The Holy Ghost in a you.
One of the biggest lies people believe today is when do the Holy Ghost actually enter to RESIDE in you. To dwell in you, or to REMAINETH in you. Despite what the Bible teach most “Christians” have NO idea what happens when God puts HIS SEED (Holy Spirit) in a person.
So let us go step by step how the Bible teaches and not these LOST FALSE TEACHERS… Let us see WHAT GOD SAYS about whosoever recieves the Holy Spirit to live in him…
The first verse we will use is 1 John 3:9. In this verse God calls a spade a spade… If you look at this verse you will propably say as I did…. “GOD! This Bible is lying to me now!” But after I studied the Word of God for about 140 000 hours, I still could not find a SINGLE verse that contradicts this verse. Not even a hint of God wanting us to sin… Or permission of God to remain a sinner. NONE! NOT ONE! Actually the OPPOSITE is the Truth. God expects PERFECTION! And He expects it right here on earth… IN THIS BODY YOU ARE NOW! So let us do this, and stop bulldusting people with FALSE teachings,
1 John 3:9… Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Please do not edit or twist or add or take away from this verse…. The WHOLE Bible teaches this. If you need to change this to feel comfortable, the Holy Spirit will NOT STOP reproofing, or convincing or convicting you of the sin in your life. Even if you refuse to stop sinning, the Holy Spirit will still reproof you. Until the day you die, even if you are of the world and not a child of God from heaven. Note FROM heaven…. Jesus said His brethren is NOT OF THIS WORLD even as HE is not of this world.
If we think God or the translaters made a mistake here in 1 John3:9, then God gave us 1 John5:18 to even show just how “delivered” people are when the Holy Spirit resides IN THEM!.... 1 John 5:18… We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Who KEEPETH HIMSELF? The Holy Spirit keepeth himself…. Remember if the Holy Spirit comes to fill you (live in you) HE IS THE SPIRIT THAT KEEPETH HIMSELF…. That is why HE CANNOT SIN! He is the Spirit of GOD! And HE HAS NO COMMUNION WITH DARKNESS… He is the Spirit of light, and the light CHASETH OUT THE DARKNESS!
The Bible says GOD KNOWS TO DELIEVER HIS CHILDREN FROM TEMPTATION….I ask this now…. If God delivered you from temptation, do you think you can still sin… How can you sin if you are not even TEMPTED? How can you sin if the WICKET ONE cannot even touch you with a temptation? You see just as the temptations was SILLY works of Satan to Jesus, that is how they become if God DELIVERS you… Did Jesus not teach us to pray for that? Lead us not into temptaion, but DELIVER us from evil! Now say that AFTER God delievered you, you can still sin. It is BLASPHEMY.
I know one thing about God…. If God bless it, it remains blessed FOREVER! So many people refer to Paul as a sinner. I challenge them…what sin did he do? I know he lied, but when God showed me what OTHERS percieved as a lie, I understood why Paul said these things. And if you read this, why do you STILL see Paul as a sinner? Look at yourself, and then call Paul a sinner again, HYPOCRATE!
Here read this and if you do not know Paul as well as you know yourself, do not even qoute him. He was a HOLY APOSTLE appointed by God, who are you and to what post did God appoint you? Read this….For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

Do you even know what Paul lied about? I doubt it. Ask God to SHOW you! And if you know APPLY that wisdom as I do! To TEACH TRUTH, not lies!
Let me assure you one thing today…. NOBODY recieves the Holy Spirit to LIVE IN THEM, BEFORE they are not saints… Saints are people that ALREADY STOPPED ALL SIN! Eph 4:11 to 13. Paul was one that was appointed for : “PERFECTING THE SAINTS”. As Eph 4 goes on ..... UNTO A PERFECT MAN…. To the fulness of Christ. Read this and judge for yourself how perfect the Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers has to be to make a sinless man unto a perfect man.
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The Holy Spirit baptism INTO YOU is the FINAL step to make you Christ like, not the first step. The Spirit LEADS before He fills! I will continue thiis teaching later. Get this into your hearts FIRST! Love you all, because God loves you all.

Cobus i hope you know and maybe you already expect and even planned
on posting this and get hammered for it. The reason is that its just plain
wrong.

I see you used at least one verse besides the usual 1 John only but you just
cant do that. All 66 books Cobus and the whole council of God.

