You live in sin, Ralph.
Then you live in sin too.

So, answer the question:

Since me and you, according to you, are living in sin (because you say any and all sinning is 'living in' sin), are we not going to inherit the kingdom because we 'live like this', or are we going to inherit the kingdom despite 'living like this' because grace is our license to 'live like this' and still inherit the kingdom?

"19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."-Galatians 5:19-21

Which is it, budman?

You presented no example of any once upon a time faith pleases God.
And what? You don’t know God requires faithfulness?
How many do you want? John 3: 16? John 4 (the woman at the well) John 6? (Whoever believes and takes the food which endures forever will never hunger, never thirst, Live forever. never die, and has in their posession eternallife and they will be raised on the last day? Oh and they will never be lost..

Is this enough or do you need more?

He that shall endure unto the end shall be saved.
That was spoken BYU Jesus to the disciples about the great tribulation period. Which will be so severe, that if Jesus himself did not return, no flesh would survive, Be he will come for the elect sake, He who endures to the end (of this time period) shall be saved (have the physical life saved) and enter the final period which jesus.

Eternal life is not in context there.

Do you teach that faith to abide in Christ is required?
To produce fruit yes.To keep yourself saved. No. God said he will hold us and he will never let go.

Do you teach that you must continue in the words of Jesus, to be his disciple, know the truth and then the truth shall set you free?
Yes but we are talking about eternal life here, and being adopted as Gods children, Not of our continued life of being sanctified

If you want to talk about sanctification. Open another thread.

Do you teach that you must pick up your cross daily? or do you teach one time only?
If we want to have victory, Want to be productive children of God, want to produce a lot of fruit. Want to grow in grace and knowledge, we need to do it daily.

But again, that is talking about sanctification, this thread is about justification and eternal life and how we get it. Not what we do after we are saved, if you want to discuss that, open another thread.

The falling away is the falling of people away from the faith they once held.
OSAS is a false doctrine that teaches security in Christ for them that once believed.
The defense of OSAS is merely philosophical mumbo-jumbo in case you never noticed.
I see your just as arrogant here as you are in your end times threads. What a pity. Oh well. From the way you talk, I doubt you have experienced Gods love so I understand why you fail to be able to give it out.

I take jesus at his word. Many will on that day praise all their good works, their fruit production, ands their mighty deeds in his name.

How response? Depart from me, I NEVER KNEW YOU.

A child of God can not fall away, Impostors who have no real faith, thus are not really saved do fall away, because thier root is not Christ.

As scripture says, if our foundation is in christ, the building will never fall. Because he is what keeps it together

By one sacrifice he has PERFECTED FOREVER those who are in the process of BEING SANCTIFIED.

Thats OSAS. Now do us a favor. Repent, or take your legalistic modern day pharisee jumbo jumbo and go someplace else. (Yes, I can be just as rude to you as you are others. I can be all things to all people. )

You cannot unscramble an egg, or put it back in its shell.

People in AA have variations of this saying, also.

Once you are pickled, you cannot go back to being a cucumber :D

Unscramble an egg? Sure you can put it back in a shell!

Just feed the scrambled egg to a chicken!

Yet those who stopped believing were never saved.

John overrules your earning your salvation by your power to keep believing. You want to argue, argue with him, oh wait, will have to get to heaven to do that.

Nicodemus asked the same thing, What was jesus answer. For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whoever has faith in him, will NEVER DIE, but HAS Eternal life.

Once it is in your possession, through faith, it is yours.... forever. Nothing can take it away. Else the words “never” and “forever” mean nothing, and NO ONE has any hope.

Once you're saved, you cannot become un-saved....
So easy to say, yet so impossible to prove.

26For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
Spreading heresy does that

27but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THEFURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES.
Adversaries are those that go on sinning willfully.
28Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on
the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.” 31It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
So how does one trample underfoot the Son of God? By ignoring His word that is forever unchanging by adding eisegesis, or refuse His word altogether.

Making God's word fit your beliefs instead of the other way around.

Your post above does this.

That is not putting it back in ITS shell ;)

Nor can you even say with any assurance that feeding a scrambled egg to some chicken will end up with the digested egg being formed again into another egg. In fact, most females are born with all the ova they will ever have :) But you were joking, right?

In Hebrews 10:26, To "sin willfully" in the Greek carries the idea of deliberate intention that is habitual, which stems from rejecting Christ deliberately. This is CONTINUOUS ACTION - A MATTER OF PRACTICE. Now we don't walk along our daily life and "accidentally" fall into a pit called sin. We exercise our will but, the use of the participle clearly shows a CONTINUOUS ACTION.

*The unrighteous practice sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21); not the righteous, who are born of God (1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 John 3:9).
Is this to reject Jesus as the Son of God who died and rose again for the forgiveness of sins, or is it a failure to overcome a sin habit like alcohol or anger or gossip?

The person who lives in sin will not be saved when Jesus comes back. Doesn't matter if they were never saved to begin with, or if they stopped believing. They will be lost when Jesus comes back. That's the truth that we need to focus on. Once saved always saved is a demonic distraction from that profound yet simple truth.
And they sin is?

...and so that must happen for everybody with no exceptions.

I hope that's not what you're saying.
No, I'm just saying He is a magnificent Father who loves us greatly beyond what we can imagine.

The profound yet simple TRUTH we need focus on is that Jesus saves to the uttermost those who place their faith in His shed righteous blood as a covering for their sin, reconciling us to God, and assuring us of life ever after in the kingdom to come, following the resurrection and judgment of all at the end of this age. Our hope is in the life to come, through His resurrection to new life.

You're missing the point.

What is salvation? Jesus saves "whosoever will believe" from our sinful nature to his supernature. He does demand perfection, but since we lost that before we could even form sentences, he is that perfection that died in whosoever's place. Because of that, our nature is changed. If our nature doesn't change? Then we, (as of yet), are not saved.

He sincerely, honesty, mercifully, lovingly, wonderfully, disciplinarianly (is too a word, Spell Checker, I just made it up), thoroughly sanctifies his chosen to glorification.

Already said, I'm not much on the OSAS thingy. What is worse is the assumption we must be perfect/sinless once saved. That's not merely a distraction. That's as horrible a lie as WoF!

He does change us. That part of us truly groans to be perfect, but because we want to be like him for him. And, we groan because we're not, because we're still stuck in this imperfect, annoyingly-self-centered human-nature flesh too.

Romans 7:21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
