Isaiah was given to prophesy the coming birth of our Savior.

Isa 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:7
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of

The Child is prophesied as being called all the names of God here. I will not diminish the mystery of His being by saying I can explain It for I care not to, but I do believe His Word from Genesis to the final amen of Revelation. I believe you all do too. God bless you all in Jesus Christ, amen.

The only difference I noticed was "Father" not being in the original, just wanted to post it. I love you JJ.

In versions I have read it contains "gibbor abi," Almighty Father. What I have learned about original Hebrew, translations, etc. have given me good reason to lean on the Holy Spirit for what I understand, also cross referencing quotes in all the Books come to this same understanding. The Tather, the Son and the Holy Spirit are One. Elohim is One. It is a wonderful mystery that unites in the Holy Spirit yet divides many clean. Praise our Maker, amen. It is only natural to say in truth, concerning love, the feeling is mutual, I love you in Jesus Christ, Yeshua, and all, amen..

I thought Jesus is just the SON of God.

Yes, but He is also God the Son. God means Deity, and God the Father is not the only Deity. There is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. But they are one in unity. They do not contradict each other, they are of one mind and purpose. John 1:1 in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

amein, Yahweh and Yahshua decided before the world was created how / what/ when to reveal the plan of salvation to people on earth.

Yahshua says in Scripture that He has always shared Yahweh's glory, as well as
through Yahshua all things that ever were created were created, and nothing was created without Him.

For the salvation of Christ, one must believe in Jesus as the Son of God come to us in flesh: the Christ, sent from God, and born of God. One must believe in Christ as without sin: living in perfect obedience, the very image of the Father. One must believe in His sacrificial work on the Cross: that it is enough to cover our sins and grant us eternal life. And one must believe in the Resurrection of Christ, and that through Faith in His person and work, we too will be resurrected at His Coming.

Can a person believe all this without understanding and acknowledging the Godhood of Christ Jesus? Yes, but I doubt the Spirit would allow a sound-minded Believer to go on for long without drawing them to the Scriptures supporting the Deity of Christ, and His Oneness with the Father and Spirit. Such understanding is part of maturity and discipleship, and growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.

If a sound-minded person is intentionally rejecting the implications of Scripture in favor of unscriptural doctrines, then they are intentionally rejecting the Word (which is Christ), and the Spirit of the Word (Holy Spirit), and the One who sent the Word (the Father). Salvation rests in the Gospel. Maturity rests on good doctrine and living out the Gospel.

The Deity of Christ has been proven dozens of times in this thread alone. A person claiming Faith in Christ should come away, after reading these Scriptural proofs, with a sense of agreement in spirit, or with a realization of their rebellion against the Word , and a desire to repent (turn their mind) from ignorance and unbelief, and to the truth of the Word.

[h=3]The Word Became Flesh[/h]1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John.7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus is the word

Yes Jesus Christ of Nazareth is God with no beginning, The Captain of the Host of the Lord. He said to Phillip after Phillip asked Jesus to show us the father,Jesus said, have I been so long of a time with you and yet you have not known me?
