I'm still waiting for your input on how in God's Name you think its so hard not to lust after random women everyday...

I didn't mean lust, I meant look at a beautiful woman and take a glance where maybe I shouldn't ( I think this topic is inappropriate on a public forum). I don't do it all the time but I do it more often than I should, and it is embarrassing. It is a fleeting glance. It is a sin yes, and I feel horrible that may do it from time to time.
Thanks for magnifying my sin, I applaud you for walking blameless and pure hearted every day!

I'll bet the minute we say we never sin, the next thing we'll do is sin.

Do you or don't you mean lust? Lust is a sin, happening to see something is not. Choosing to look at something you shouldn't have just because you want it is generally lust (that's true even if its a car or other random thing).

If its lust stop feeling horrible about it and start taking measures not to do it anymore. Perfectionism or not you need to change your habits and the way you think. If it isn't lust then you have no point, and are creating sins that don't exist...

I'm not magnifying your sin, I'm pointing out that you have no excuse for it if you have it.

If its not lust its not sin. If it is lust it is sin.

Rather thank the Lord I did not make myself like you. God is not the author of sin, if you sin don't blame him for how he made you.

Thankfully I have chosen not to think about off limits women like that. I have my own women to look at if I so desire. Your profile says you have your own woman to look at as well... There is no reason not to make it your goal to look only where appropriate.

You don't need to worry much if it takes time, but please at least admit that if you do have an issue then you should be working to correct it and not throwing pity parties to excuse it...

I posted this question to skinski and he couldn't answer me, so I'm wondering if your gonna do the same :
are you prideful, do you covet, jealous of another, vain, think your better than others, do you do something you know you shouldn't, do you judge another? Because all these things are sin, do you lie, and justify yourself by saying it's only a little white lie? Sin is sin, just because you don't commit any outward sins does not mean all of you on the inside is clean, the Pharasies appeared perfect on the outside, yet Jesus called them whitewashed tombs. By the way mocking another's struggle is also sin, so it looks like your not sinless after all

Oh occasionally. Quite a few perfectionists take it as a teleological goal not an immediate reality. That is to say, it is possible not to sin, it is our goal not to sin, but it is not recessionary to be at that point at any given time before we die (and after we die we are perfected, I hope we all agree on that)

If one should become perfect they may be translated like Enoch or possibly Elijah. Coming closer to the goal at least gives one more power in their gifting and such.

do you do something you know you shouldn't,
That's kind of random. I suppose you mean just do any sin when you still know its sin?
do you judge another?
Judgment isn't sin, hypocrisy is. I wish more Christians would understand that. You'd only have to read one verse further to see that, but most people like cut quotes rather than content...
Because all these things are sin, do you lie, and justify yourself by saying it's only a little white lie?
To be honest, most of the things you listed are not that hard to avoid. Covetous is killed by contentment, and if you can get past the consumerism of our culture contentment is not that difficult given the ease of our life. Jealousy and the kind of pride scripture dislikes is killed in the same way. Of course there are quite a few good prides out there, true self confidence and such, they are different than what scripture condemns.

You know, the majority of the list you wrote has to do with a spirit of discontentment. I believe those may be hard for quite a few of us here because many of us are in nations of abundance (Canada, US, Australia) and yet also nations driven by consumption and world concerns. Disconnecting from that rat-race really goes a long ways to killing the things on that list, but it goes against much of what we have been taught and so takes quite a long journey of faith and serenity.
Sin is sin, just because you don't commit any outward sins does not mean all of you on the inside is clean,
Is your railing against perfectionists such that you'll just assume they're sinning inside because you want everyone to sin?

the Pharasies appeared perfect on the outside, yet Jesus called them whitewashed tombs.
Indeed, they did what they did for public approval.

Notice that perfectionists are generally railed against and denied public approval. We say what we say for the Kingdom. People like their dear freind sin, and don't like the idea that they should leave him alone and move on...

By the way mocking another's struggle is also sin, so it looks like your not sinless after all
If calling people out on sin and telling them they need to go and sin no more is in and of itself sin in your books then my Jesus is the gravest of sinners...

