If Heaven is similar to Eden, will my dead houseplants go to Heaven? ;)
Nah. I'll kill them before they can even make an impression on earth.

If every houseplant I've ever killed is going to be waiting for me in heaven...

No one is building a mansion for me!

My little plot is going to look like a Tropical Rain Forest (with a few cacti thrown in for good measure... and variety.)

(When it comes to anything green, I'm practically a serial killer.)

If there is the tree of life there could be spiritual house plants. I wonder if the Cactus is included.
Nah. I killed them too. (Only cactus to survive me is native to this area, so I leave it alone outside. lol)

Jesus had a physical body ... different but physical...at His resurrection...he ate and drank

What about the new heaven and the new earth and the New Jerusalem?

Jesus is riding a white horse in Revelation...

Frankly, I'm hoping to have a good cup of coffee with my dad in heaven...I'll make it the way he used to like it

I doubt very much that heaven is going to be a bunch of disembodied spirits
Jesus also has white wool hair and a flaming sword sticking out of his mouth in Revelation, so I wouldn't count too much on the literal aspect there. Either that or Eeeeek!

Houseplants, yes.

Weeds, grass, bushes, certain trees, cactus, flowers, plastic plants, asparagus, no.

I'm curious as to what people picture 'heaven' to be like. This world we are in now was so intricately created... I really can't imagine God doing anything less intricate with the new creation we will inherit.
My first completely serious response in this thread...

We have but one purpose in heaven -- to worship and glorify God forever.

Before Adam and Eve sinned, they had three purposes:
1. Worship and glorify God forever.
2. Multiple.
3. Subdue.

I'm not exactly sure how they spent their days, but they didn't work by the sweat of their brows, so it wasn't heavy-duty work. It seems they never got around to the multiply part until after they sinned. They spent a chunk of time walking with God and talking to him.

In heaven there's no hint of subduing or multiplying needed. That leaves just the third purpose.

It seems to me, even believers think heaven is their playground to do whatever they want. Nope. It's purpose driven by God. By then, I'm assuming we finally get our main purpose in being created.

Actually, I have never smoked pot. I don't inhale either. :)
Didn't think you did. Just tweaking you for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Only for medicinal purposes.
One of the things I'm really looking forward to is no longer needing medications, including for pain. No medicinal uses for plants needed ever again. Not even medicine for anything! Yippee!