Im sorry you dont understand or even want to understand how sanctification
works and without the Spirit we wouldnt get anywhere or understand anything spiritual.
Titus 3:5

5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

but ill let the younguns deal with ya:cool:

Remember Romans 8 says if you dont have the Spirit your not saved.
And if your not saved then of coarse there never will be a last work. see?

Am I reading Cobus right?
Peter sinned having the Holy Spirit and Paul had to rebuke Peter for it.

But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
(Gal 2:11-13)

So does this mean Peter never actually had the Holy Spirit?

The Bible is clear on this. If the Holy Spirit dwells in a person, they are saved, if he doesn't, they are not saved.
So the Spirit enters a persons life at conversion

Crossnotes did you ask God why that argument was between Paul and Peter? What was His (God's answer to you)? Why did PETER not behave the same as he did BEFORE the Jews arrived. Why did Paul call Peter a hupocrate? Was Peter a hypocrate?

Oh there are so many things I asked God when I read the Bible, and EVERY time He would SHOW me in life and in scripture how it all comes togather. FOR US!!~!

If Peter and Paul did not have that argument, we would NEVER had assurance that GOD CHOSE PAUL to preach to the heathens...

Again let me use SCRIPTURE to SHOW that the Holy Spirit is only put in you AFTER you reahced a specific level of FAITH! Faith grows, Truth grows, Love grows, but the Spirit of God does NOT GROW! He is gives to the whole earth to LEAD! Some (the ones that believe) will follow Him in HIS TEACHING! Other's will follow a way and stop following. Does that mean they LOST the Spirit? No they NEVER had Him to lose. He will STILL reproof them, that is HIS JOB!

God says: those that ENDURE to the END, the same shall be saved..... What if a person do not endure to the END? Shall he be saved....NO! To what end? And endure in WHAT? Paul touch the subjest that the BEGINNING is the cross, and the work Jesus did and the water-baptism.... Jesus said...take up your CROSS AND FOLLOW ME!!!!! How can I follow Jesus if He is already IN ME AND MOVING ME.... then it is not me following Him it is Him leading Himself. Not even any person can make sence of that... BUT if we take ALL the Bible, and we see what God teaches we SEE that Jesus leads us to righteousness, and that righteousness will be REWARDED by Father and Jesus coming to LIVE IS US.... Mark 13:13. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
John 14:23...
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
How can I keep Jesus' words when I start my repentance? Is there not a time to GET THE WORDS? How can I love Jesus by keeping His Words if I have NO CLUE what His Words are? But I do know them now, and i find 99% of Christians does not know 1% of His words? How IS THAT? Even Pastors know VERY little about God's Word.

Let us just go up to here.... I ask DO YOU KEEP THE WORDS OF JESUS? Do you keep this sentance? MAtthew 5:48...
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I ask this.... how will it be possible to keep this Word WITHOUT the Holy Spirit in you, and how will it be poosible NOT to keep this Word with the Holy Spirit in you.

Read Acts 8 and see how Samaria got the Spirit. Please note how VISIBLE the change were.... And how COMPLETE the change were... Way after they started believing, they recieved the Spirit. There are MANY places to see how people were BELIEVING and REWARDED with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit....

God teaches this... That we SHALL recieve the Holy Spirit AFTER our sins are FORGIVEN, as long as I do sin I need forgiveness, and the Spirit will not be GIVEN before the sin is DONE AND FORGIVEN... Acts 2:38... REPENT...

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Most people teach you recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit while you still sin, that CANNOT be. God said everyone in Christ is a NEW creature, the OLD IS GONE, and EVERYTHING IS MADE NEW! Let us just go to there, for now!

[SUP] [/SUP]While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. [SUP]45 [/SUP]The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. [SUP]46 [/SUP]For they heard them speaking in tongues[SUP][b][/SUP] and praising God.Then Peter said, [SUP]47 [/SUP]“Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” [SUP]48 [/SUP]So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
Actsw 10:44&45

All those peole had done was hear the message Corbus.

Mark in what did the person ENDURE to be saved?
Corbus, this is so open and shut according to scripture i would not even debate it with you(we have previously anyway)

I can only suggest, you cease your self study, and join a mainline church, and allow yourself to be taught by a minister. No one is infallible with their understanding.
Is there no church you feel you could go to at all?

