Wow, nice way to attack a fellow Christian, you must have a lot of practice. I suggest you change your favorite bible verse to Matthew 7:1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."
You want to rewrite the Bible. You are to christianity what The Philadelphia Eagles are to a great baseball team. How dumb do you think I am?

I had a dream last night in which an angel appeared and told me "They are confused. Use your prose to unite them."
Don't need the rest..... this by itself is totally wrong. God NEVER puts the choice of words or methods in man's hands to choose for himself.

IMO, a self-proclaimed false prophet is waaaay worse than an internet troll.

Let's take it in context.

Matthew 7
7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? [SUP]4 [/SUP]Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? [SUP]5 [/SUP]You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

You are prophesying that the bible should be changed. That'd qualify you as a false prophet.
I'm asking a hypothetical question for the purpose of disussion. You could say I'm the type of user that likes to stir the pot for the sake of debate, but to me that's healthy. Here's an example. Most JW believe that only 144k people are going to heaven. I disagree, but I wouldn't straight out attack him for that, and might even ask where in the bible he got that number from. Remember, this is a forum where opposing viewpoints are allowed and encouraged. The intelligent people here have responded with scripture that specifically tells us changing the bible is forbidden or debated it in kind if God allowed it, which parts would they like added in or taken out? I can easily tell some others here are like that kid who used to get shoved into the locker at school. So passive-aggressive and insecure. "Here come the boots again. Should they be hip or knee high ha ha ha".

Tanner I am all for dreams from God and visits by angels I have experienced both but an angel would never tell you to come and stir the pot if you will. This doesn't unite the body it separates it, if you want to unite the body of Christ you must ignite the flame and can only do so with God's help. I admit the church is confused it is scattered and it works against itself but this is not the way to unite it

The premise to your question was based on an angelic visitation. You got the response that was merited. Now, if you would have asked "should we change parts of the bible" or "is it okay to rewrite parts of the bible", and been sincerely asking the question, then I doubt you would have been met with as much hostility and mockery. After relating your angelic visitation, you went on to say certain parts of the bible should be changed based on interpretation issues and noted which parts you would change. Your question was not sincere, but as you plainly stated here, was to stir the pot. You got exactly the response you asked for. I highly doubt you were looking for civil discussion but only wanting to cause a point of contention for whatever reason. The question was not presented as hypothetical but you made a statement of fact that you assumed others should jump on board with. "I don't like this part of the bible so it should be changed to such and such...", "So what part don't you like and would like to change?" Doesn't sound very hypothetical to me, but definite.

true his visitation sounds sketchy but even so there still should not have been any hostility or mocking in response to begin with, we claim the title Christian do we not? a christian is called to love to uplift to build up not tear down, a persons heart cannot be changed from mockery or hostility but even a cold heart frozen in deep ice can be melted by being shown the light. Jesus said we are the salt and light of the world how can people know the light if we don't show it.

Fair enough.

But at the same time, his intent was clear. He claimed divine revelation from an angel and it went against the word of God. We also have instructions for dealing with false prophets. Building them up isn't one of those instructions.

yes pointing them out but not tearing down, there is a major difference between loving correction and mocking. In my walk of faith i cannot begin to describe how often I screwed up how badly I screwed up you wouldn't even think I was a Christian, the holy spirit showed me what I did was wrong but did so in a loving manner but more than that instead of God getting mad at me and bringing me down he encouraged me he showed me patience and love and told me he needs me to stay strong.

It was because of how he reacted to my failings i was able to change and be strong, if I came here to cc not saved with a cold heart with the intent to mess with Christians being mocked and treated with hostility would only fuel my ambition to mess with them but if I were treated with love and was responded to with patience and calmness I would slowly by seeing the what love is what it really means to be a Christian begin to change my heart. even if Jack comes back with foul language with great hostility and attacks us severely I truly believe that showing the opposite of what he mostly receives will change his heart

Me and you have had a bit of a different experience. I was also in the same boat as you before. Most would have called me a heretic, false prophet, and blasphemer. I was way off from true Christianity. But God did not gently bring me to the truth because I was too ignorant and stubborn for gentleness. He completely tore me down, drug me through the mud, dismantled my ego, and then rebuilt me lovingly. And I still screw up. A lot.

Sometimes the loving thing to do is not necessarily the "nice" thing to do. I agree about showing love though and trying to be reasonable with people. Sometimes a seemingly harsh word is needed though. Shouldn't necessarily be our first response though. Depends on the situation. Even if this guys intent was to cause trouble, I'd still be there for him if he needed me for something. But again, love isn't always "nice", especially when someone is intentionally stirring up trouble and attacking the body.

Does the pot tell the potter how he is to be made? In the beginning God made the heavens and the earth. All things that were made were made by him.

Not one word, jot, tittle will be changed untill all is fulfilled.

I would not even entertain the ideal of changing one thing in the bible that my friend is some scary stuff.

I would suggest to the OP that you read the new versions of the Bible. All new versions of the Bible have added to and taken away from the word of God. No need for you to change it, it's already been done for you.:)

To the title:

Mankind has been doing this since Christ ascended, or do you think the Apostles called Yeshua, Jesus=?

Perhaps you might have better asked if there are any verses in the Bible anyone wishes weren't there.
