Which is why I spoke of the need to be "sanctified."

New believers.............are surely saved...........BUT there is a NEED to be "sanctified." If not, then that new believer will remain supping on milk.............regardless of how long they live...........Paul spoke of this in his writings concerning "carnal" believers vs. "spiritual" believers............

"Sanctified" believers (who have the indwelling presence of the Holy Ghost) are able to feast on the meat of His Word. Sanctified believers are able to understand the "spiritual" state of Christianity............

We see a LOT of this here on CC, and in the world............believers who simply do not understand the "spiritual" aspect of Christianity, for they are chained to the "carnal" aspect of Christianity.

(my thoughts)
The Christ has done everything for us, including worship, as long as we believe.
Anything else is work, including sanctification.
There's abundant milk in the New heaven and new earth so no worries.

So Jesus has worship for us? I guess our hearts isn't in the right place.

Revelation 9:20
The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk.

Q: What does the saying ''to worship the ground she walks on'' mean?
A:
ts a phrase meaning to hold someone in high esteem and to look up to them reverently. Its also used to mean a sort of intense affection and care for a spouse/lover.

HEBREWS 13:15-16.

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God,
that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His Name.

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices,
God is well pleased.

TEACHING
PREACHING
BOWING
WORSHIPPING
DANCING
PRAISING
MEDITATING
SHARING
WATCHING,
INTIMATE COMMUNICATION - WITH GOD THE FATHER, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, HIS SON,
EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.

'Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication
for all the saints........'

Question: "What is a biblical theology of worship?"

Answer:
Recently, there is a renewed focus on worship—what it is and how it is to be done. The church that does not operate under the biblical theology of worship is in danger of both failing to give God glory and failing to offer worship that is pleasing to Him. Worship is as misunderstood a doctrine as any other within the church. Contrary to popular belief, worship does not begin and end with the singing portion of our church services. Worship is also not limited to only bowing in reverence before God. To begin with, worship is only determined by God Himself, and not everything we do is acceptable to God as worship just because we are sincere or it makes us feel good.

Hebrews 12:28 tells us that we must “serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear” (NKJV). The Greek word translated “serve” here is a form of the word “worship” and is used 21 times in the New Testament in the contexts of service and worship. Another form of the word "worship” is the Greek word therapeuo—from which we get the English word “therapy”—and this is most often seen translated "heal" in reference to the healing of others. In the New Testament, this word is seen in every case of Jesus' healings.

The very first time I studied through Malachi made me question my worship and or the collective worship of the Lord's churches.....Most today give second best in way of worship and expect God to receive it just because they are there......!

I'm currently studying "Christian Worship. The Theology and Practice" brilliant book, it covers. Everything including the question on Malachi's prophecy stating then "what is it worth" but it takes you through the original purpose of worship, the feasts, right into the new testament. Its a book worth getting and reading!

Because Jesus did it we don't have to?
My bible doesnt say that anywhere... show me a bible verse that says
we do NOT have to keep the ten commandments any more
that we do not Have to be reverant?

the three angels message in revelation says the opposite it says
GET OUT OF CONFUSION BABYLON and worship God CORRECTLY!

you must have a different bible.

show me a Bible verse, that is a different gospel altogether

wow

Jesus died so you can KEEP ON SINNING and breaking the commandments and being disrespectful?

verses are flooding my mind
and the holy spirit is telling me
that is not right at all.
that is cheap and free salvation and many will be lost with that attitude

ill get the verses, if you really care...
hang on

This is not correct since the third angels message tells the world that they need to straighten up their worship

Show me from the bible that Jesus does our worship so we dont have to that is incorrect
Jesus tells US to worship correctly

he says WE are to be obedient and reverent

Are you saying going into church you can be irreverant because Jesus was reverent for us?

That is just silly.

when you visit the queen of England, you can do whatever you like, interupt run around teadr up the palace because her son invited you?

silly religion.

Psa_89:7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

Jesus did that so you dont have to? No i dont believe that that is something the enemy would teach..

the enemy hates God and hates giving reverence

Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

and the worship can only be done on the Sabbath which was given to theuniverse before sin
at creation

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
before any Jew
for all men

why does no one ever respond to what the Bible says
?

Th_4:2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
Tit_1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
1Jn_2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jn_2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jn_3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn_3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
1Jn_5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn_5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
2Jn_1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
Rev_12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev_14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev_22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Can you tell me

1. What commandments is God talking about here

2. Where these verses written in the time of the old coevenant or new covenant?

3. What is commandment number 4 of these commandments?

5. Is it important to BELIEVE the bible?

just answer

FAlse interpretation says
Jesus gives us credit for doing those things even though we did not do them

then if that false beliefe WERE true
then why does this happen?

at 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I thought Jesus did that for you?
I thought you were given credit for keeping the commandments?
well

you arent

Jesus does those things in you if you let your body do them
you have to be physically keeping those commandments by the power of Jesus

kneeling working talking with Jesus

saying Jesus did all that for you is what these people said

at 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

and it didnt work did it?

This is a chock to some who have been told differently for years and years and years

at 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

SAomeone told me everyone who tries to do the workd and follow the bible will go to hell
only the ones who do not try to obey god will be saved

now, think about that

Jesus never preached that
Satan preaches that continuously

We must determine who we are working for.

Rev_2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Rev_2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Rev_2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Rev_2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Rev_3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Rev_3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Jesus clearly says DO DO DO the works or you will be destroyed

so the gospel that has told us we dont have to do anything

Is not from the bible it is another gospel

Jesus forgives
then we repent
and then we do all the works the bible tells us to do

Noah DID EVERY THING
and God said GOOD JOB

en_6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
Gen_7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark;
for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

NOAH did and God counted him RIGHTOUS

Num_1:54 And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
Num_2:34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

Num_31:31 And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.
Num_36:10 Even as the LORD commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad:

Gen_6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
Gen_7:5 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached,
as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them,
not being mixed with faith (not believing enough to do it)
in them that heard it.

Heb 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into SABBATH DAY rest, (look it up) as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my SABBATH DAY rest: (look it up) although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Heb 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

Its all there if you believe the bible

Plainly
We all have been told wrong things

The Bible is right
if you read the bible and look things up
the WRONG things we have been taught will come out
and if you Believe the bible instead of the men who taught us worng
than we have faith in the word of God

someone told me
all you have to do is believe

yes
believe enough to do it

Worship outward expression of love and happiness, how you do it dosnt really matter, its the thought that counts.

One interesting thought about worship. Many modern worship songs never mention Christ or God. These names can also apply to Satan, so when thousands of people sing these, demons can take that praise and join in and offer it to Satan.

Just what I've learnt from many on this forum.
We can't do anything right but He takes our place and does everything perfect thus in Him we are perfect so might as well let Him do the worship for us too...

Because Jesus did it we don't have to?
Essentially many teach here.
We can't be sinless but He is sinless.
We can't be holy but He is holy.
We can't be perfect but he is perfect.
In Him we become sinless, holy and perfect.
So why can't we include we can't possibly worship correctly but He lived a perfect life of worship therefore in Him we worship now just sit back and enjoy life?

We all know how to worship, but we need to redirect ourselves from the very things that we are worshiping.
like fancy clothes, jewelries, sport cars, and Elvis. I wished that we all could be like Jesus come riding into town, not on a stallion, but a donkey. We all here to impress each other, but not God.

Indeed we all know how to worship the worldly things not God. When it comes to God? Unfortunately it's a full time thing, not a couple of hours on any day.
