I think I can tell, but like just about everything else in this life, I could be wrong. I have been in many Christian forums over the years and I find certain folks that I am sure really know the Lord, and I find others who think they know the Lord and I am sure they do not. Hey, if I find out later that some of those who I thought were not really saved, were in fact saved, I will not be sad but happy, I hope everyone makes it.

No no, I'm not talking about sinning or lying, but rejecting truth and replacing it with a lie within your heart.
When one is born again, where does Jesus and the Holy Spirit reside?
In one's heart, right?
And where does the word of God reside?
Also in the heart. It has to, because the word of God IS the Holy Ghost.
So if someone has a bad experience with say, WOF because of ignorance, or because they thought they believed but really didn't, they might be tempted to create a reason, through natural human reasoning, for their failure, by changing the meaning of the text to fit their experience. Rather than owning up to the fact that they were the ones who were at fault, because God NEVER EVER fails to do what He promised to do.
And because they want to believe that God is a compassionate and loving God, which He is, they concoct or fabricate a reasoning, like a pacifier, to succor themselves or other from the pain of the failure.
And in so doing have rejected the truth of God's word and replaced it with a lie within their heart.
After decades of perverting God's word, where do you think these people will be in Christ?
Jesus said, if your eye, hand, or foot offend you pluck it our or cut it off.
It just stands to reason that if the body part continues to offend Jesus, that Jesus will cut away that part of His body, as He told us to do.
They broadened the path to fit their shortcomings

If you're going to use individual words to support a position, it's worth checking those words in other translations, or in the Greek. In this case, the words for 'man' (anthropos, aner) are not used here. It's a neuter noun; "anyone" is a better translation, it appears. I'll leave it to the Greek experts to confirm or correct me on this.
Joh 3:5 Jesus G2424 answered, G611 Verily, G281 verily, G281 I say G3004 unto thee, G4671 Except G3362 a man G5100 be born G1080 of G1537 water G5204 and G2532 of the Spirit, G4151 he cannot G1410 G3756 enter G1525 into G1519 the G3588 kingdom G932 of God. G2316

τίς

An enclitic indefinite pronoun; some or any person or object: - a (kind of), any (man, thing, thing at all), certain (thing), divers, he (every) man, one (X thing), ought, + partly, some (man, -body, -thing, -what), (+ that no-) thing, what (-soever), X wherewith, whom [-soever], whose ([-soever]).

Over the years, I have told my story many times, how God spoke to me about this verse concerning children going to heaven.
The short of it is, a man of God went to heaven and told what he saw, which were many children, then he said, aborted babies go to heaven, and I said within myself that the man lied, because the bible says, except a person be born again, they cannot go to heaven. That was my understanding back then.
At that moment I heard a screaming voice yelling at me, then a stern voice after that was over said, "My word says, 'Except a MAN be born again,...", and stressed the word, man to me. Then He said, "Babies are not men!" That is a direct quote.

Would anyone know that the following men were saved child of God at the particular moment when...

a. David took Bathsheba and had Uriah murdered
b. Peter denied the Lord three times while using descriptive, vulgar language
c. The Corinthian brother was taking his dad's wife
d. Noah lay in a drunken stupor
e. Moses in anger disobeyed the Lord and struck the rock twice instead of speaking to it
f. Aaron lied about his part in the golden calf
g. Lot slept with his daughters while drunk
h. Abraham and Sarah attempted to help God resulting in Ishmael while lacking faith

There is not a JUST man upon the earth that DOES GOOD AND SINS NOT! ZERO!
What I have been talking about is not so much about sin, but about a person's ability or inability to receive and keep the truth of God's word in their heart, because we are born again by the word of God.
What I have been asking is, since it is the word of God that saves us, which is truth, and if we later in our walk, turn from the truth, or fail to keep it due to overwhelming testimonies of others and/or personal experiences that contradict that which is written, how can that person continue in Christ, seeing they have offended Him repeatedly?
And the other one is, those who believe they are saved, even teach the word of God to others, yet are not saved. They will pervert the word of God or the truth of the gospel, as well. They hate the truth and have to add or twist some lie in with the truth. And they hate the truth of God's word and those who teach it.
I believe they are one of the kind of wolves in sheep's clothing like the Pharisees were. They acted holy and righteous, blending in with the church crowd, but inwardly were wicked.
The other one being someone who knowingly tries to deceive others.

We all sin, all our life. That's that. Past, present and future, we all have, are, and will sin.
We can't stop it. We just have to rely on the Holy Spirit to help us avoid sin.

As long as we accept Christ and His gift of salvation and let Him control our lives, then we are saved. :)

Christ forgives us again and again and again even if we offend Him again and again and again. :)
He gives us time to repent and ask for forgiveness.
It is not for us to judge though, it is up to God to do the judging. So yeah. :)

Everyone knows that those that are for God are those that agree with what "I and my group" believes about some subject in the scriptures. If you have a different view - that can't be of God.

C'mon you bunch of heretics - get with the program!...;)

the fact, your still looking at sin, show there will be no spiritual growth.

