"How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?" -Galatians 3:3

Yes but we are not discussing that "Do this and you'll be more like God"

We are discussing in regards to Christianity, through the Grace of God we are called to fulfill His commandments to love one another, which in response fulfills the old testament commandments. Hislastwalk you seem to be concerned ONLY with the salvation aspect - we are not discussing that. and you keep saying this "what Jesus said was old covenant" but then contradict saying that "He was transitioning people", YES Jesus was teaching Christianity to the Jews, Paul taught "Honour you're mother and father, this is the first commandment with a promise" - We are taught these things, not to fulfill the law, but to understand what God sees as sin. The Law shows us what sin is, however, be absolutely drowned in Grace, you get what else Paul said - "where sin abounds, Grace abounds more" so people absolutely drowned in grace, believe that its okay to sin, its absolutely fine, why bother changing?!

Because I think some people are getting confused by what my original post is saying let me just clarify this:

In our lives, we required God's grace to save us, for without His unmerited favour (definition of Grace) we couldn't meet the requirements that God had set us (The Law), now Jesus has came and paid the price for our sins, the perfect sacrifice, in that, Grace and mercy is ever-abounding today and we are free to call ourselves sons and daughters of God because He has made us righteous - however! Christ has set us 2 new commandments - To love God and to love one another! and these 2 commandments sum up ALL the law and ALL the prophets. But we must not become so drowned out on Grace that we turn it into ignorance, where we can live wishy washy lukewarm lives saying "oh no matter how much I sin, I'm under grace not law!" Grace is not an excuse to sin, but it is the freedom from our sin!

The Grace of God, the reason God said that the law had nothing to do with him giving grace for man to be saved; is Because the law didn't come till four hundred years later......... so how can God say to someone do this or that or obey my law so you can be saved when there was NO LAW GIVING!!! So this is what the Lord God is saying how salvation is by grace. Now, we need to learn how to receive the salvation God is offering through grace. God is saying, When I decided to save mankind it was not based on what they had to do....why? because they didn't know what I wanted them to do YET. So, because I have MADE A WAY for them to not be ETERNALLY LOST, with OWING THEM ANYTHING, CAUSE THEY DID NOT GIVE ANYTHING, not because they could not give it, but because, THERE IS NO WAY POSSIBLE ANY MAN CAN DO ANYTHING TO TAKE AWAY WHAT ADAM DID TO THEM. THE LAW I GAVE ADAM WHEN HE BROKE IT; HE MESSED IT UP FOR ALL HIS SEED. It was not Moses law we are being redeemed from, it was Adams law. The LAW of SIN and DEATH.
Which caused all man to spiritually die............ remember, Moses law did not cause no man to loose their souls/spiritually die......... ALL WAS ALREADY DEAD!!, BEFORE MOSES LAW EVEN CAME....... THEY DIED THROUGH THE FIRST MAN ADAM, Moses Law was not for salvation................

But there was a process in Moses' law that could be used to forgive sins, Yet, it could not make man whole again... perfect, or save their souls/spirits... which forgiveness can do, but even though they were forgiven, they kept on sinning the same sins, which voided the first act of forgiveness... ( Hebrews 9-10-11) So what God done, as He planed to do from the beginning ( when Adam sinned) was, with out owing it to man he was going to give them a process to be saved........... using the old testament sacrificial law, and token of covenant ( circumcision) to show us the way things are going to be THROUGH THE LAW OF FAITH.... So Grace...... is the way God brought through a perfect way to save souls.......... REMEMBER THE BIBLE SAY.... WHERE THERE IS NO LAW, THERE IS NO SIN, SO IF GOD SAID NO MORE LAW, THEN YOUR SINS ARE NO LONGER SINS, THEN IF YOU LIE, CHEAT, STEAL, COMMIT IDOLATRY, ect........ God can not say No man has sinned, but we have to see the big plan of God, He gave us a law, but it is one he said He will help us to fullfill, with understanding of the nature of the flesh, giving us the Holy Spirit through the shed Blood of Christ Jesus, and ALLLLLLLLL the works he has done,,,,,,

God, has giving a law, the law of faith. yet through grace in which this law came, Man was going to STOP SINNING THE SAME SINS, NOT COMING BACK EVERY YEAR FOR THE SAME SINS TO REPENT OF............ THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKING FROM THE INSIDE OUT, CHANGING THE HEART AND MINDS, PURGING US, CLEANSING US, PREPARING US FOR THE WORLD TO COME. there is so much more....... tried to summerize much as I could, if want to talk about inbox me. God Bless........

Think of this for a minute. In (Mt 5) multitudes had followed Christ from everywhere, so he goes up into a mountain, set Himself and the disciples came unto Him. Then He begins to teach them. In (v.27,28) JESUS says the following...

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

JESUS refers to the commandment of not committing adultery as of 'old time' and then says this...BUT I SAY UNTO YOU... the next thing that comes out of His mouth is going to exceed what they heard from 'old time' and this is going to be something new in their ears...

'That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.'

Abstaining from physical adultery was no longer God's standard and good enough and JESUS with this statement is involving not the outward act or appearance but the issues of the heart (Prov 4:23, Mt 15:19). No longer would man be judged by outward acts that violated the law of the commandments, but rather he was to be judged by the issue of the heart and no one could see those issues from the heart to judge them as transgressors against the law of commandments. People look and judge by outward appearance but God looks upon the heart...

1Sam 16:7

7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

You could be someone that outwardly fails much because of the weakness of your flesh, but God looks upon your heart and sees that you desire and are after Him with your whole heart and deals with you according to His mercy and grace. OR - You could be someone that does not fail outwardly and seems to walk the straight and narrow, but in your heart you entertain those issues that come and proceed from the heart and that is what God is looking upon and He is not able to give that person mercy and grace because their heart would not receive or profit from it. Do you see the difference?

In (Luke 15) the elder brother stayed at home and worked in the field and was a faithful hard working son, but when his younger brother came home from his riotous living, what was in the elder brother's heart was revealed and the father of the two had to come out from the celebration and entreat his elder son. Read the story and see what God will show you about that.
Very nice. :)

True Christian love fulfills the law (Romans 13:8-10; Galatians 5:13-15; I Peter 1:22). So that this love given by the we have Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5) comes from God's Grace.
