Modest literally means "appropriate," so dress appropriately for the situation, not following some rigid standards. What is appropriate on a one body type won't work for another; and what is appropriate in one culture may offend elsewhere. As believers (men and women), we are to dress in a way that respects ourselves and honors God.
BTW, the verse used by the OP means ECONOMIC modesty. In other words, don't come to church showing off how much better off you are than the rest of us.

I agree this is a sensitive topic that needs addressed. I feel it is to teach us all not to conform to the world. I do not feel it in anyway that the scripture is to take the feminity away from us women. There is a way in every culture that a women, female are to dress. By showing respect for self as well as others. The world's way is dress in a way to cause a man to fall into lust. The Godly way is to dress causing one to admire respectfully. Now one can dress fashionably with the time and not be caught up in the world. With respect the best teacher shows by example. No need to bash when one can emulate and grow. Titus 2:3-5
I have come to know that when handling dress code of conduct with women. When you bring out their inner beauty there is no need to dress inappropriately. Be the example you want to see.

well I love my glasses too. Just for a side note: my husband LOVES my glasses too. To encourage you sweet single girls, They are a plus. Not a bad thing. Plus I can see the individual leaves on the trees......who knew there were actual leaves. Before my glasses I saw blots of green. Yeah, and those people let me drive. pffttt.

what i mean is that its ok to do it for your husband maybe(for acceptable to GOD purposes)GOD doesn't care about your outward looks, GOD is not looking at the outward appearances.

So just be sure you are doing it with the right motive.
I know men don't wear make-up but GOD is looking at the heart.

Historically it has been worn by both men and women. The Egyptians were
big on eye make up if the movies are anything to go by
Both men and women in the TV, film, stage industry wear it, not to mention
clowns.
Just a question, if a men's foundation came out to cover up razer burn and
tired eyes, would men wear it?
