Is it sin if you say you read something but you didn't?

Okay, I see your point. But because you used a program before...does that change the fact that that program has not possibly changed their policies to where it could affect you? :D

its not lying its just asking a question to make sure you read it to cover their end...so if u had a question they can say,,,u said yes to it,,,but if u say no u cant go one,,,

I actually do read them from time to time, but today it would have added a half an hour to my work if I had really read all the license agreements I claimed to have read.

Wouldn't wasting all that time be stealing from my employer?
Have you ever considered text to speech?
Perhaps you can read the agreement with your ears prior to installing the software.

I recently found a free online text to speech service that turns text into an audio file with optional download if needed.

I work in the computer field and I often have to install new software. Invariably, there is a check box during installation that says "I have read and accept this license agreement." My problem is that I rarely bother to read the license agreement, but in order to use the software I have to say I did.

Is it a sin to say you have read a software license agreement when you have not?
I hope not. I never read those things either.
