You need not ask G-d to forgive things that He will not condemn :) G-d is far more merciful and loving than to condemn you for a lackadaisical approach to reading His Word. The Word is alive and it is in you, as a child of G-d :)

Should we read G-d's Word more? Absolutely! Will be be condemned for not doing so as much as we can? Absolutely not.

I think you are wrong, sunshine was saying this from a humble heart before a Holy Loving God, I am sure sunshine is well aware that she will be condemned for it. sunshine never said she would be condemned for it!!!

Ignoring God is an insult, we don't intentionally do it but we still do it.

I will still agree fully with sunshines post, it was from a humble and honest heart
. why did u have to try and pick at it?

Kind regards

Phil

i will be honest i havent been reading as much as i should. i try to read first thing in the morning and before i go to bed each night. I would like to find more time in the middle of the day to do this as well. I also agree that the Word is the most powerful thing we have to fight the enemy. God bless all

I apologize, apparently I didn't make my intent clear...I was not trying to pick at her post, but at the end she was asking G-d to forgive her. To me, it sounded like she was worrying that G-d WOULD be cross with her for not reading His Word, and I was trying to help her alleviate that worry by telling her that G-d would not condemn her for it.

My intent was to help and uplift, not pick and tear down. I apologize if it came across as the latter, as that was not my intention.

lil warrior, try to set a time say maybe wake up a half hour early or before you go to bed, and set your alarm for that time. Then make it a habit that when you hear that alarm you know it's time to read. God's word is important and you need it in order to fight the enemy. He knows this and he is trying to take it from you. Pray and ask God to help you. He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. God speed and ill be praying with you

Well we must pray and FEED on the word of God and John 8:31 says If Ye Continue in my Word, then are ye my disciples indeed:

and Jesus says in the bible, could you not spend one hour in prayer with Him, i took that as just spending at least an hour with Him, in prayer, in His Word in my walk. That's just the least in itself, how much better to spend more.

If we feed our mind daily with the Living Word it strengthens the inner man, the Spirit of God grows in us, if we feed on the things of this world we feed the flesh and its desires and the Spirit of God in us battles to grow being at constant war with the flesh as it always is. Feed the Spirit, the fruits of the Spirit ripen quicker

I read it every day. I love trying to pronounce those old names. It is as if I'm connecting to the biblical past. I also feel so much better after reading from the bible.

I read it as often as I can throughout the day. I pick it up in the morning after my shower and I carry it to work with me and read it often through the course of my work day. Then at home I read it here and there then when I go to bed I take it in with me and read until I'm too tired to read anymore. It makes me feel safe and comforted.

I don't really have a set time to read Scripture (which I probably should)...I kind of read on and off, but always read every day, at the very least 10 minutes. (and I take them to school to, so I read them in-between classes and in study hall and on the bus and before school and when no one's looking and and and :) )

I help teach a discipleship program in Oregon. We read scripture for 3 hours and break it down to get an understanding.

I just wanted to be the first to post in the forum=) So how often?
THE REAL QUESTION IS HOW WELL DO YOU READ YOUR BIBLE. NOT MERELY HOW OFTEN. HOW WELL DO YOU UNDERSTAND AND LIVE BY YOUR BIBLE? HOW WELL DO YOU KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD? HOW WELL DO YOU FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER CHRISTIANS. MANY OF US ARE QUITE SINFUL. I KNOW I AM SINFUL. THE REAL QUESTION IS HOW WELL WE UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE. IT IS NOT EASY TO UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE, AND IT IS NOT EASY TO BE A CHRISTIAN. IN THIS LIFE WE ARE ALL STILL IMPERFECT. IF WE SAY WE HAVE NO SIN, WE ARE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH.

They say " Sports develops confidence". Maybe. But in my own experience, I had a poor self-esteem. But by the time I start spending most of my time reading an english bible, my english improved, I begin to see and understand the different sides of life and how to best deal with them--and I gain confidence on myself too. There's something magical about reading the bible. The best book in the world!
