Im not saying tongues is the only sign either wolf. But, something was said that the apostles knew that Holy Spirit had been given. There was both prophecy and tongues initially spoken. Both come out of Spirit, not the mind. Same as the word of wisdom- knowledge.
In the great crowd I was in when I received Holy Spirit, no one spoke that I witnessed. I was given a sign however, a wind. Then praise filled my heart.
I never worshipped until then like I do now. Tongues came out of worship then. But, that's me and how the Lord was with me. We all are His children and will receive differently.
I wonder why you and I always end up in this discussion. Lol
Do you think healing was included in the atonement? I have no idea what you believe about this.

Well let me give you some replys of your questiions.
1. I meant the charismatic renewal movement which starts in the RCC
2. Why we are coming always to this point. Because we are in this matter toatal different. Why I am doubt about this teaching (baptism with the Holy Spirit and as sign the speaking in tongues)?
Because if this teaching is truth, then all other teachings about it are wrong.
Why? Because arcoeding this teaching the initiator is the Holy Spirit and not human minds behind. (almost all other doctrines bases on an different scripture understanding)
So if the pentecostal/charismatic teaching is right, then all who deny it,are wrong and working against the Holy Spirit- This is an consequence and fact.
So now I am wonder that this teaching nowhwere before is found in the NT bible teaching, where we have the teachings for the NT believer. But I would expect that such an important teaching would be taught in the bible. Also there are may many hints of speaking in tongues ore prophecies in the churchhistorie, but this particular teaching about the receiving the Holy Spirit as empowerment and as sign for that speaking in tongues, we do not find in churchhistorie.
So if it was not taught, I doubt that the Holy Spirit is the Initiator of this doctrine. Special whenI look back that the same spirit spitt christianity, that the same Spirit accept RCC doctrine.
3. Healing in the Atonement, my view?
Let me give an example.
The butterflie is an good example for that. Before a butterfly will come out of the puppet, he lives
as butterly caterpillar. The butterfly is hide in the genetic of this caterpillar. So normally this
caterpillar will one day fly. If you expect now, that this caterpillar will fly, you will can do what
you want, but he can not. This is not an perfect example, but shows what i believe.
I believe that in my present body I can be sick, blind, paralysed without getting healed, but when
the Lord changes my body when I die ore when I face his coming into the air, i cant get sick
anymore. So as John wrote in his 1.letter, 3,2 „Beloved , now are we sons of God, and it doth not
yet appear what we shall be, but we know that, when he shall apear, we shall be like him, for we
shall see him as he is.“
I see the healing in the atonement in the sense that he carryed and payed for my sin, so my soul is „healed“ To see more in it makes no sense, because physical healing is an expierince of less
believers. The most believers will face sickness and deseases in their life.
If someone claims now that an sick believer has only to less faith, thats why he is sick
is an pressure and burden which is not in the will of God.
Of course we should have faith when we pray, but its our heavenly father who is in duty of the answer. Yes, No
ore later and not we can manipulte him through much and always the same words.
