How do you know if your REALLY saved?

Im not sure if this is the right forum for this topic, if not, a mod can remove it. Basically I know that ti says if you confess and accepted christ is lord and ask for repentence that your saved. But does that mean your going to heaven?...jsut something iv been wondering lately. Im scared to die not knowing where im going. know what I mean? Iv been babatized years ago, I grew up in church and i kwow Jesus is God, iv cried many times asking God to forgive me but i keep making same sinful mistakes. Does being saved mean were never going to resort back to our old sinful ways? and if we do, does it mean were no longer saved? How does one know if were truly saved and going to heaven when we die?

Ask the Lord Jesus Christ where you are going when you die.

Read your bible and pray to Him. Only He can tell you.

p.s. It sounds to me like you absolutely are on the right track. Just having the anxiety and fear is a good first step in coming/re-uniting to Him.

When we repent of our sin, the Lord no longer has reason to discipline us—we are saved. That is what he wants us to do:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

Have you heard the phrase, "We are saved, we are being saved and we will be saved." ? Each is true. Compare this statement(which is not in the Bible) with this scripture.
1Th 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit,
soul,and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. nkjv

And the next verse assures us...

1Th 5:24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

This is how I see it. Your spirit is "saved"...that is where the Spirit of God lives...in your born again spirit.
Your soul is being "saved" or transformed(Rom 12:1-2) throughout your life here as you are taught by the Lord inwardly and through various life experiences He takes you through.
Your body will be "saved", in the resurrection...it shall be changed and be a new glorious body like unto his. But UNTIL then, you and all of us must learn to walk from our spirit centre, our inner man as Pail puts it. If we walk by the spirit we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Soas we learn this from God Himself...not a book...God is very patient with us and never condemns us, but takes us through into victory and understanding.
So I pray for you

Col 1:9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Col 1:10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Col 1:11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

It's a common struggle for true believers... Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these things are opposed one to the other, that ye should not do those things which ye desire;

The world doesn't experience this nor do those who think they have reached some sort of perfection.We know we are going to heaven because we have already passed from death into Life through LIFE HIMSELF.

thanks for advice everyone. but im sitll confused. if were babtized but yes continue to sin even after, does it mean we need to be babtized again?and what fi say for instance we were babtized too early? and we didnt fully understand the responsibility of what it mean to be babtized and live the perfect christian life? also like what if we keep sinning up until day we die? even if were babtized if we die liek say right after commiting the sin. are we still saved and go to heaven?

I don’t think most people understand what salvation is. There is no permanent salvation. That is, we will always be disciplined when we sin. But then, once we’ve been disciplined, we are forgiven. It is as simple as that.

God says it works like this: We are all sinners and that separates us from God.
In Isaiah 59: 1-2 God says sin separates us from God: Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

We have to repent from our sins, that means to turn away from them. We can’t say just forgive me today, I’ll need forgiveness for the same thing tomorrow. I means you repent.

Jesus told His hearers that without repentance, they would perish.
Luke 13:3 But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

That doesn’t mean we have to be perfect, now, or else.
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

It means we must sincerely try.

God is long suffering, God will forgive over and over.
Scripture gives only two things that can stop this from happening. If we show contempt for the Holy Spirit, or if we will not forgive so Christ cannot forgive us.

Matthew 12:31-32 "And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."

Matt 6:14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

God says we have eternal life through Christ:
1 John 5:11-13 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

When God says you have the son, that means you have forgiveness through the son, you accept that, and you then have eternal life.

Entrance to 'heaven' is a free gift from God, achievable solely by a soul's honest confession of the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ. There is nothing we can do short of or beyond that to 'get in'.

But, once in, what we do here and now determines what we have there. We will be judged once Jesus has gathered us and we will be given reward or punishment, according to our deeds.

Will we stop being human here and now, having confessed? Oh heck no. We will be as tempted or more than ever. And grit our teeth as much as we can we will still fall to it. And that's the question; do you fight and fall, or give in and swim? It's not so much the acts of sin as the state of heart that allows it.