Galatians 5: Christ Has Set Us Free
1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
2 Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you.3 I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law.4 You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace

all you will get is rants about person A or person B falling short. yet have not a care in the world about posting rants about religions or sects being wrong in some part. etc

4 Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye?5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

By the fruits, but just like the bag of oranges or apples in grocery, the fruit looks good. Then it gets home and we bite into it, good fruit sweet and juicy. Then next day grab another orange thinking its going to be just as good as day before, and yuck, dry, bitter, out of the same bag.
Sometimes looks nice and fresh on outside, but the inside is dry and bitter. Some times people of God can be fooled for a moment, moment can be days or weeks, but its still a moment compared to eternity. Then God turns the Light on for us, and we can see if they walk the walk that they talk.

because there are not enough judge mental people in church now. the mindset of those who want to prove their personal holiness by examining everybody else, breathe a sigh of relief that they are not so sinful and thank God they are so enlightened

people love to take scriptures to prove their own hobby horses but this horse is lame. shoot it

FAITH comes by HEARING and HEARING by the WORD OF GOD.....

it is faith into the message that saves......

HE that believes on the SON is having everlasting life

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE

Abraham BELIEVED GOD and it was put to his account for righteousness.

Those who manipulate scripture love to call those who refuse to manipulate scripture, judgmental, and Pharisees. It might make them feel better, but no one can fool God. Scripture teaches us that we should strive to be in the truth of the word of God at all times, there is nothing good about rejecting what God has given us to accept.

I think you're missing one fact, and that is that we are born again, BY, THROUGH, AND BECAUSE OF THE WORD OF GOD.
Without the word of God abiding in our hearts, there is no continued salvation. For the life of the body is in the blood, which is the seed of the Holy Ghost, whereby we are sealed.

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Eph 1:14 Which is [that is, the word of truth is] the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Again, Jesus said in Jn 6:53 and 56, "except ye eat My flesh and drink my blood, ye have NO LIFE IN YOU", but those who did eat and drink Jesus' flesh and blood respectively, dwell in Him and He in them.
How do we eat Jesus' flesh?
By coming to Him with your heart. For He said, "He that cometh to me shall never hunger, ..."
And how do we drink His blood"
By believing ON and IN Him with your heart, that He will do what He said in His word, or that which is written. For it is written, "... he that believeth on Me shall never thirst."
Because Jesus also said, Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
Without going into a bunch of scripture, Jesus' blood is both the Holy Ghost or the Word of God.
And also it is written that Jesus is both the truth and the WORD of God.
And because John said in 1Jn 2:24 that if the truth remains in you, then you will abide in Christ. Which also means that if you don't keep the truth of His word in your heart, then neither will you abide in Him.
This is not about sinning. It's about rejecting truths from His word.

1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Look at how rejecting the fact that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, causes His word to leave our hearts.
Again, we are born again by that same said word of God, so if we reject parts of truths of His word, we reject Him and His blood. And without that, we have no life abiding in us.
That is why I have been centering on those who fail to KEEP the truth of God's word in their hearts, and those who HATE and/or cannot both see or receive the truth of His word.
This would not apply to those who are babes in Christ.
As for the rest who cannot receive simple truths of the gospel, such as corresponding works of faith and WOF, are none of His.
In this, Jesus said you shall know them by their fruits (plural).

Matthew 7: Judging Others
The irony of your post is the fact that I am the only one who is not looking at people's sins, you are, and all the others who have written the same.
What I have been doing continually is writing about those who fail to keep or simply reject the truths of God's word.
I'm not trying to be mean, but what does it take for you people to see and understand what I'm writing?
I don't know how to make this any simpler for you and everyone else who has failed to understand my simple and plain English. Is it because this too is the truth, and you can't see or receive it as well?

Matthew 7 is my favorite. You will hear the hypocrites say "Well yes I do this, but I'd never do THAT"!! busy pointing fingers at one another. The closer you get to God the LESS you will glorify yourself , and the busier you will be keeping your own self from being a greater sinner, with NO time left to judge or correct the actions of others.

Scripture teaches us that we should strive to be in the truth of the word of God at all times, there is nothing good about rejecting what God has given us to accept.
If that is directed at me, then test me with scripture.
I do my best to know and understand the truths of God's word, and be it far from me to pervert or twist His word for a preferred doctrine. There are some things I don't like, but still believe, because of what I see in the word of God.
Yes, I have been proven wrong a few times, but when I see where I have gone wrong, I repent, and make the correction.
Who else can say, or is willing to do, that?
I hold to what I believe, BECAUSE OF what I see in the word of God.
We all see according to the spirit that is in us.
To those who are in Christ, have seeds/offspring of His Spirit in them and those who are not of God or who have seeds of the devil in them will not be able to see, understand, or receive truth, because the spirit that is in them will reject it, as they cannot receive truth.

Hi Know1, My post was not directed at you or anyone in particular. I see a problem in many posts in that the idea is promoted that just about anyone who presents a truth from the scriptures, even an incredibly obvious truth from the scriptures, to attack the person as if they are a Pharisee, and insinuate that the truth is not true but the imagination of the person. This whole thing is made in order to cover up obvious manipulation of scriptural truth by the party making the accusations.

Thank you sir for making the intent of your post known.
Though I wasn't sure if it was directed at me or not, I took no personal offense.
I am quite use to being criticized, put down, belittled, and the like. Everyone attacks the messenger. Of course, I have done the same, manly because I have a hard time dealing with the fact that many cannot even see, much less understand, what I've been saying. It's not rocket science that makes it too difficult to understand, but before anyone can understand, they must first be able to see. And I dare say that very few have been able to do so.
Works of faith is such a simple doctrine to understand, but I can't get anyone who doesn't already know about it, to even see the thing. At the same time I know that it is spiritually discerned, which requires the right spirit to give that discernment.
Agreed. What you say, I have seen many times in many people myself.
Most people have their pet doctrines and they are not about to give them up regardless of what others prove with scripture.
Thank you for your kind post.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. James 5:7
