God's Instructions as you imply.

If you are convinced that God's Commandments are "vain deceit", that would explain why you think Jesus battled against God and "triumphed over Him", instead of battling against and overcome the doctrines and Laws created by those children of satan that condemned Him.

There is not one Commandment from God that is against us. Even the law that says the wages of sin is death is for our admonition.(Rom. 7:13) But the Laws the Jews who "taught for doctrines the Commandments of Men" and not from God, are against us. It was THEM that condemned Jesus, it was THEIR Laws that kept the Gentiles away from God's Salvation, not God's Laws.

Jesus made a show of "THEM" openly and their Law "We have a Law and by OUR Law, He should die", did not hold Jesus, they killed Him, but their Law did not stick, Jesus rose from the dead, making a show of them openly, not God. He triumphed over them, not God as you preach..

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

God and His instructions are not your spiritual enemy as you preach Post, the religious traditions of man are your spiritual enemy.

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

These things are from God, not man. His Feasts, His Instructions, which are a shadow if "things to come". Some things have already come, Passover for instance. Some things have not happened yet. Feast of Atonement is a shadow of a thing that hasn't come yet. So those on the narrow Path are interested in God's Instructions, not the religious tradition of man.

18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Jesus walked in the true commandments of God and was hated by the Mainstream God of Abraham preachers of this time. But He didn't let anyone sway Him from doing what His Father Commanded, and he told us to do the same.

20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

These are not talking about God's Instructions, but about religious men's traditions that we are supposed to be dead with Christ from.

You are free to make your case that it is God and His instructions which condemned Jesus, and not the religious traditions of man that Paul warned of. Last time you just mocked me and deflected. Maybe this time you will provide Biblical evidence of your preaching.

But Dan, you had to go to another part of the Bible to explain what Jesus meant by a statement He made. In other Words, the scripture;

" 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

By itself is not sufficient to understand. One must continue to study and "SEEK" to understand what He means and we find that He doesn't really expect us to find His flesh and eat it. But that this statement has a Spiritual Meaning that can be unlocked only by further study.

Is it any different regarding the Word's of Jesus before He became a man? Do we "stone" people to death today, or is there a Spiritual meaning we find with further study.

yes, i did go to another part of the bible

i posted one reference

now it's your turn, you can agree that that passage relates, or disagree

if you disagree, then we can talk about details of why each of us thinks the way we do

if you agree, then we can move on to stoning

Actually the KJV did not do a good job translating that verse. It ignore the definite article "τοις".
The Greek looks like this, "χειρογραφον (Handwriting) τοις (to the) δογμασιν (ordinances)"

The definite article τοις
would translate to the English word "the".

So one can easily see it is the Handwriting of the ordinances and not the Handwriting of ordinances. "The Handwriting of the ordinances" would be the Handwriting that pertain to the ordinances.
The handwriting of ordinances could be misconstrued as to include the ordinances themselves. This is not the intent of the Author.

There is a another issue, but it is not as a big of a deal. The KJV has the clause translated to the Genitive case by the use of "of".

The clause is in the Dative case which would dictate the use of the word "to".

Robinson's morphological analyze codes states this on the Dative (indirect object, "to"; also location "in", "at"; instrument, "with")

So with all that is above, one can clearly see that it should be translated "Handwriting to the ordinances" and not the "handwriting of ordinances".
thanks dear

so what is you believe,

wich th is being blotting, the hand writing ordinance, include Moses and God handwriting, or the pertain ordinance.

give me example of the pertain ordinance

“For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

i maintain that "law" means "law"

"Do you not know, brothers and sisters — for I am speaking to those who know the law — that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives?"

you took Romans 7 v.7 . well, in the same chapter , v. Paul says believers died to the law through the body of Christ.so, thanks again for proving my point.
Hello gb9 the only thing that has been proved is that you take scripture out of CONTEXT. The CONTEXT of 1 John 3:23 is SIN.

Have you heard of topical bible study? It is when you get your concordence out and you study all the scritures in relation to a topic. In this case it is SIN. Google it. God's Word defines sin as BREAKING GOD'S COMMANDMENT, UNBELIEF and NOT OBEYING GOD when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come to you.

