God told me to tell you he did not tell you to write that

check the Old Testament

stop putting words in His mouth He didn't say

speaking of false prophets, you are one if you want to try and state I don't know the scriptures

I do know them, which is why I will now put you on ignore

that ignore list is growing. so many hostile people.

this place has some real nuts and bolts in it

maybe just nuts LOL! I just quit another thread where someone has been trying to tell us how special they are for 9 pages because they receive special revelations about God from God and he thinks he might be outside the realm of what the rest of us have experienced

he's right of course but not in the way he thinks

he's on ignore too

is it any stranger for me to say God has a word for you? I don't think so. Everyone else seems to think they have a word from Him

hark!

is that rerun outer limits music I hear?
When did He tell you this?....God only speaks on behalf of truth, thus you are hearing from another spirit of superstition, ministers of dark light perhaps? Its no great wonder Satan send ministers of supposed light like Joseph Prince to merchandize and beguile the flock, (angels of dark light) Jesus asked; "if that light the in you is darkness, just how great is that darkness" (deception)................dark light masquerading as truth?

again, with feigned words do they merchandise you, promising others liberty while they themselves are servants , corruption, beguiling unstable souls, (brute beasts) said Peter...................In the last days of his ministry Paul warned for 3 years that grievous wolves would enter the flock, so did Peter, so did Jude. The Greek Gnostics and the rhetoric of Paltoism was already coming in towards the end of the 1st century. John preached against them.. Today the transgressors have come to the full, the bottomless pit of mans imaginations is fully open and the locusts swarm over the land eating up every green thing (spiritual life)...When one is under the strong delusion they don't even know they are being deceived.

What on earth is Paltoism?

The only reference on Google is to this post. I think you need to slow down a bit, and think, and also make sure what you are writing makes sense.

I am willing to learn, so what on earth is this
Paltoism?

maybe Plato - ism
with a couple letters transposed . . ?

Well, maybe Platonism, and you are probably right about juxtaposing letters. Fast typing does that to me, but my spell check usually corrects it.

"Platonism has had some influence on Christianity through Clement of Alexandria and Origen,[SUP][6][/SUP] and the Cappadocian Fathers.[SUP][8][/SUP] St. Augustine was heavily influenced by Platonism as well, which he encountered through the Latin translations of Marius Victorinus of the works of Porphyry and/or Plotinus.[SUP][6][/SUP]Platonism was considered authoritative in the Middle Ages.[SUP][6][/SUP] Platonism also influenced both Eastern and Western mysticism.[SUP][6][/SUP][SUP][9][/SUP] Meanwhile, Platonism influenced various philosophers.[SUP][6][/SUP] While Aristotle became more influential than Plato in the 13th century, St. Thomas Aquinas's philosophy was still in certain respects fundamentally Platonic.[SUP][6][/SUP]
With the Renaissance, scholars became more interested in Plato himself.[SUP][6][/SUP] In 16th, 17th century, and 19th century England, Plato's ideas influenced many religious thinkers.[SUP][6][/SUP] Orthodox Protestantism in continental Europe, however, distrusts natural reason and has often been critical of Platonism.[SUP][6][/SUP] An issue in the reception of Plato in early modern Europe was how to deal with the same-sex elements of his corpus. [SUP][10][/SUP]
Christoplatonism is a term used to refer to a dualism opined by Plato, which influenced some church, which holds spirit is good but matter is evil.[SUP][11][/SUP] Though the Bible's teaching directly contradicts this philosophy and thus receives constant criticism from many teachers in the Christian Church today. According to the Methodist Church, Christoplatonism directly "contradicts the Biblical record of God calling everything He created good."[SUP]"

I find the worst people on the planet are sinners.
I find the best people on the planet are those who desire to walk in love.

And the best exponent of love is Jesus.

The most difficult emotion to deal with is hatred and bitterness.
It can go from generation to generation and destroy peoples lives.

If you stir it up in a community it can create such evil, which while they are commiting
the most heinous crimes they think they are doing good.

