And yes we are the salt of this earth we must make known that certain things are sin because if we don't we are no longer different from the world so we lose our savor so we are no longer good for anything. Because salt without savor is worthless.
I use Sea Salt. Plenty of savor there. In moderation, of course.

I know that this site doesn't allow sin to parade and if hope so. I'm talking about in the real world where too many times we are silent on all sorts of sin. We must speak up and unite under one church the Church of Jesus Christ.

No we should show the love of Jesus Christ. We shouldn't yell at them but let them know that its wrong and that there is a better way. Through the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

A little bit of bickering going on.

Question: If you do have openly homosexual people in your congregation, have you ever talked (at all) with them about the validity of it in God's eyes? If not, why not? I didn't say bash them, but actually come right out and ask them why it may or may not be fine with them.

I don't feel we have any right to "tell" them anything. But I do firmly believe we should be helping them to ask themselves some serious questions.

If they decide they are doing God's will, then let it go, and let God handle it.

That's a great point today too many times the Church is worried about their numbers in attendance rather than the numbers of those who stand with God. We need to simply let them understand it's not permitted in God's eyes.

That was directed to the person who made clear they believe they are to condemn - as though by divine imperative - those outside the church.

Yes but I pray no one would exalt pride, murder, or adultery. The thing that is happening now is people are happy when you come out of the closet as if something glorious. Sin is sin all is shameful and a reproach.

Not entirely true. If you're having a bad marriage or the spouse "isn't getting it done", then society says go ahead and cheat. And we are told to "be proud and confident." Confidence is completely different from pride. So 2 out of the 3 you just mentioned are promoted by society, and overlooked.

What would Jesus do? Did he sit silent and ask the tax collectors and merchants in the temple why they were there. No he acted and he drove them out with cords tied together. Also we are to shun them if they purposely continue in sin after they have been reproved.

People need to know they are sick first so that they might seek the cure, if someone has a unknown terminal illness and believes themselves to be healthy in their own minds, then why would they seek the great Physician? They need to know the illness so that perhaps they will seek out the cure by faith. :)

And we don't need to be bashing THAT person... just reminding them of, perhaps, better ways to approach the subject.

We are not to be like society we are to be different in our thoughts and in our works and the deeds we do. So yes society does but Christians shouldn't.

Haha, no, that person wants to bash/condemn gay people.
Like they won't see it coming and attempt to make an escape.

I don't think we're yet on the same page. We are to tell people, according to Jesus, what is right... not make sure they know how wrong they are.

And now the attempted escape has formed into a social
movement that has been gaining momentum for decades.

When I was a very young man (boy), I wanted to be around girls for a pretty limited purpose. A wise man taught me to learn to know them for much more.

OP sounds like those Baptists oh gosh can't remember their name, the family
group that pickets funerals and such, with placards saying God hates fags.

It's not bashing to let them know the error of their ways. If so Jesus would have "bashed" people.

Jesus made a whip specifically to drive people and animals out of the Temple court. You are all over the map on this one.