Firstly you have been provided with God's Word showing scripture context for the passage you quoted the CONTEXT of the scripture passage you quotes is SIN which v4 says is breaking God's Commandments.

This agrees also with the writings of James 2:9-11 and Paul Romans 7:7 and 3:20. So the point here on topic and CONTEXT is that Paul, James and John all agree that SIN is breaking God's LAW (10 Commandments). This was added because it is on TOPIC and CONTEXT showing that PAUL, JAMES and JOHN all agree what SIN is and that SIN is the CONTEXT you leave out of your interpretation of 1 John 3:23 to come up with your false interpretation of the scriptures.

You say that John is saying LOVE without God's LAW while the scriptures and CONTEXT say LOVE with God's LAW and LOVE is the fulfilling of it in those who BELIEVE. This is why you where provided topical (LOVE) scripture from JESUS, JAMES and PAUL all showing that LOVE is the MOTIVATION of keeping God's LAW.

You indeed pluck scriptures out of CONTEXT and topic. When you are provided God's Word to help you all you do is accuse me of something that you are doing yourself without addressing any of the scriptures and posts that have been sent to you to help you. gb9 it is time to be honest and stop hiding from God's Word.

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.......................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

What you seem to refuse to acknowledge is that there was a Law "ADDED" to God's existing Laws which dealt with the remission of sins. One can not be made righteous without having past sins forgiven. Before the Messiah came there were Levitical Priesthood Ceremonial "Works of the Law" which were performed by the Levite priests specifically used for the remission of sins.. It's in your Bible. Paul called this "the Law of Works". After Jesus offered His life to remove these past sins, this Levitical Priesthood was changed as Jer. 31 and Heb. 7 tells us. I would quote the scriptures but you would just ignore them as you did the last time I posted them. The Mainstream Preachers of His time were still pushing this "LAW" even after Jesus rose from the dead.

Paul is telling those people he was addressing that if they are still relying on the Pharisees version of the Levitical Priesthood ceremonial " Works of the Law" for removal of sin, then Christ died in vain.

It wasn't honor and obedience to God that caused my Spiritual death, it was my rebellion and natural wickedness. And according to God's Law, this behavior killed me.

But Jesus paid my death penalty, I am no longer "Under the Law" or no longer Dead as Paul says.

5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit,( Alive) and not in the oldness of the letter. (DEad in our sins.

1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, (Transgression of God's Laws)that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Since you have been convinced that the God of Abraham is an unjust God, and that His Instructions are "Rudiments of the World", vain deceit. And that Jesus isn't "one with the Father" as He teaches at all, but that Jesus battled against God, and actually made a show of God openly, "Triumphing over God" on the cross. You are unable to understand the truth. Paul explains that this also happened to the Pharisees who also "transgressed God's Commandments by their own religious traditions, as you preach to do.

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

I believe this is why you preach that God's Commandments are "vain deceit" and that Jesus "triumphed over God" in Col. 2.

Which to me is not only degrading the great God of Abraham, but also accusing Jesus of rebelling against God so as to bring Him down to your level.

I disagree with your religion because the Bible disagrees with your religion.

yes, i did go to another part of the bible

i posted one reference

now it's your turn, you can agree that that passage relates, or disagree

if you disagree, then we can talk about details of why each of us thinks the way we do

if you agree, then we can move on to stoning

No Dan,

We have some fundamental disagreements at the very core of our belief. It would be foolish to flail around in the branches when the real issue is the very foundation, the very Root of our beliefs.

I would love to have discussion about it. But one liners and "My scripture is tougher than your scripture" games, I have been drawn into these fruitless discussions before, much to me shame, and have no desire to be drawn into them again.

However, on the chance that you might actually be interested in intellectually honest discussions, why not start with a fundamental belief.

For instance, I believe Jesus was the God of the Old Testament, that is was Him, before becoming a Man, who spoke to Cain, Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc.

Do you believe this?

hi Shamah

"For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands"

is this one of the commands you keep if you love God?

Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

4*But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
