so coz u r chrstian and in chrstiane site u have the right to insult others??/////?
woooooow
No, this isn't a "right" issue. This isn't a politically correct one either, although you seem to be trying very hard to make it one.

I never insulted you. If you're offended because Christians don't believe Islam is good or holy that's your issue. And I feel sorry for you because the rejection of all other religions as truth is a building block for Christianity.

What sort of Christian would I be if I believed Islam was truth? A bad one. I'm sorry you can't handle that.

Why did Jesus say, “Judge not, that you be not judged”?
Why did Jesus say, "be as shrewd as vipers, and as gentle as doves?" Just because you're a Christian doesn't mean you should walk through life with no structure or wisdom.

I think his words are worth considering.

There are very different levels of Islam followers. A lot of Muslims aren't the "suicide bombers, kill all who don't believe" type, most are like you and me trying to live this life the best they can and make it.

But personally I find Islam evil due to what it does to their followers. In Islamic countries women are treated like TRASH, and that isn't speculation or bias, that is fact. I shutter to read reports from Africa and the Middle East where women are mutilated and punished for no other crime than just being born female. Islam is the scapegoat for a lot of atrocious behavior because it does have a lot of anti-women "scriptures" in their religious text.
Weren't women treated like TRASH in Christian countries? In the United States, women were not allowed to vote until 1919. In fact, Finland was the first country in the world to give women the right to vote and run for office in 1906. After the Protestant Reformation, Martin Luther did away with Convents. In doing so he cut women out of religious offices because he upheld the traditional view that men should be the ones in control of the church. What about during the Victorian Era? There are so many examples of this.

Christianity and Judaism has a lot of anti-women scriptures. You should read your bible more often. 1 Corinthians 14:34,35 comes to mind. In Genesis 3:16 women are told that they shall be dominated over by their husbands.

I look forward to your reply.

Why did Jesus say, “Judge not, that you be not judged”?
John 7:24
Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.

Romans 2:1-3
Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?

Proverbs 31:9
Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.

1 Corinthians 2:15
The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one

Romans 14:1
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.

James 5:20
Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

And I think it's equally as important to stand up for what you believe. I have the responsibility to love people I don't agree with, not agree with everything those people believe. I think being polite is a very valuable asset especially when discussing something close to people's hearts.

But don't confuse accepting everything as being polite.

There are times it is necessary to judge. There are times it is not necessary to judge.

Jesus said: " I am the way, the truth and the light, no one comes to the Father except through me". All throughout history, man's problem has been bowing to false god's religions, idolatry!
Many religions use the guise of honouring the prophets of the Old Testament, and even our Lord and Saviour, but that's all they do honour Him a s a good teacher or great prophet yet fail to realise He is God who died for their/our sins. To reconcile a broken and Fallen world.

Come to Him just as you are, you don't have to do anything for Christ done it for you on the cross, He paid your penalty " for the wages of sin are death" Christ paid the wages of your death if you have only Faith in Him. It doesn't matter what race/religion whatever you where brought up with, Christ did it for you! the debt is paid, Faith alone in Christ is your only way to Eternal life, a life of peace, and Joy. There are no works good enough to earn favour with God, infact you cannot earn Favour with God, your good works are like filthy rags. Faith and belief in Christ will bring you eternal peace.

And if we have no Faith or belief in Christ.. we stand under the curse of death, " for the wages of sin is death" we all have our god's whether it be money, religion, food but Christ is the only way to true eternal life.

Again, that's people to people not Christianity.

Romans 16:17-18
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

I would rather be refused to vote than have my clitoris cut out to remain "pure", it's a very common practice in Africa and the Middle East. (If you look it up you'll find modern cases, this isn't a practice that ended in "1919" or in the Victorian Era.) It's common knowledge that women are treated badly in Islamic countries. I live in America, I know how I'm treated, the United States is not even close to being a country that violates civil rights based on gender. And I know a woman pastor, so what are you talking about with all of this "women out of religious offices"? That doesn't apply in modern society here in America.

And if you read your Bible more often you'd know that God commanded men to love their wives as Christ loves the church. Ephesians 5:25. Who in this world can love a person more than God?

That is the point of my post. The post I replied to said that Islam was evil because of how they treat women. My first post on the first page said that religion cannot be inherently evil or good. It is an object. Evil or Good describe men and their actions. Islam is not evil. Just because they treat their women differently, which is a broad generalization. Jordan and Queen Noor come to mind. That is people to people, not Islam.

I think you're splitting hairs here. It's like saying Communism is functional because it's based on a perfect system. But everyone knows that Communism never works because people aren't perfect.

Islam in itself may not be viewed as "evil" because it's just a religion. But any religion that is not Christianity is false, and any man who is not saved is in darkness, and any man in darkness will go to Hell. Islam is a tool to Hell, and ultimately that is evil.

I live in the real, not the ideal.

What about the Puritans?

Female Circumcision is a practice that predates Islam and Christianity. If you did your research you would know that. If you did more research you would find that Christian communities in Africa practice female circumcision alongside their Islam counterparts. Nevertheless, Islamic scholars and the Pope of the Coptic Christians in Egypt have said that Female circumcision should not be practiced.

On the topic of women in the clergy. That is a small minority. Roman Catholics, the Orthodox Church, and the majority of traditional Protestant denominations still refuse to ordain women to the priesthood. Did you know that their are Muslim female religious leaders in Egypt? Do your research.

Women are still discriminated against in the West. Look at the pay rate between males and females. Look at the various social and economic indicators. Please do your research.

Communism doesn't work? As a political science student I would have to disagree. China's economy has grown 10% every year from 1994-2004. It is currently the third largest economy in the world, behind Japan and the United States. It has surpassed Japan in holding United States debt. If you measure it on Purchase Power Parity then it is the second largest economy behind the United States.

In China, the homicide rate is 2.6 per 100,000 individuals. In the United States it is 5.4 per 100,000 individuals.

Also remember that it was a democracy that exploded two atomic weapons that was intentionally aimed at civilians. It was a democracy that said that African-Americans were less than human and subjected them to slavery.
