There no astronomy in religion people think, But it is, people will look with there eyes and not see and with there ears not hear and with there hearta not get the sense of it, that's what's happening here now on earth.
we worship the heavens which is astro, and the heavens dominate the earth, no one but our creator can control the heavens.
everything we do as Christians something is happening to the light of the world the sun.

If Jesus is as bright as the sun you won't be able to look at him for long unless you want to go blind and damage your eyes.

all are leader like bush and so on they shouldn't be called leaders, they should be called miss leaders.

so Jesus is a metophor for the sun, not the sun a metaphor for Jesus? Think you got it wrong way round there and the the sun was here way before Jesus.

the sun is everywhere in church, everywhere in Jesus pics, we worship on sun day and most Christians are saying the sun as nothing to do with Jesus or Christianity, we celebrate fall when the sun starts its fall down to the winter Solctice.
some do sunrise service that's obvouisly giving service to the sun or it wouldn't be called sun rise service.
i can go on and on for a while showing that most thins Christians do something is happening to the sun.
astropheolgy is very very big in Christianty I've spoke to number of Freemason priest about this and they say I'm surely right.
same again I'm just speaking my mind, speaking calmly and not trying to upset anyone at all and not saying Jesus wasn't real

All things were created through Him, and for Him. Colossians 1:16. and yes the only true light of the world is the Son.

U and o are inchangle in christianty God knows a lot about that, and don't quote verses from bible you have your mind to speak for yourself, the sun does create everything, without the sun there would be no crops that means no food, there would be no trees, no rain to grown are grapes and make wine, there would be no light in the world with out the sun.

did you no on the pass over the sun is passing over the equator,?? and on fall the sun is falling to the winter solstice??

if Jesus is million times brighter than the sun do you think you could look at him with out harming your eyes and causing yourself pain, here again I'm not saying Jesus is not a real man I'm just saying that the sun does all the things people say Jesus does and everything we celebrate something christanity wise there's always something happening to the sun.
the heavens dominate the earth we worship the heavens, the heavens is astro. Every holy picture you see the sun and astro.
thanks for listening to my point of view and thanks for giving me your point of view, we can only get somewhere by communicating with each other like it says in the bible.

Well, the bible does say He dwells in unapproachable light BUT, when born again we are one with Him, He dwells within us so therefore at His coming we can look at Him because we are of that same light.
You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matt 5:14

that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.
John 17:21

And those 'religious' figures mean nothing, they dumb down who Jesus truly is.

There are no pictures of Jesus in the bible. We do not form our knowledge of Christ based on the artistic representations of men's imaginations and creations of their hands.

In the new earth there will be no sun. The Lamb of God will be the Light and there will be no darkness for all of eternity. The Jesus I know has nail prints in His hands and His feet. My Jesus has the marks upon His brow where they beat the crown of thorns on His head. My Jesus has a side that was pierced by a sword for my sins. My Jesus now is clothed is righteousness and His feet burn as with fire.

Form your theology from the bible not artistic representations.

For the cause of Christ

Jesus Christ is the creator of the world. He is God. That's what christians believe and confess whether you, Dean, like it or not.

Now, the light of the world is Jesus. His light did hurt the three apostles who witnessed the transfiguration of Jesus Christ.

The light of God is different from the light of the sun. The light of God is also called "unapproachable light" because His light is not of this world. His light is uncreated. The light of the sun is created.

I haven't seen the light. Few monks (among whom St. Gregory of Palama) saw it and talked about it. He (Gr. of Palama) called God's grace: 'uncreated energy'. This is why I believe the light of the sun and the light of God are different.

And those priests are leading you to hell. They don't know God at all if they believe that, those wolves in sheeps clothing.

Colossians 13-20
13He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. The Preeminence of Christ
15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16For by[SUP]f[/SUP] him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

He is the Almighty, before all things. He has nothing to do with paganistic, celestial worship - these things are what replaced the worship and adoration of the One True God thousands of years ago as men spread across the earth.

Romans 1:20
20For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,[SUP]g[/SUP] in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Jesus, pictured here by you as the light of the world is a metaphor. The physical light of the world is obviously the Sun, and without it most of us would not survive more than a few days on this world. If asked which one I would be most willing to do without the answer would be clear. We need the Sun!

Where in church do you see the sun symbol?

Dean said:

The priest is correct. When we say Jesus is the light of the world we are using light as a metaphor. Just as light is everywhere, so this metaphor implies that Jesus' presence is everywhere and those qualities associated with him then, are also everywhere to be found.

I am curious Dean. When you say "I see things a little different that's all..." do you mean something in particular by this?

You should study more.....The bible states clearly concerning Jesus.....ALL things were created BY HIM and for HIM<---go look that verse up and understand a little bit more before you make such a bold statement...It also states that HE (Jesus) uphold ALL THINGS by the word of his POWER!