Confession gets us in. Works determines reward.

Your question is all about 'you' and 'we'. That is the wrong place to be when it comes to salvation and the assurance of salvation. As long as we look at ourselves or others we are going to flop around like a fish out of water.
LOOK to Jesus to be saved.
LOOK to Jesus to be forgiven.
LOOK to Jesus to keep you from stumbling.
LOOK to Jesus to bring you into glory.
and if you fall...
LOOK to Jesus to pick you up.
When Peter LOOKED to Jesus he walked on water,
When he looked around at the storm...at his own inadequacies ...he sunk.

Vanillakay,by Resurrection Jesus Christ saved us from death and hell,but that salvation we must earn.Words of Christ where HE says "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." clearly says that even we recognize HIM as Lord and Savior,that wont grante us Salvation.
U must know that life of one Christian isnt easy at all,that is Ascetic life.Ascetic in spirit and deeds.That is constant battle of good and bad in us.Good and bad thoughts which is sugestions to us and on our free will is shall we accept it or denie.Desert fathers left us fantastic writtings about it.
Salvation is long process which ends by death and standing in front of Lord who will judge on u.On one side shall stand demons(those which sugest bad thoughts and will blame u if u had accept them in life) and on another side your guardian Angel and Angels who will deffend u(good thoughts).Only Lord will judge u and HE will say are u Saved or not.No one can gurante are u saved or not in this world.

Hope u will understand me.Even for Patriarch and Bishops we do prayers when they die,and ask mercy on their souls.

He knocks at the door and when you open it up, He comes in and fellowship with you. You will know because you will KNOW Him. He is real and when you get that REAL relationship, there will be no denying it.

I believe the process goes this way as the Bible says:
to be saved you have to believe the Lord Jesus Christ and you have to be baptized both by the spirit and water. As JESUS said in John 3:16 and John 3:5
Then after you become born again you have to grow in to the fullness of Jesus Christ as it says in….Ephesians 3:19
You know, according to my perspective and from what I seen in my life just make your focus on Jesus Christ and your life with in Him then believe me you will lose all values towards any sin, they will not be practical for you as you get closer and closer to Him.

Salvation is Eternal ! It a NEW BIRTH ! We know it When it takes place ! It just as Profound as our first birth from our Mothers ! We never forget that moment ! I was born -again in 1972 i remember like it just took place ! Many are Called But few choosen . Because few accept HIM as LORD of there lives !
Born -again is just what it SAYS ! He accept His Gospel as Truth ! And HIM from our Heart as LORD ! He must be LORD or He will not make us NEW !

Then we leave them ,they die and Return to the earth they came from !We Go to New Jerusalem !

Listen i died both ways !the first time i did everything the pastor said , but was not born again !Nor did not know what born again was ![a new birth ]
The last time i died i had been born again ! This time i went Right away to New Jerusalem ! I asked the LORD could i come back for my wife and childrens sake !He said Yes !

The first time i died i found my self [my spirit] in darkness full of fear like nothing on earth ! Dropping Slowly into the earth in Great fear crying and begging JESUS to give me another chance ! He did ! where i had been laying was very wet , and my body was shaking so bad i thought it would break apart ! I have never known such fear in all my life time !


The way i was saved [born -again ] I prayed i said God if your for real and Jesus Christ is real and the Bibles real ? Come and show me ! I do not want to read it in a book or see it on T.V. ! If you really died on the Cross for me ? You can reveal your self to me ! but if i am not just talking to the air ? I will fail ,But if you help me Up i will go again ! At that moment i was Born again ! I was So happy i wanted to tell the world and tried too !

It a free gift ! It for ever once we experiance it and it for all mankind 100% !


Water is our First Birth from our Mothers !

We only need one baptism it done by the HOLY GHOST !But i do believe if we can ? we should get both !

We follow our LORD 100% so if we CAN ? we should get water baptised too !
But we do not have to have it for Salvation !
