Well it is certainly not easy. Infact life gets harder, as you come under attacks of all sorts. Satan wants us to give up, we come under so much pressure, that yes its easy to give up and just free oursleves from it all, ut if you stay solid in faith and trust in GOd you can get through anything that comes your way.

Perhaps sometimes yes it is harder than living a normal life but other times its easier and the whole ride it's really great because you see the difference in your heart and mind.

It's easier than living it without Christ.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

It all depends on what you consider hard. I lost a lot of my friends when I came to Christ. That was hard I value my friends however I value my relationship with Jesus more plus he's a much better friend no offense to current friends :p. I think no it's not hard it's rewarding. I've dealt with being shunned most of my life. At least now I know what's at stake and that it's just a temporary situation. Is it hard to walk in Christ's footsteps...ummm you bet your sweet tea it is. But I try and fail and get better and still fail and God loves me anyway. He's pretty awesome like that. The relationship is the easy part for me I love listening and speaking with God it's the best part of life really.

Like living apart from Christ is easy? No hope, no peace. I for one have no interest in going back not that I could.

Yes, and no. Christian living is easy, in that, you have the Holy Spirit as your comforter and guide. That is God by the way, when God is with you, who can be against you? I consider myself a mature Christian and living for/with Christ is easy. He's there ALL the time. Now the hard part? Satan attacks that very feeling of "easy Christian living." The evil one doesn't wan't you to feel that way, so he attacks. That's the hard part. When you don't start the day with your armor on, you might experience the "hard part" of Christian living. Remember, Christian living isn't about you. If it is, it will be hard.

Jesus did not promise us a bed of roses.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
2 Tim 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Nonetheless we should put on the whole armor of God and ask God for an unshakable faith.

Its hard if u try to do it on your own. Like with your own ability. but if you have the holy spirit (which gives you clear understand of God's word and will) and faith. its really easy. I'm talking from experience. The hardest thing about living holy (Christian) is just Satan tempting me more than he used to, and if you don't stay prayed up, you will fall into his trap. But if you resist the devil he will flee (James 4:7)

Proverbs 13:15 KJV
Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

Proverbs 3:3-6 KJV
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I found all these scriptures to be 100% true. Living for God will open doors that no man can shut. He will truly guide you thru your career and life, but most importantly, spirituality.
When I began to give everything over to God, I was truly giving him my burdens...now I'm not saying I got an easy life and I'm laying by the beach everyday...but I am saying im living and feeling significantly better than I used to.
Yea you may lose a few friends and yes you may get talked about. But as long as I suffer persecution, I know I'm doing the will of God, which has way more benefits than what people can offer. Plus being in God keeps trouble away from you...rather it be your "friends" or family or just people in general. But one benefit of being a Christian is if problems do come into my life I know I got someone to call that can fix everything. The very same person that spoke the universe into being. And if He's able to do that then I know my big problems are microscopic to Him. When any kind of trouble arises I still have this peace that no matter what, God's in control and he knows how to bring me out and how to bring me closer to him.
So you think its hard to lived saved? Not at all. Its the best thing anyone can ever do.

Christian life has always been a swim upstream, against the current, for me. The example from the Bible, I remind myself everytime is of Peter. He was hung upside down on the cross for his love towards Jesus and to spread the good news. Until/unless that happens, I consider everything else minor. Like it's been mentioned already, Jesus never said it'd be easy, He just said I'll be with you through it all :)

It requires sustained effort because we have to fight to overcome temptation and our natural tendencies towards the easy gratifications of the flesh.

Many of the disciples were killed in very brutal ways, and I ask myself... really ask myself... would I stand up for what I believe like them if it meant I would be killed like that? I would like to think so but I couldn't know unless it happened to me. In this age, Christians are being persecuted more and more. So no, it's not easy, and our flesh and spirit will always be at war, but life isn't easy for anyone.

Life isn't easy for any of us, but through Christ, we have hope for the future... a hope many others give up on... eternal life. I'd rather be uncomfortable in this world than the next, but God will give us all the strength to overcome all our struggles and trials. Ones we couldn't face as easily with the strength of mere human strength. Not because we earned it but because God is good! :)

Peace be with you, Matthew 7; 14 says it all. You will be treated badly for doing right. People will insult you, mistreat you and tell all kind of evil lies about you since you are a Christian (Matthew 5; 10-12). JESUS said to HIS brothers who have disbelieve (John 7; 6,7); 'Your time is always here and the people of this world cannot hate you. They hate me because I tell them the evil things that they do.'
Now one can judge is it easy or hard to enter GOD place of rest? (Hebrew 3; 12-15)
On the other hand, If it has been easy for some is because one may have fallen into the richness and pleasure of this world and their fruit never ripens.(Luke 8; 14). Christian can judge which ground they represent and i see myself being on the third ground of the story.
Even being a lukewarm Christian, the LORD is not happy about it (Revelation 3; 16). i also see myself here, as a coward to the Good News and Peace, only speaking to those i'm comfortable with.
The HOLY SPIRIT our Teacher of HIS Scriptures have highlighted also among others, these truth which i want to ignore, in revealing the remaining darkness in me, which i can hide, pretend and make excuse to others, that i'm okay, i'm save and i have eternal life.
Isn't this a deception within my'self', also as an enemy of CHRIST too?
i thank GOD for HIS SON who imparted HIS FATHER's SPIRIT, so that in knowledge of HIS Holy Bible of HIS New Covenant Scriptures, others who are with me and i, can workout in one mind and one purpose our salvation in fear and trembling.
May our blessed GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST bless and help the true believers to come out and excel in spirit and truth. And also forgive and bless those who are in ignorance and arrogance towards the Holy Scripture truth to be reconciled back to the Holy truth.
Please discuss with the LORD of our Salvation in all matters of the truth, whether in weakness or in strength, all must be according to what the FATHER's Word in the written New Covenant which HE made using the blood offering of HIS SON, is saying about completion in one's life for eternal life.

Excellent Starfield. I am reminded of another scripture: Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to DESTRUCTION, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and NARROW is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The word "Narrow" here in Matthew 7:14 is Strong's Greek #G2346 = suffer tribulation

Apparent is Destruction and suffer tribulation are two different things. During the Last days in the Great Tribulation, when we believers, children of God, are sticking to the narrow path, we are on a path that is for our good, but is trying and in that trying is meant to clean us up spiritual, physically and eternally. A father who loves his child will chastise and is done in love and in building right character, having Jesus' character in us. Yes, Jesus says take his yoke and the burden will be made light. Apart from Jesus, there is nothing eternally good.

My life is a thousand times easier walking with Christ. Why wouldn't it be? I have the Creator of the Universe to lead and guide me into all truth. I do not have the evils of the world to tempt me. God is love, and I know God loves me. Before I was saved, I thought no one loved me.

I believe that there can be consequences in following Christ, like persecution, but having the Holy Spirit to comfort makes it all worth while. Jesus said his yoke was easy, and that is what I have always found. It is me that is sometimes not easy on myself, not God.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [SUP]29 [/SUP]Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [SUP]30 [/SUP]For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matt 11:28-30

I would rather die a painful death with Christ, than live a life of luxury without Him!

is living the Christian life easy or hard?
It depends; "Are You A Transgressor?"

Proverbs 13:15; Good understanding gives favor: but the way of transgressors is hard.