Abiding there were ADDED unto them about 3000, and they were told TO SAVE THEMSELVES from the others... And then GOD said...... THE LORD ADDED TO THE CHURCH DAILY.... SUCH AS SHOULD BE SAVED..... (He added so that they (MIGHT BE SAVED) Right through the Bible we read of people falling away from the WAY. But the ones that ENDURED ALL THE WAY ARE SAVED!

The added ones are NOT SAVED YET!!!!!! God adds who SHOULD BE saved.

The whle Bible teaches this.... How would a seed knwo if he would produce fruit.... The seed falls on the roadside, and the birds EAT it. It falls on stony ground and shoots roots quickly and grow but then the sun gets hold and they die. others fall in between the weads and the weeds kill them, but some also falls on GOOD soil and they produce fruit...

How would any other seed produce fruit? If God does not let it grow to full strength it would not bear ANY FRUIT. It was the same seed, the same sower, but different CONDITIONS....

Salvation is of God, and it is COMPLETE only when GOD COMPLETES it. AT THE END OF REPENTANCE! As long as you have sin to repent from, you CANNOT recieve the Holy Spirit! Salvation complete, IS THE IMPLANTING OF GOD'S SPIRIT!

Also called BORN OF GOD! Born again.... Yu are not born again when you START REPENTANCE, Christ is BORN into you when YOU AND HE FINISH YOUR REPENTANCE! You have to endure to the END.... THE END OF OLD COBUS! THE ENDOF ALL SIN THE HOLY SPIRIT reproofed you of.

Please do not get this wrong with years of lies.... God finish ALL He start on. Jesus said.... He and the Father will come and make their abide.... Now please just SEE this, and HEAR this...
When Jesus and Father God RESIDES in you, are you holy? Do not their precense in you make you holy and COMPLETE! PERFECT? What work is to be done on perfection? If you change perfection you make it EVIL. But if God works on EVIL HE MAKES IT PERFECT!

Here is the issue of the Spirit in a person.... Jesus says.... Father I want them to be perfectly ONE! And hten Jesus says.... HE IS GLORIFIED IN THEM.... How glorified is Jesus? Can a person that has the glorification of JESUS IN HIM SIN? If the answer is YES Jesus is also a sinner. But the answer is a DEFINATE NO! God says.. those that sin is of the devil. But the ones of HIM CANNOT SIN. Why? Because the GLORY OF JESUS IS IN THEM.... The Holy Spirit is the Golry of Jesus.

God says.. TEST ALL SPIRITS... whether they are from God. The ONLY SPIRIT from God CANNOT SIN! My friends, just go read the Bible. The Bible teaches us NOT TO SIN! The Bible teaches us... BE HOLY (holy is without sin) Be perfect (how perfect? Even as your HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT) And the TOOL that ensures perfection.... THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD!

There is ONLY ONE THAT IS PERFECT, and HE IS PERFECT IN ALL VESSELS HE LIVES IN.... The Holy Spirit of God completes SALVATION IN THE GLORY OF JESUS CHRIST!

This is the ONLY salvation God knows and teaches. NONE other wills stand with 1 John 3:9 or the Holy Spirit of God.

If you sin, you need to be CLEANSED AND SAVED.... ALL SINNERS needs salvation. Even the ones that THINK they are saved.... A SAVED PERSON DOES NOT SIN! Period!

The whole Bible teaches this. I would like to show one more TRUTH to you,
Look what God said here, and I ask this....DOES THIS NEW HEART EVEN HAVE THE CAPACITY TO SIN? If God says that this heart and HIS SPIRIT will casue us to WALK IN HIS STATUTES, can we walk any other road or statutues?

Ezekiel 36:26 and 27....A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
If God casue me to walk in HIS statutes, can I walk anywhere else.... Remember I asked God for this new heart, after HE CALLED ME FOR IT!

At one time jack van impe was said to be the person with the most verses to memory so he knows the word.... The bible instructs us to not talk about men of God... As proven on this chat site Christians perceive or interpret the same passages differently

I agree Todd, if you have ANY questions about the men of God, ASK God about His men! That is what I do, and He wanswers perfecty!

