I have spasmodic dysphonia and the therapist wanted to inject botox into my larynx to help the stuttering.
I just didn't get a good feeling (there I go not practicing what I preach) about it, it being a temporary fix plus injecting botulism that close to my brain..nawww. But that's just me :p

We all get older, no matter what we do. Accept it gracefully with it's gray hairs, wrinkles and waddles, or fight it tooth and nail. Either way, you're going to get older.

I love my wrinkles and gray hair. I earned every one of them, and they tell a story.

Well, we ain't gonna compare scars. I know what my chronological age says, but it ain't the years...it's the mileage. I might only be 39, but I'm S&P gray, have arthritis all over my body and smell of Ben-Gay regularly. I make "old man noises" when I get out of a chair, and I drink prune juice every morning. I'm one of the youngest "old people" I know.

Hard living does that to you.

Gee, you probably passed me when you were 30.

The first 18 years weren't bad. It was the 21 years after that where the odometer started spinning like a knob on an outhouse door. Prison can age a man way before his time. So can bad marriages.

Smart move. I understand how annoying stuttering can be when you are trying to teach.
I must be very careful that I not speek to fast and that I pause from time to time and regroup.
