Reeading the bible through is fun
and necessary but not just surface reading
get a free bible

and when you hover over the word with mouse the real meaning comes up you learn lots in a short time

just read the bible through from Generation to revealing

The scope of Babylon and how it pertains to history takes too much space to discuss fully in this post, but there are a few points that can be made such as

1. Babylon has it's start with the tower of Babel under Nimrod with a geo-political-religious unification of man under one man in an attempt to storm heaven and over throw God.
2. God confounded the language of humans and scattered the people abroad so as to hinder the attempt, because it was not yet time for that to come to fruition. babel=confusion
3. Babylon would come on line as the top Kingdom of the world for it's time and would conquer Jerusalem and after three subsequent invasions and deportations brought the Kingdom of Judah to ruin and captivity. Interesting to note that under Nebuchadnezzar we see a (painting) of what is coming in the beast and his image.
4. Babylon still represents (confusion) and the particular scripture in question involves the invasion of Judah and what the invading Babylonian invaders would do to the children of Judah.
5. Blended within the context of the chapters that deal with Babylon we find both past/present and future context.
6. Within this blending we find the daughter of Babylon and some 80 characteristics that identifier (HER) and what (NATION) she represents. 10.5 billion to one when you do the math--->U.S.
7. The culmination of Babylon is found in Revelation when a (mystery) city is envisioned in the end of the age which is destroyed by fire from the culmination of the Roman Empire and what it (evolved) into (ten horns under the beast) which will be Islamic in nature and be motivated by God to burn the great (whore) who is represented by Babylon, that (MEGA CITY) as found in Revelation.
8. A careful study will reveal Satan's attempt thru the ages to bring about a total rebellion against God united under one man (worshipped as God) and can be seen in the rise and fall of the 7 major Kingdoms that have exercised dominion over the Middle East and especially Israel/Jerusalem!

[h=3]As always G-d's Word defends it's self!!!

Psalm 137[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]137 By the rivers of Babylon,
There we sat down, yea, we wept
When we remembered Zion.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]We hung our harps
Upon the willows in the midst of it.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song,
And those who plundered us requested mirth,
Saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”[/h][SUP]4 [/SUP]How shall we sing the Lord’s song
In a foreign land?
[SUP]5 [/SUP]If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
Let my right hand forget its skill!
[SUP]6 [/SUP]If I do not remember you,
Let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth—
If I do not exalt Jerusalem
Above my chief joy.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Remember, O Lord, against the sons of Edom
The day of Jerusalem,
Who said, “Raze it, raze it,
To its very foundation!”

[SUP]8 [/SUP]O daughter of Babylon, who are to be destroyed,
Happy the one who repays you as you have served us!
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Happy the one who takes and dashes
Your little ones against the rock!

Babylon is "confusion", and all the other details of it can be gleaned from that one simple name meaning and the scriptures that reference it.

Lol funny you say,, he is soft squishy teddy bear in my relationship... But for those who do his sons/daughters wrong i rather not think about it. I will not hope his wrath on no man for I wouldn't want his wrath on me. May mercy be with them on that day.
