Proverbs 1:5

These proverbs can even add to the knowledge of the wise and give guidance to the educated.

Sirach 1:20

To fear the Lord is the root of wisdom, and her branches are long life.
As long as the branches are in the ROOT and remain in the ROOT who is their LIFE...

Did you ever wonder what this TREE OF LIFE was to begin with?
And why was this TREE OF LIFE in the garden of GOD when Adam and Eve were perfect and alive?

The WAY to the TREE OF LIFE has been blocked.
But GOD has provided and has even declared THE WAY.

It's just that too many of the children are seeking "another way"...
In that day, man will be found professing "another way" apart from THE GIFT OF GOD

And that is NOT good.

Thomas, I don't know who you are...but you are not HOLDING onto the ONE whom you should hold on to first and foremost.
And that is CHRIST...

This supposed "wisdom" and "prophecy"?

It is things and nothings compared to the surpassing glory of knowing OUR LORD...(Philippians 3)
Do you think Jesus Christ doesn't want us to share our experience of knowledge and wisdom with people who need it ?

Have you not been working to share your knowledge and wisdom with people in this forum ?

1 Corinthians 12:8

To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,

Hebrews 13:16

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

I'm not reviling you, I'm not Roman Catholic. I judge that 'The Wisdom of Sirach' contains proverbs which are in harmony with The Bible.

Sirach implies our actions can bring favor upon ourselves, mitigate our sin in God’s eyes, and anticipate reciprocal responses from those we assist in their time of need (chapters 3, 7, 12, 17, and 22). This is in stark contrast to the Bible’s teaching to be a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7), salvation through faith and not by works (Galatians 2:15), and Jesus’ exhortation to give without expecting anything in return (Matthew 6:3). What is the book of Sirach?

Only God is Good. God cannot be split into two, God does not change, never fails and of a man has something Good then they have God. To have God is to know that man can hold nothing and that it is God who holds all things true and that can be.

Man is not God and man can hold nothing of Gods'. Man can be with God and God with him, that's it. Of you think, and your believe what you think, you are a servant of the liar. Your master is Satan. Jesus' words, for I am his advocate and these words are not my own.

willing to do that for me
as it is written
:read:
16*But Jesus called them to Him and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17*Verily I tell you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall by no means enter into it.

:now: tell us something about the wisdom of your understanding
compared to the wisdom that were been set apart (made holy by the wisdom of god)
unto the likes of a little child
where there are also adults act as a little child like those who do not have the capacity to think as our author here ( he made this thread thats why im pretty sure

Man can declare himself holy before GOD and believe it? Even if he doesn't have the RIGHT GARMENT and Covering before GOD

Sirach is accepted as part of the Christian biblical canons by Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, and most of Oriental Orthodox. The Anglican Church does not accept Sirach as protocanonical, and say it should be read only "for example of life and instruction of manners; but yet doth not apply them to establish any doctrine."[SUP][5][/SUP] Similarly, the LutheranChurches include it in their lectionaries, and as a book proper for reading, devotion, and prayer. It was cited in some writings in early Christianity.

One always had to be called and consecrated as called of GOD...
One couldn't just approach the HOLY PRESENCE of GOD as he chose...
He had to be washed, purified, set apart and consecrated and called by GOD.

If he wasn't, he couldn't approach the throne...for he would be found...uncovered...

Sorry sir.
Your declaring that man can come before GOD apart from THE COVERING is not correct...

Look at Aaron's sons...they did this...and it was as "strange fire" before GOD.

Again, I am sorry...

Thomas,

What do you think Peter meant in 1Peter 2?
Who do you think Peter was talking about?
Wisdom, words on paper...or the LIVING WORD of GOD enfleshed who is THE WISDOM of GOD made manifest

 (not laughing)
as what we've heard about the blind man from his birth
healed by our lord jesus christ the only begotten son of god
where he was lucky enough to see him on that situation
touch by the lord our saviour
when the time comes
as it is written
:read:
18*And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and out of darkness and obscurity the eyes of the blind shall see.
19*And the meek shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20*For he that did prevail hath failed, the scorner is consumed, and they are all cut off that watched for iniquity:
21*That made men sin by word, and supplanted him that reproved them in the gate, and declined in vain from the just.

Did you get that from What is the book of Sirach? ?

Do you think you may be being credulous in what you posted about What is the book of Sirach?

I don't judge that in 'The Wisdom of Sirach' selfish giving is encouraged. I study things to learn the truth about them. From my experience some people have said something is true and then when I have studied about what they have said is true, I have learnt what they said was not true.

Galatians 6:7

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Ephesians 6:8

because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

Philippians 2:12

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

Matthew 6:14

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Sirach 4:31

Do not let your hand be stretched out to receive and closed when it is time to give.

Sirach 31:24

The city complains of the one who is stingy with food, and their testimony to his stinginess is accurate.

1 Corinthians 9: 11 & part of 12

If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?
If others have this right of support from you, shouldn't we have it all the more?

2 Corinthians 8:14

your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance may supply your need, that there may be fairness.

Sirach 35:10

Be generous when you worship the Lord, and do not stint the first fruits of your hands.

Colossians 2: 2 & 3

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

1 Corinthians 14:26

What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.

God does speak to the ungodly, if he didn't they wouldn't turn to God.

My brother had a problem with agrophobia. One night he had a dream that he was in
the living room and a massive snake was circling around and around the room.

I told him God was showing him the true nature of his problem, but he didn't
believe me. At that point i started to pray in a different way for him, that
God would overcome the strangle hold over his life.

A year or so later he was able to start going out and getting on buses and in cars etc.
He even moved house a bit later.

I have also had loads of dreams from God, with some of them being prophetic in that
they came true. Don't underestimate or limit the ways of God in your life.
