do you deny that it has not ruin some marriages, destroyed preachers integrity? your marriage of 35 years that is a great thing . But if this doesn't apply to you great. But that is not the case with many.
This is responding to your comment specifically about destroying preachers integrity; should somebody who succumbs habitually to the temptation of the flesh be preaching? From my understanding porn addiction is something that starts out young, long before a calling in ministry. Those who are pastors are given charge over a flock and if flesh is what they choose to serve then I believe they would be blind guides, even if they are likeable and speak well publicly.

Not true Hungry . I t can start being young but it can also start out by searching the net. The context of destroying preachers integrity has to do with the standing of people who use to here the person before they succumbed to or should we say found out about . Yes it can be and issue of youth I agree but not solely

There are two sins. The woman who covets and the man who fornicates. We are all sinners. That's why we need Jesus. I look at woman with lust in my heart. I pray.

I have heard lots of talk over the years about men and porn addiction. I understand the issue and am not saying it is not something that should be talked about, however, many married woman don’t realize they are sometime what incourages a man to do this. I have been married for almost twenty years and have always been very attracted to my wife, but because of issues that happened to her in her adolescence, I have never been desired by her and have always been the one to PUSH the sex issue. This takes the fun out of it and causes the man to start looking around. These issues combined with her participating in adulterous acts can make a little porn so much more desirable.

This is a question on the ladies board, but I'd like to hear from all sides.

And, assuming most go with it is, then how about when your mind wanders when intimate? Is that cheating too?

And, assuming that is too, is there anyone who doesn't cheat?
No. A divorce is not warranted in this case.

Cheating is bad but Porn is Deception, a lie, and perverse. For one to buy into the very lie of porn. No women can live up to the false narrative of this sexually false perception; of sexual relationship. With the right plastic, lighting, make up, and glamour or made up beauty even ORGK would look good.

Porn-Drugs-Alcohol, SIN

1 Peter 1:3 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ
(NOTE: Every action begins with a thought)

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
(NOTE: Capture & examine every thought. Godly? UnGodly? Then act accordingly)

Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
(NOTE: Don't make provisions for sin. Porn problem? Delete all links, throw away all vids, books etc & stay away. Drinking problem? Trash all alcohol, no bars or people while they party. Drug problem? You know what to do!)

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
(NOTE: Trust in Christ, remain resolute, don't make provisions for the flesh that may lead to sin)

James 4:7 (B) Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
(NOTE: FIGHT him & keep fighting. The sign of a true champion is: When knocked down, GET-UP & fight back)

Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
(NOTE: Sin is at the door)

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
(NOTE: Christ is at the door. Open the RIGHT door)

They're all watching porn. ;)

It's a bit odd having this thread in the Bible discussion forum isn't it?

What's the ratio between quit and got-banned?

And, that atwhatcost gal was a real pistol, wasn't she?

(Just in case some aren't getting it. I am atwhatcost, with a new user name.)

any one who participates in this devious act of satan, is deceived if they think that they
are a Christian - not only is their marriage a sham, but they have deceived themselves
into believing that Jesus would accept such behavior and that they would not be accountable
for crucifying Him once again by indulging in this most un-acceptable behavior...

Sin is sin is sin is sin.......break the least of the commandments = guilty of the whole......a little white liar is as guilty as one who embraces porn......we need to be careful in quantifying and qualifying sin into nice neat little boxes......it often times equates into the same attitude the Pharisees had....I thank God I am not like that sinner over there......

just saying and making an observation.

Did I miss something? There are sinless people? Are they like unicorns or bigfoot....I've heard it bandied about on this forum but I've never actually seen one outside of this zoo.
Is that like running backwards and seeing a monkey?

Jesus definitely makes a distinction about the qualifications of certain sins as opposed
to every sin - bottom line, we are accountable none the less for every time that we willingly
commit a sin that we absolutely know that He will not tolerate, after conversion, thus we would be
dragging Him down/back to the old bones...

our lives are about 'over-coming' our sinful ways that we have committed while we served
the world, satan's world' - after 'conversion', being delivered from the power of satan over us,
our Love and Gratitude for our Saviour is recognized by Him, and He gives us the strength and power
to 'over-come' our old worldly ways, here a little, and there a little' else there would not be a way possible
for us to be able to 'walk in His Holy Light', we all have our choices...
He has 'bought us with His Blood, and once we realize this there is a change in our hearts will begin
to take place, and that makes us abhor the old world and it's ways that we partook of, and thus we are
on our way to a whole 'new and better way' that He has made available to us through our understanding
of just what His Holy Sacrifice truly means, the Love of it, and The Holy Spirit begins to lead us into this
brand new Holy Path the has captured our hearts and enlightens us to what our Saviour requires of us
in order to be a part of His calling us out, our election and calling apart from our 'old lives'...

our Saviour's Blood Sacrifice, shows us a whole, brand-new way and meaning of 'Holy Love '
in our gratitude and thankfulness, great and wonderful results become apparent, and if they don't
then we are only fooling ourselves and living a lie...

Actually, the Bible says sexual sins come with their own special entanglements, as they defile the body which is the Temple of Christ.

Not the point......and my point was valid....sin is sin regardless of the consequences associated with said sin.....break the least guilty of the WHOLE

Those who say it is art just have to look at the motivating factors of what is porn today and anyone with a hint of discernment would see porn today doesn't comfort, edify. It is self gratifying . That is sin.
Completely agree. And on the topic of art... unfortunately one man's art will be another man's porn. You just can't control what's in another person's heart. Some might be quick to condemn the painter, whose intentions were purely artistic, but he can't control how a person responds to his work. While one admires the art, another will be aroused by it in a different way. In that case, the one being aroused is sinning, and if art is a known weakness for them then they should avoid it altogether and never visit an art gallery. If, however, the painter's intentions were to arouse people in a sinful way then he would also be sinning, but usually art is art and the intention is obvious.

As for porn, the intentions behind it are obvious. Not only are those watching it sinning, but also all those involved in the making of it, because of their intentions.

I don't agree with Islam, but just wanted to point out that it's sad that a woman is blamed for a man's sin. That she would be forced to wear a burqa and if she somehow aroused a man (when it was not her intention) by flashing a bit of ankle even, that she would be blamed and not the man, when it was actually the man who sinned and not her. I guess this is another thread altogether, but it just came to mind.