It is why the effect of your actions on others can often determine what your intention
really is. It is always easier to justify how we feel than actually step back and work
out what is going on.

in reply to JP, Jesus primary message was to the Jewish people who had been given the law through Moses, however to make the bold statement that the new covenant only begins after the cross leaves the distinct impression that ALL those things Jesus taught should not mean all that much to a Christian...because most of what Jesus taught was before the cross. I have found that many teachers in that persuasion will be teaching truth, then suddenly slip in something that is clearly false, and then continue to teach truth. Unless you are watching carefully it is easy to miss what they are doing.

This is the faulty foundation from which all the other deceptions are built upon....Man was made upright in Gods Image,,Sin is not a malady lurking in the flesh, it has no atomic weight, it is a freewill action of rebellion in the heart, and a crime against God, not the missing the mark mumbo jumbo. Again a CRIME against God.......God had Ezekiel write a whole chapter on this subject as they proclaimed God is not fair, we were born this way. And said this will no longer be a proverb among you....For the son does not inherit the sin of the father, but rather its the soul that sennith it shall die........sin is given birth when lust is conceived in the heart, said the apostle James..
What I believe you misunderstand is that the blood of Jesus does more than just cleanse men from sin actions. He breaks the bond of iniquity by purging.

How else can one be a new genesis...new creation man?

Indeed, all of us once behaved like them in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of our flesh and senses. By nature we were destined for wrath, just like everyone else.

Nature of sin.

well sure He told me to say that to you

exacty the same as the portions you posted

right? I mean it must have been God if you posted scripture and in the old testament, God says through His prophets that He gets pretty riled up when people misrepresent Him

and since you would never do that, you have no right to judge before God and He is pretty plain about judging hearts in the Bible as well

so, anyone can quote scripture and even sound all indignant about it.

if you are going to hurl the words of old testament prophets at us, then you can live by them also

enjoy and don't trip over those commandments

I am wondering if some people prefer to stay logged down under condemnation by refusing to be set free and in that misery, they just need to condemn everyone else

I cannot see any other reason that someone would throw out prophecies to Israel from the old testament and try to apply them to believers in Christ

ALL scripture is beneficial but is it not ours to use any way we want and most certainly not ours to use as huge rocks to toss at others while sitting on a pile of self-righteousness

People need to be extra careful when they say God told them to tell someone else something... Because if it was not actually God then they are just as bad as any false prophet.

And what is all this arguing good for anyhow...This all seems really silly to me. People on here complaining about other Christians arguing and what not yet they are doing just as much talking about other people and arguing as the next person.

that is exactly the point I was making

the other point, is tossing out old testament scriptures from the prophets and applying them to Christians to blast them from a position of self righteousness

right

and now you have done the same

a merry-go-round

what you call arguing is both defensiveness when a person gets a thread destroyed and the actual people destroying said thread who argue incessantly about things no one even said

I have also found that just asking questions to some people will result in you being attacked

so, proceed with caution as they say

No, I don't see where I have done the same thing. I just pointed out how some people are quick to cry about how someone else is treating them and not even see how they are treating others. They don't see their own involvement in an argument.

What I don't get is all these hurt feelings people have when someone doesn't agree with them...and if they are questioned, they automatically assume they are being attacked. It just all seems really silly to me. Seems like some people are more concerned with how men see them and not God.

At the end of the day, I'm not concerned with how anyone else views me. I am only concerned with how God sees me. His judgement is the only judgement that is going to matter. I take everything else with a grain of salt.

And thanks for the warning, but as I said I am not too concerned with how other people view me and what some call an attack, I see as just a mere disagreement. And even if it was an attack...what's it matter anyhow...Like I said God is the judge and not man.

Very good. I had never stopped to think that our God is the one in whom we wait for the solution of our problems.

