good answer for sure, I'm thinking of the man the disciples rebuked for he wasn't with them, when he was driving out spirits in Jesus name and delivering the message of Christ

Matthias was a temporary fill in, yet Christians keep harping on Matthias while ignoring everything about Paul.
You have no evidence to claim Matthias was a fill in while harping on about Paul.

ZERO evidence.

really is acts 1:26 a lie?

And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

you had the 12 Apostles, and then you had all the other apostles. the 12 had the authority of Jesus, the others were messengers of Jesus but lesser than the 12.

Seems like conclusive evidence to me.

This is my list.

Matthew 10:2 The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

Acts 1:26 And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,

Heb 3:1 Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession,

I believe that is a total of 15.

Here's some basic facts about a apostle

An apostle is sent to deliver or spread those teachings to others. The word "apostle" has two meanings, the larger meaning of a messenger and the narrow meaning to denote the twelve people directly linked to Jesus Christ. We can say that all apostles were disciples but all disciples are not apostles.

I believe we can all agree that Scripture does not contradict itself. We know that the Lamb is the Lord Jesus Christ, and if the Bible says that the twelve foundations of the New Jerusalem correspond to the twelve apostles of the Lamb, then that should settle the issue. cThere cannot be 13, 14, or 15 apostles because that would also contradict Matthew 19:28:

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Jesus had already said that He had chosen 12 apostles and that one of them (Judas) was a devil. So the Son of Perdition was already excluded from the very beginning, and who but Paul would be the 12th? He was personally converted by Christ, and personally commissioned to be the apostle to the Gentiles.

All Christ's disciples could not be apostles, since the apostleship was a definite calling as well as a spiritual gift, and there were very specific criteria stated in the Bible for one to be an apostle. Paul qualified fully, and in almost every epistle he stresses the fact that he was called to be an apostle. Matthias was a temporary fill in, yet Christians keep harping on Matthias while ignoring everything about Paul.
All believers as a kingdom of priest are "sent out" ones (apostles). If they were not "called out" ones according to a definite calling as a spiritual gift.. How would they when commanded to go out of the world and make disciples of men/.Every beliver heard that calling and weny out of the gates, two by two.

The twelve apostles as persons have nothing to do with the men chosen. It is God who makes us differ from one another. The scriptures inform us not to puff up the Apostles above that which is written

The twelve were set aside for one purpose . Not a way to cause division among men who aready know what the word apostle means(sent ones) ..How beautifull are their feet not their mouths as if they were the living source of faith, God's word.

That is a very different question than "How many apostles of the Lamb are there"? as if Christ is divided There is as many as the father gave the Son. He sends them out two by two... defining the word apostle.(sent ones)

And if the Bible says that the twelve foundations of the New Jerusalem correspond to the twelve apostles of the Lamb, then that should settle the issue.
I think that which settles it is waht the purpose of the number twelve. According to the measure of God used to represent the walls a golden reed is used to measure as a metaphor His wife the church . Along with twelve tribes, tribes representing gates those are sent out with the gospel.... with the tribe of Dan missing to be used in the same way of Judas.

Together the walls and the gates as one unit speak of the bride of Christ. Its not about the persons personallities he used to show his will being done .Thier perosnallities usually show how they react.

Revelation 21 is one of the most beautful portions of scripture, I believe. The hidden Mana

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass Rev 21:21

I missed that one.

Act 14:14 The apostles Barnabas and Paul tore their robes when they heard this and rushed into the crowd, shouting:

That's a total of 16.

Let's look at this from another biblical angle.
“Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 5For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. 6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.9“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. 10And then many will fall away[SUP]a[/SUP] and betray one another and hate one another. 11And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

I believe the end hasn't come yet.
Since it hasn't, that means God would have sent more "sent ones" out into the world after John, the last of the 12, died.
Paul on his journeys was stopped from going certain places by the Holy Spirit, and if you read thru there's no one listed who actually did.
Apostles were still needed after the 12 died.