It is also true that when MEN (not holy men) men, read the Bible, they will take on different menaings, but if GOD reveals scripture to one or a thousand, there is only ONE meaning. Mark suggested i go to a church.... how do you determine what church in on the right track? What if you see them ALL wrong!

The Bible teaches us about a church GATHERING, but not even the few people that frequintly talks here on CC can agree on the matter whether women should be quiet in church or not? And the further you go into the Word the more the people are devided. And the Word of God was meant to UNITE!

God's will is that we ALL agree on the Word, something I am very willing to do, because the Word is PERFECT and presise. It is the TWISTING that sperates people. Like Mark and myself... I do not want teh Word twisted. If God says in one verse that a REBORN CANNOT SIN, then it is gospel for me.

I d not try to justify myself as a sinner that the flesh is weak, but still rule in the sin department.... Weak flesh stronger than God's Birth... That is what false teachers preach. God says... CANNOT SIN, becasue he is born of God! I ask. Is flesh still weak with the Spirit of God in it? NOPE!

Unless you die in repentance, and put your flesh to death, the spirit will be void, and will not abode in a still defiled, corrupt, and double minded false convert!

But if it dies, it brings forth much fruit!

Joh 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone; but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.
Joh 12:25 He who loves his life shall lose it. And he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.
These powerful words from the mouth of Jesus Himself sum up in a nutshell, what real repentance unto salvation produces in the contrite sinner seeking reconciliation back to God!
This grain of wheat represents the struggling sinner, coming to self as the prodigal and whole city of Nineveh did, broken through a deep crisis of conviction. This death of the flesh (grain of wheat) must occur through repentance in order for it to bring fourth much fruit!
So death must occur for the grain to grow and produce a good crop, and we must also bear this death of the flesh, in order to walk the holy, sanctified life unto God, pleasing in His sight, ready to grow into the man or woman of God He desires up to be, set free from the bondages of sin, and the love of the world!
But this death comes with a high price, many refuse to pay, because they have bought into satans masterpiece, telling the lost sinner, he doesn’t have to repent, or stop any vile sins, but to just confess, and receive Jesus while their flesh is alive and well, and remains that way until they do this first:
Jas 1:21 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Yes this death MUST occur, or nothing happened, you are still defiled, and sold under sin, Jesus didn’t magically transfer His righteousness and obedience onto you, you cannot transfer another’s persons virtue onto someone else, it’s all about free choice and ability.
You choose to die in repentance (putting to death all sins leading to death) and if this death is real and genuine, then new growth can now take place, with a heart cleansed and purged of all defilement and disobedience to God!
The new convert in Christ, will now be hungry for the truth, and righteousness, dead to the world, and his old life, now alive to the kingdom of God, dead to self, and now alive to the spirit within him!
You must hate your old life that was bent on destruction, full of lust and worldliness, now focused on your new life walking the narrow road with Christ in the lead, showing you the way, as you mimic and follow Him, through the power of the Holy Spirit!
You don’t do it on your own, or in your own power or strength, but IN the power of the spirit, and the word of God that wells up inside of you, as you now can learn and understand it with a clear conscience, filled and being led by the spirit of truth!
So as commanded by God, you must crucify your flesh (die) as the grain of wheat did, then seek the mercy of God, alive and submissive to His command’s, ready to obey Him from a heart of love, devotion, and fear!
Eze 18:31 Cast away (REPENT) from you all your sins by which you have sinned; and make you a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?
This casting away produces death to the old man, now ready to make a new heart and spirit unto the Lord, alive and converted into a true Saint, free from death and condemnation!

John 3:[SUP]7 [/SUP]Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. [SUP]8 [/SUP]The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? [SUP]10 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? [SUP]11 [/SUP]Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. [SUP]12 [/SUP]If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? [SUP]13 [/SUP]And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [SUP]15 [/SUP]That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [SUP]16 [/SUP]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [SUP]18 [/SUP]He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Salvation has always been centered on believing in Him to be born again whereas not believing in Him is how sinners shall find that they were condemned already.

1 John 3:9… Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Please do not edit or twist or add or take away from this verse…. The WHOLE Bible teaches this.
You skipped over this one which happens to be in that same book of 1 John.

1 John 2:1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: [SUP]2 [/SUP]And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

So what was John really talking about here? John was addressing believers that were living in sin as if sin was no longer sin when they do it which is why John defers that errant mentality by how believers ought to walk.