Very good. I had never stopped to think that our God is the one in whom we wait for the solution of our problems.
Sometimes we can get so engulfed in the problems in the world we won't see Jesus and His paid for promises. So we grow weary. That's when the enemy comes to steal the Word from our hearts. Our confidence in Jesus gets bogged down by the things we see when we stop looking up.

My faith is strengthened by reading and hearing about the love of God for me in Christ. He does not grow weary since "He never slumbers or sleeps". So I can go to sleep in safety and security. There is no shadow of turning with Him. He remains the same, His love remains the same. It does not change when I change. That is AWESOME. Imagine it!

But if we don't keep remembering this we can soon be looking at the tragedy and try to fit God into our situation when in fact it is He who changes our situations! I'm finding that we need to have high expectations of Jesus in our lives. When I believe Him for the best, my everyday situations change because I've allowed Him to be my confidence.

There is a cartoon someone posted on CC some time ago. It shows these Christians in suits using their big Bibles to hit other people on the head. It's a telling word picture. How can we with the love and joy of the Lord be bashing others using the Bible? If I find myself in that posture I immediately must stop and take a major good look at the motives behind that.

I agree with you about how people who condemn are those that are feeling condemned. They don't know how not to be condemned. I remember being trapped in that ugly religious mindset that believes God wanted us to suffer for our sins. I didn't know how to receive the gift of no condemnation even when it was bought and paid for by Jesus already.

So when other Christians were so happy even when they were not perfect and had character flaws it was my "job" to point that out (or so i thought)

We can be so blinded by our human religious mindset that we miss Jesus altogether.

The gospel of the good news of the finished work of Christ being preached is the exact opposite of what you are accusing others of saying.

What you are saying is unfortunately very simply this....and your continued derogatory remarks are the very reason that CC asked us not to use certain terms nor attack other ministers. It brings forth strife and division which is exactly what you and a couple others are doing.

Actually, Joanie-Marie with her JP devotionals is the one who is actually not obeying the sticky on this issue.

The only garbage is people who try to sneak back in, disobey forum rules, and don't get called on it. I have not been derogatory about anyone or anything. I have gone through the JP devotionals which Joanie-Marie posts and I have shown how, according to the Bible, are incorrect. That, of course, with reference to objective truth, not this garbage that passes for postmodern theology.

Oh yes, and I do try and call you on all your redefinitions of words, Scriptures pulled out of context, but I have a life, and it is so hard to catch all these heretical things you post.

And calling someone "heretical" or a theology a "heresy" is not being derogatory if it is the truth! It is not even an insult, it is merely pointing out where people have gone astray.

Please don't come back with your postmodern subjective truth and tell me "that's your opinion!" I'm into real truth, not redefiniting words and Biblical Christianity! And your postmodern tradition is no different than my historical Biblical tradition, except for the fact, (Martin Luther aside!) that I have 2000 years of theology and scholarship and you have an errant preacher in Singapore leading people all over the world astray, with your help!

Just more of the same malice and slander being manifested. The OP was approved by CC and you were told this numerous times.

The ones causing the strife as usual is you and stephen63 who come in to attack the author of the OP which is what the rules state not to do but you two seem to love to break the rules to continue with your malice and slandering of a minister of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is shameful and that is not who you are in Christ and you should know better.

Sorry but I don't fall for your trying to "Lord it over the faith" of others by your opinion of some subjects and constantly de-meaning them and insulting them with your superior "I know Greek" religious nonsense when they conflict with your opinions.

Unfortunately you are the very one that is causing strife and division because some have a different understanding then you do and you have broken the very rules that have been asked by CC not to do.

Awake to righteousness and be who you really are in the Lord Jesus. You know better then to behave like this.

It's time to grow up in the Lord and stop slandering others in the body of Christ. I don't care how much Greek you think you know. I have said this many times - it doesn't matter how long one has been a Christian, reads the bible every day, goes to church every time the doors are open, can read in Greek, Hebrew, and prays in tongues 5 hours a day. It's not indicative of maturity but what is - is their behavior.

1 Peter 2:1-2 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,

[SUP]2 [/SUP] like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,
