How do you know you are saved?

i'm just curious to see of what people actually think of how they are saved, i've been seeing alot of man made doctrines one person said you have to first do the 10 commandments in other to get saved... well i would like to hear how that is working out for you, how you may wonder how i know i'm saved? i had a near death experience and gave my life to god after that and he completely changed my life the old has passed away 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.[h=3]2 Corinthians 5:17 so how can i be save by law when we are save by grace? there is only one way someone can be save and that is by faith not by law when we have faith the rest will fall into place. i was in the world like most people of today partying, drinking smoking etc but god choose to save a sinner like me true grace 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8 now please explain to me how you have been redeemed by following a law or how your life has been miraculously changed by what god did when you had faith in him.[/h]

My mind changed. My direction changed. My goals changed. My desires changed. My conscience got extremely strict on me. I no longer talk to myself in my head, but God. Point is: there was noticeable change, both introspectively and externally. Still got a long way to go though.

On a side note, I noticed I can come to doubt my own salvation when I start backsliding. Word to the wise: always study, always pray, and always seek God. As soon as I give up on any one of these, things tend to degrade quickly, my mind being the first to go, and then external life struggles are much less tolerable and depression always follows. That recognition in and of itself is proof to me.

if human being's good behavior is what it takes to be saved, the whole human race is not gonna be saved, because there is no one perfect except but Jesus Christ.(Roman 3:10)
So then what is the solution...the solution is already given by God thru Jesus Christ: Not only were our sins taken away from us but Jesus' righteousness was imputed on us.
That makes us all saved.the faith of jesus christ saved us 2000 years back. see galatians 2:16, it says faith of Jesus Christ
2Corintians 5: 21- " For He has made him(Jesus) to be sin (offering) for us who knew no sin; that we might BE MADE the righteousness of God IN HIM".

Romans 5:1- "By the obedience of ONE(Jesus), shall the MANY(us) be made righteous"

There are alot of other verses as well in the bible. We are already saved through Jesus Christ, if not then watever Jesus suffered goes to vain. He did not come to the world to save a few, but all mankind.

But then there is a problem, this makes people think that there is nothing wrong in sinning because we are alreay saved.for that this is the answer
All who sin will not see the coming of Christ. They will not be a part of the kingdom of Christ. And they have to go thru purification (lake of fire) which is the most hard thing. then only they can enter the kingdom of God. and tey wont enjoy the blessing to see the coming of christ and be saints in the kingdom, but that does not mean they will not be saved. they will be saved later. THEN GOD WILL BE ALL IN ALL.

THE ONLY WAY TO BE CLOSE TO GOD IS TO PRAY AND SK GOD GUIDANCE. WE DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO ANYBODY BUT PRAY TO GOD, TELL HIM WE NEED THE TRUTH. GOD WILL GIVE HIS CHILDREN WHATEVER HE ASKS.

The result of salvation by God's grace is a transformed life, one that is yielded to Him in love and producing the fruit of the Spirit.
John 15:3-5
3. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Though we are justified by faith, works are outward manifestations of God's salvation in us as per James 2:17-18, "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works".

The Bible teaches this about a SAVED PERSON..

God's Spirit will witness with the spirit of the saved... how? One or more of the nine gifts will be very noticiable. 1 Cor 12.

God says His saved are BORN OF GOD... and they CANNOT sin... 1 John 3:9 1 John 5:18. There is no such thing as backslide.

God says the ones in Christ (the saved) are a NEW creature, and the OLD IS DEAD, GONE, PASSED... the NEw is ALL knew...
Not being changed... it IS CHANGED.... The NEw is not a modification of the old.... IT IS A NEW CREATURE.... the old is GONE TO NEVER RETURN...

The best verse in the Bible,..... God says he brings His children to the SAME FULNESS of Christ Jesus.. So if you are short of Christ, you are short of salvation. As simple as that... Eph 4:11 to 13....

God does not EVER say he will renew the stony heart, he says he will REMOVE it and REPLACE it with His OWN HEART AND SPIRIT.... that is how new the NEW CREATURE is... Even the flesh is RENEWED by that spirit to NOW WALK IN HIS STATUTES TO Jesus' fulness...

How do I know I am saved? Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead for our life and left us us the promise that those who believe in HIM shall never perish but have now eternal life.

this is so true.. i started to question my salvation when i would do something wrong this worried me for months

I worry a lot always concerned how best to please God. Does this make me less saved? I don't know. For instance at the moment I worry should I worship God on the Sabbath or on a Sunday or every and any day? Problem I have is I get caught up in circles of doubt and then freak out that God will punish me or reject me if I get it wrong.

this is a dangerous doctrine and will cause many baby Christians to stumble and even forsake their first love because they can't live up to it. this is the polar opposite of non-repentant doctrines where none are taught to work their faith. both are equally as dangerous.

or are you saying that although the flesh sins, the spirit is still pure? i.e. the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak? if i am misunderstanding your point, i apologize and please correct me if i am.
