what does god consider heresy?

I am sorry, But the only thing that will condemn a person to hell is to have faith in a false gospel. That is called apostacy. If you want to consider that heresy fine.
That would then mean that every one in a heretical denomination is teaching, and or, believing a false gospel.

In Gods terms, or our terms?

Again, What classifies one as a heretic?

God is not stupid. God knows who is believing in or practicing religious heresy.
Mindee,

EG holds a predestination view on theology....let it go...

I assume this is a free-will issue.
I believe if a person who God deems a heretic dies a heretic, this person used their God-given free-will to chose to be a heretic.

How is it even possible for a heretic to be in God's grace?
Saul of Taurus was a heretic....until he meet Jesus on the road...

Sinners are the ones who need God's grace....so those who are living in apostasy and heresy need God's grace more than ever.

They may be cut off from God's blessings, wisdom, peace, joy if they continue in sin and rebellion.....but they are not cut off from His grace.

It's by His grace He reaches out and touches corrupt hearts and makes them repent and come back to Him..it is by His grace that any of us sinners are washed clean.

If we warn people by showing them overwhelming evidence that they are in a heretical denomination, will they get out of this denomination for the sake of their salvation?

Can a person get to contentment and security by continuing to live in apostasy and heresy?
Children of the devil have great fun partying and cursing God....until they don't.

God chastens His children..,if they are His child then they will never be at peace of they believe in heresy or actively seek sinful living because the Holy Spirit will trouble their heart and they will pray and seek God's wisdom. God will help and teach them to discern good from evil. Sound doctrine from heresy.

It is harsh and wrong to teach that God will forsake anyone who does not have perfect understanding of all scriptures and complete wisdom to discern good doctrine from man-made inventions.

We aren't perfect yet. God is sanctifying us, teaching us, making us into a godly people, but first the milk..,then the milk....first He carries us and bandages our wounds....then He teaches us to walk with Him...eventually we are strong enough to help others walk or carry their burdens of needed.

That all is done by God's grace...unmerrited favor...blessings from our Heavenly Father.

A denomination does not condemn people and are you sure the log is out of your own eye?

If you want to help someone, first show them that Christ lives in you...show them fruits of the Holy Spirit. Listen, pray, love and speak with gentleness and understanding that goes beyond being "right" into being a light shining upon the darkness of this world.

Jeremiah 2:19
Thy own wickedness shall reprove thee, and thy apostasy shall rebuke thee. Know thou, and see that it is an evil and a bitter thing for thee, to have left the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not with thee, saith the Lord the God of hosts.
Read Matthew 7:21-23...."21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

People condemn themselves by choosing to be in apostasy and heresy.

Only God knows your heart. Even if you are following false teachings but deep down you want to search more truth and wisdom, God will extend His grace unto you and show you the way. It will be up to you to follow up on it.

Yes, he certainly will as My signature states:

For the Holy Spirit will teach you but you have to be willing to learn from Him, He will guide you in your daily activities but you have to listen to Him, He will keep, protect and maintain your soul in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit but you have to let Him.
