I'm sorry but no one has the right to give jesus placement ,in any context ,those who believe they have that right are not walking the path of god
What exactly do you mean no one has the right to give Jesus placement?
I would rather say, no one has the right to give JESUS REplacement...

Those who put HIM FIRST and FOREMOST are indeed walking the WAY of GOD...for HE is THE WAY of GOD.
Any man who professes "another way"...has no right to...

What do you think CHRIST meant when HE said, those who love their lives will lose it, but those who lose their lives for ME and the GOSPEL will find it and keep it to ETERNAL LIFE.

Or, seek first HIS KINGDOM and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS?

What does this mean?

I found nothing new from posting here and find the responses I have been getting to my post to be symmetric of today's Christianity, I guess I had hoped to discover that some people believed like me that our promotion ,organisation, and commitment to Christianity and God had in a way detracted from the teachings of god being put in to active everyday life which could really effect the world we live in and the people we live in it with , God bless you all my brothers and sisters act upon your faith and serve jesus through your actions ,enjoy today ,and I shall keep you all in my thoughts as I move forward on gods path

Act upon your faith and serve JESUS through your actions.

Yes sir. And this will make manifest the fruits that will be known as wrought in GOD

we are to bring all iur works into THE LIGHt. We are to let our light/love shine on ALL men that they may see "our" good works and glorify GOD on that day

but these works are made manifest to us that they are wrought in GOD

We are GODS workmanship created in CHRIST JESUS unto good works which HE prepared in advance that we should walk in
It is to GODS glory that we bear fruit showing ourselves to be HIS Disciples

Hi Andy, do you read the bible? I ask this because I am getting a sense of something from you but want that answered first.

Ecclesiastes 12:11

The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails given by one shepherd.

A sense of something, that's interesting, would it be okay for you to share further so I could reply properly

Well your first post was about the bible being relevent today. You haven't defended the bible very much in your posts so that is why I ask if you read the bible. You seem to have a relationship with Jesus without looking to the word. If I am wrong in assuming this I apologize.

I would say my path with jesus is more to do with actioning the teachings of the bible more over defending it , I think the defence of religion and the bible detracts from its teachings and in today's world defending gods word has led to an abandonment of God's teachings , I sometimes wonder when God sees the world through my eyes if this is how his teachings and the spread of his word would have evolved as he had wanted for mankind , would God point to the defence of his word , or the decline in the practice of his word , I am troubled in my relationship with modern christianity , or maybe I should say that I feel if modern Christianity was different in its relationship with God then the world we live in and how we live would be different

Can the teachings in the bible stand the test of our time and the world we live in now and in the future

You will find, as your life progresses, that everything Jesus taught is true. When you break the commandments, it always comes back to haunt you.

Well I don't believe the Word of God evolves at all. For it to evolve would mean that God's word isn't good enough for us today. Your belief system sounds a bit gnostic or esoteric.

theonomy has evolved in accordance with a societal value system that has progressed and changed because of us, not because of God's word, we today, decide what parts of the bible are acceptable to follow ,and what parts to ignore , is it not for the bible to prepare us for the Gospel and then to recieve the Gospel in the way that jesus wanted , we have laws today that will not allow the practise of rituals preformed and revered in the bible maybe your right the bible hasn't evolved but we have,we as Christians decided and made choices on the bible without the permission of god to satisfy who we are not who God wanted us to be

yes, Christians today pick and choose what they want to believe in the Bible. Well I should say some do. Most Christians believe the entire Word of God. Are you saying we should only use certain parts of the Bible?

Yes and that was the problem from the beginning
We decided we knew better than GOD what was bette
for us
it didn't work then so why should it work now?r
And it's because it didn't work them that we are all where we are now and in need of the ONE who is THE WAY back to the presence of GOD

Religion has no place in the bible. Religion is man made, it is man's attempt to reach God. God came to man.
There are no rituals or things of that nature required, Jesus has fulfilled that which is required. We are to be found in him.
The new testament is not a new religion, Christianity is found and born in the old testament. The belief in the messiah, the savior.
God's word is to pierce the heart of man, to convict and to convert.
We are to worship God in spirit and in truth. Not by rituals, or religious tasks. Jesus is the finished work. We are as filthy rags trying to please God with our own abilities. I see nothing against the law of the land which prohibits our worship to God. If you can point it out please do so.

There's a difference between "religion" and the TRUTH of GOD.
The problem is men think when they are discussing GOD, they are looking on the outward visible practices and forms signifying who we say we worship and how we worship rather than understanding that these are simply outward professions before the eyes of men...

But GOD and knows what is that inward profession...and that is not hidden from HIS EYES...even if it is hidden from men's eyes..

Therefore, men can judge imperfectly with near sighted eyes only what is outward and only by the outward standards which the world has placed on 'forms of religiosity"...but, as the above poster mentioned, those who worship GOD must worship in SPIRIT and in TRUTH.

If CHRIST said HE is TRUTH and that HIS WORDS are SPIRIT and they are LIFE, what would that mean exactly?
That HE is THE TRUTH/WORD/SPIRIT/LIFE of GOD made manifest so that by GOD'S declared Will and Work (John 6) all me who see and believe in THE SON, have LIFE and HE (The SON) will raise them up on the last day?

Does GOD lie?

KJV Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

'Relevant?' That is usually a word brought up by Church growth advocates who end up wanting to taylor the message to fit the times and thus diluting it.

Nope, the message doesn't change and is always relevant.
Man's sin doesn't change and people still die because of it. The cure remains the same as well. Christ's shed blood on Calvary some 2000 years ago...it nor it's power changes either.
It should be asked can the world stand the testing foretold in God's Word about to come upon it?