If someones going to boast of their sin and defend being allowed to keep it I'm gonna call them out on it, esp if they themselves say its sin.

what's more funny is that they dodge the question every time it is asked.
And what is SAD is that you ask this question! Who are you, from GOD to judge? Or are you from SATAN to ask?
Same with EG, he just does not want to keep score. John says once that we sin, and twice that God's Cildren does not! So again the sinneth not wins!

This are my questions to you! Can God give a person perfect LOVE? Because the Bible teaches that love to God is keeping His Word (keeping His commandments) and the Bible also taches.... That HIS love is perfected in the ones that love one another.... And if that is still sinning, then the LOVE IS NOT PERFECTED.
The next question... does God still give people this perfect love... Well it mostly depends on their FAITH... Will God give a person perfect love that do not even believe in perfect love? I think NOT!

I find nothing "funny" in the Bible and nothing "funny" in what any person say about God and Jesus. This is serious stuff... MANY ARE DECIEVED but fortunately the Bible teaches.... IF IT WERE POSSIBLE to even decieve the ELECT... See it is not possible to decieve the elect. The Elect knows their God COMPLETE what HE STARTED.... And He started to LOVE THEM FIRST, and they WILL ALL LOVE HIM... KEEP HIS WORD, and PERFECT LOVE IN THEM!

Praise my Lord Jesus, and Father, HE WILL COMPLETE ME, SKINSKI AND STARFIELD, LOVEME1, And anyone that also have FAITH IN HIS WORK! AMEN!

Radius, did Sacharias and Elizabeth KEEP GOD'S commandments and ordinances or did they also sin?
Were these two blameless before God or not? Even before God? Were they sinners or not?
Read Luke 1, and see what God witness about these two people.

Then you read on and see what John the BAPTIST was. Did he sin? Or was he FILLED with the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD from his mother's womb? And now you have to decide if the Holy Spirit can sin. If he can then John could, and so could Jesus, but they did not! Because the HOLY SPIRIT CANNOT SIN. not in the body of Jesus, not in the body of John and not in the body of Radius. That is what makes the HOLY SPIRIT holy. The 100% obedience to God's WILL. 100%

And jesus said... John was the BIGGEST born from a woman, but he is the samllest in the Kingdom... Jesus says here that ALL who God makes HIS CHILDREN is BIGGER than John the Baptist. That means they are even holier than John.

Hey i think you lost this one, The Bible proved you wrong way to many times now! Sorry my friends, take defeat as good losers!

Hi, Cobus!
I hope you and yours are well. :)

Under the OT sacrificial system, 'blameless' meant they were offering the appropriate sacrifices for sin at the temple, and God accepted them.
Blameless and sinless are not the same thing as used in that passage.
Blameless meant God had placed no blame on them--not that they never sinned.

love,
ellie

I totally agree! The human species is absolutely despicable and I can't wait until General Jesus comes back and takes me up for the Rapture!

I'm sorry, you are 100% correct. I misspoke. I was typing from my phone and busy at the time.

-And you have your "OWN WOMEN" to look at if you desire? As in more than one? Maybe you and I are more alike than previously thought. I'm assuming you meant your wife when you said "women," but oh, gotta love Freudian slips.

Luke 12:1
“Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 3What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.

when you know something is wrong, yet do it anyway, this is sin, so no its not random-
Judgment is a sin when your motives are wrong - do you judge to make yourself look better -
what I wrote has to do with the heart - the heart is deceitful and filled with all kindest of wickedness -
I wrote to point out we are not completely sinless, even if you don't commit any outward sins your heart will still seek after what it wants
because of our sinful nature -
Are you greater than the apostles and the prophets?
I haven't seen anyone boast of their Sun- though I have seen people admit they are flawed, and for you to mock their struggle may not be sin but it is extremely bad form,
look at me, I'm perfect, and your a dirty heathen -
Can you honestly say that is not the same attitude of the Pharasies? And if it's not it's still ugly

... Look at my profile pic and quote. It's no slip, and I never attempted to conceal my position on that matter in any thread. I've actually discussed it a few times on this site, though the more in-depth discussion on the matter tend to be in private messages because people approach me about it.
