Ovid's metamorphoses tells the story as I told it, except the demon part. The Book of Enoch tells the story, except the enforcers' part. Those are both contemporaries of Jesus. Pliny tells us that a dinosaur skeleton found in Judea shortly after Jesus' time was considered manufactured. The Mayan Popul Vuh follows the Egyptian names of the giants, which comes from the words for manufactured, and is derived from "children of the shepherds", the name given in the book of Enoch. These names go back to the earliest dynasties. Sumerian cylinder seals show babies being born from the goddess in what looks like a chemical laboratory, these date from pre-Abraham. Nothing that is proof, since all could be copies of an earlier fairy tale, but there is a consistent story that does not contradict the Bible.
The problem with Biblical proof, is that the libraries were destroyed just before 400AD. The old explanations were forgotten, and it is only in the last 30 years we can even conceive this idea. Meanwhile, we have 1500 years of Scripture Scholarship that never suspected what certain Hebrew words might mean, and so all our books tell us they mean something different. We naturally have all been trained from those books, as have all the translators of the Bible. We just follow what we are taught.
