Hate to remind you, but it only gets worse from here. Wait 'til they come for your pastor because he refuses to perform an SSM ceremony. Wait 'til they come for you when you refuse to stop witnessing, won't stop worshiping, or won't give up your Bible.
No need to remind me Brother, I have been preaching this for 20 years and being called a fool for it.
I said in 2008 that we would be electing our last president regardless who he was and I still believe that.
This great nation that I have always loved has become very evil in my lifetime, and many good and Godly people are going to suffer as God's judgment comes.
If you have loved ones or friends or neighbors that do not know Jesus, you do not have a second to waste. GO TO THEM NOW!

I only said that the church will never marry same-sex couples as a positive for the church. That's when the bashing began. You want me to leave? I will
Honestly? I don't think this pope will change that. I don't think anything will change on that one for a few hundred years, but I see him bringing the topic of homosexuals joining the church to the table. I suspect that won't happen until the church gives up celibate priests. (That one I wish would happen, but that's not one of those things that breaks fellowship. I do get why they believe what they believe. I merely disagree and that's all it is -- me and merely. No big deal.)

And, no, I don't want you to leave.

Granted, we really do have some Catholic bashers, but I'm not one, nor are all on here. (I know. You might think I am, but, again, I warned you. I don't hate Catholics but I will be honest.)

You're going to have to either put up with the bashers or ignore them. (Ignore -- a lovely feature. lol) I've got a few bashers on my butt too, so I ignore. BUT, might I gently suggest you look closer? Just because we disagree doesn't mean we hate.

Look up the word "disagree." I suspect the word "hate" isn't even close to in the definition. You really have to stop assuming everyone hates Catholics. That's like assuming everyone has green eyes too. It's true sometimes, but not usually.

If I thought everyone on here hated me simply because I don't believe in End Times theology, I'd be gone long ago. Most disagree with me. I suspect those who do would like to change that about me, but that's entirely different than hating me. Kind of the same position you have but on a different subject.

They wrote that the right to marriage is an inherent aspect of individual autonomy, since "decisions about marriage are among the most intimate that an individual can make."

"marriage is an inherent aspect of individual autonomy"

BASED ON WHAT???
A Humanist Manifesto? OR God's Word?
If that's the new law of the land, does that mean 6 year olds have the "inherent aspect of individual autonomy" to marry too? (What does that even mean?)

Welcome to the death knell of the nation......The embracement of this is the last straw and the one that breaks the proverbial camel's back......it is the final step before judgment.....Romans, Jude, Peter, The Law all make it clear......4 of the 5 cities of the plain burnt to the ground.........God will not let it stand.....were done....! It is coming.....!

Who wrote? Looks like you are an Obama lover.
I'm still rethinking you. Really? Christianity and fellowship has just been reduced to American politician parties?

Same blasted thing that drives me nuts about the left -- the assumption them-thare Christians iz the Republicans.

Hard to believe but this isn't the political forum, ad if you go there I suspect you'll find a few Democrats. You might even find a few Tories, which might surprise you since not everyone in an international site even knows what the American parties are.

You do not even belong on here, very unchristian. If you want to battle find another forum, there are a lot more Christians on this forum than you. Go pray and ask God to forgive your mouth.
By now, the only reason I don't report you is because you've been plucking on my nerves since page two, and you already plucked before I showed up. To avoid regretting blasting you at a later time, this is when I leave this thread and hope it dies to page 212.

I fear you are correct brother but 2 Chronicles 7:14 is still in effect:[SUP]14 [/SUP]if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Having said that.....

We MUST prepare our hearts and minds for the true persecution this ruling will usher in for Christians. We have to think of Paul and co. singing in their jail cells at the knowledge that they were priveledged enough to suffer for the Gospel.
I pray you're right, Brother. And while pondering your post, a thought came to me. The Left hates Christianity and right now they're giving us the one finger blessing with radiant smiles. Do you suppose as these folks begin to marry in the Church, they will come to love the Church, and infinitely more important, they will come to love Christ?