1 John 1:[SUP]4 [/SUP]And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. [SUP]5 [/SUP]This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. [SUP]6 [/SUP]If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: [SUP]7 [/SUP]But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. [SUP]8 [/SUP]If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [SUP]9 [/SUP]If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [SUP]10 [/SUP]If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Note verse 10 above as this was the errant mentality John was reproving and how we walk is key in verses 6 & 7.

John was not testifying that a believer will never sin ever again: but he was testifying that believers can still sin as sin was still sin and that to maintain that fellowship with the Father & the Son is to walk as the Son has walked which was not in darkness. That means sin will not have dominion over a believer's life, but if we sow to the flesh in building on that foundation, then believers will reap corruption and they will be judged according to their works unless they repent.

That continual walking in the light means that the blood of Jesus Christ His Son, cleansing us from all sin is continual, then He may help you to see that believers may slip up from time to time for which the necessity to ask for forgiveness is continual while we live this life down here in this corruptible flesh by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to help us lay aside every weight and sin so we can run that race in living as His disciples to be chosen for the Marriage Supper.

To imply that a believer can never sin again is to force a believer to live a lie as if he has never sinned since he was saved.

But again, to ignore the necessity for repentance from living in sin, would be defrauding a believer of his inheritance in Heaven which will entail a whole lot more than just a loss of rewards of crowns and such, as well as a place at the Marriage Supper in that holy city, but severe punishments as in receiving stripes for not looking to Him for help to depart from iniquity.

Luke 12:[SUP]40 [/SUP]Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. [SUP]41 [/SUP]Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? [SUP]42 [/SUP]And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? [SUP]43 [/SUP]Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. [SUP]44 [/SUP]Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. [SUP]45 [/SUP]But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; [SUP]46 [/SUP]The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. [SUP]47 [/SUP]And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. [SUP]48 [/SUP]But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. [SUP]49 [/SUP]I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

Having been cut asunder and having his portion with the unbelievers is what will happen to believers that are not ready nor prepared by Him to go to the Marriage Supper, but face the hour of trial that shall try all upon the earth when He sends fire. Believers wishing to avoid the stripes, should go before that throne of grace now and trust the Good Shepherd to have them ready.

1 John 5:1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him....[SUP]4 [/SUP]For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [SUP]5 [/SUP]Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

How can I follow Jesus if He is already IN ME AND MOVING ME.... then it is not me following Him it is Him leading Himself. Not even any person can make sence of that... BUT if we take ALL the Bible, and we see what God teaches we SEE that Jesus leads us to righteousness, and that righteousness will be REWARDED by Father and Jesus coming to LIVE IS US.... Mark 13:13. And ye shall be hated of allmenfor my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Thanks for not answering my question, and you are severely wrong about a person receives the Holy Spirit after they reach a certain level of faith.

I only want to learn this from you did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by hearing with faith? (HCSB)Gal 3:2

As a young Christian I daily did my best to rid myself of sin. Eventually one day, I got to my prayer time and thought about my day. I hadn't swore, hurt anyone, deceived anyone, got angry with anyone...I went through all the list of sins I had been struggling with and sat on my bed chuffed with myself that finally I had made it, I had completed a day with no sin. So instead of starting my prayer the usual way, in repentance, I started with " Im so pleased Lord I didnt sin today!" . The Lord gave me the scripture "Be still and know that I am God". The Holy Spirit filled the room and the Lord went over my day in depth with a fine tooth comb...and I mean EVERYTHING. Every word and the heart intent behind it, every thought and the motive behind it. Even if one thing had 10% pride attached to my action or 1% selfishness attached to my action or thought, everything was seen and highlighted in His light and presence. He dissected it into good and sin.

NEVER have I ever had a day without sin BUT my heart every day is to be more like Him changing from glory to glory.

People do not realise how far we have fallen from glory...from that perfection.

YES we can live a life walking WITH the Holy Spirit, feeling His conviction in all we do and choosing to do what is right but if you firmly believe that you are totally without sin and have reached perfection then you need to get into Gods light to see yourself clearer.

The Bible is clear on this. If the Holy Spirit dwells in a person, they are saved, if he doesn't, they are not saved.
So the Spirit enters a persons life at conversion
a polytheist's dream:

Romans 8:9
You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