Well, thank you! I tried to put the Church in a positive light. Some people just don't care about hearing the good the church does. Take abortion for example, the church is very much pro-life. But that is another thread

I'm afraid they have sold their souls to Satan just like those in S&G.
Very, very sad.

Flee from sexual immorality.
All other sins a person commits are outside the body,
but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.

(1 Corinthians 6:18)

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity
for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

(Romans 1:24)

In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
(Romans 1:27)

i am not harmed by what is not outside the body of the world, and was never under the impression that secular society was anything but wicked.

Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong;
let the vile person continue to be vile;
let the one who does right continue to do right;
and let the holy person continue to be holy.

(Revelation 22:11)

i will rejoice as the time draws nearer!
what, was anyone under the wrong impression that America was the church of God? i cherish her as a place to pitch my tent, but she is not my home. she is a secular kingdom of the wicked world and was never anything else. i won't fret because the wicked have some comfort in their short days, or that God in His mercy allows them to prosper for their season. i will love my enemy and look over insults.
i have been forgiven of much -- what am i if i do not forgive one whose sin is not even against me?

we should be glad that our brothers and sisters who confused patriotism for Christianity are having their eyes opened, though some will instead remain blind, and harbor malice in their hearts towards the rulers that God has established over this land, being consumed with worldly politics instead of the gospel.

The are many other practices that the Supreme Court did not rule on that people have no problem with or opinions about that also are not approved by God!
The Bible is issues a clear explicit warning at 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10, we read the warning: “What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom.” God’s word is very even-handed and impartial in the matter of condemning practices that God disapproves of. Throughout mankind’s history powerful governments have often shown disregard the God of the Bible !! History is still repeating itself!! And God will continue to repeat “HIMSELF”!!!

The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled today that same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states. With all due respect to the court, it did not define marriage, and therefore is not entitled to re-define it.
Long before our government came into existence, marriage was created by the One who created man and woman—Almighty God—and His decisions are not subject to review or revision by any manmade court. God is clear about the definition of marriage in His Holy Word: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24).
I pray God will spare America from His judgment, though, by our actions as a nation, we give Him less and less reason to do so.
'As it is written' according to words of 'spirit' and 'life' of JESUS for us in the New Covenant/Testament, we are 'called' to 'practice' and 'abide' and 'bear much fruit', that;

"FATHER forgive them, for they knew not what they do."

"Grace has been shown onto you, therefore show Grace to others."

Who is the 'true' criminal, the one who have found and know and tasted Grace and Truth until today, in order to 'preach' the Gospel to the 'lost', or the one who are still 'ignorant' and 'lost'?

GOD bless all in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST.

The INjustices on the SCOUTUS made same sex marriage legal though Obama will try and take credit for it. The do nothing RINO Republicans CAN do something about Obamacare (defund it) but are afraid to because winning the next election is more important and they do not want to be blame for shutting the gov't down. What is amazing is those that call themselves "Christian" yet will openly support Obama and his immoral agenda.....what a joke. But the ungodly and wicked will have many, many TEMPORARY victories in this life, but the only victory that matters and the victory that will last is the one in the next life

Statistics show a majority of US Catholic voters consistently have voted for pro-abortion, pro-same sex marriage candidates so Catholicism is a big reason, if not the main reason, this country is going down the moral toilet........(one does not have to actually participate in the sin itself, supporting the sin is just as wrong as actually participating in it.........not bashing, just stating the facts......unless stating facts is considered bashing then I would be bashing.)

not agreeing or disagreeing, but is there factual information to support the claim, i would be interested in reading up on this if you have a link or reference to give me....

And I guess no one asked the question in Court, "Where did marriage come from?".

Yes, but marriage goes to the heart and soul of any nation, it's the very foundation and the first thing God instituted after forming Eve.
