There are scriptures where God is speaking directly which is why scripture will be in red, sometimes blue and will have "thus saith the Lord". The rest of scriptures is inspired by the Holy Spirit, but is still man speaking through the Holy Spirit.

God wrote and spoke the Ten Commandments personally. He did not leave it up to man to write His holy and perfect law that all man will be judged by Mat 5:19-30 James 2:10-12 Ecc 12:13-14 Rev 22:14-15. In order to have a fair judgement- one would have to have a law to judge by.

We are told in scripture to live by every Word the proceeds from the mouth of God. Mat 4:4
Nope. It's not men speaking through the Spirit. It is the Spirit speaking through men.

All scripture is equally authoritative.

Yeah, I got that backward, that's what I meant.

All scripture is inspired, but we are told to live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Mat 4:4 Man is not equal to God. Paul never had authority over Christ as many teach. Paul was a servant of Christ Romans 1:1-2 meaning He served Christ. He never taught something different than Christ- which is why his writing although inspired by the Holy Spirit is hard to understand that many twist out of context to their own destruction 2 Peter 3:16. When one takes the misunderstood writings of a man- over the plain teaching of Jesus our Lord and Savior who is the WAY- Words we are to live by, its a choice one can make, but not a wise one.

Take care. :)

You don't understand biblical inspiration. It's all from God's mouth.

Hi there,

Thanks for the verses. I have prayed over them and all of scripture and I would also like to suggest for you to do the same especially when God is speaking directly.

Friend, you're looking at the Sabbath from the wrong way. I would be more concerned where is the commandment by God, that abrogates the 4th commandment. Only God can reverse His blessing Num 23:20 and nowhere in all of God's Word says we can profane God's holy Sabbath thus saith the Lord. All of the thus saith the Lord's regarding the Sabbath (and there are many) are for us to keep and not profane. Please point out one scripture where God says we don't have to keep the Sabbath. You keep pointing to Paul's writings but forget he is not above God, he is a servant of God Rom 1:1 and is very hard to understand which is why his writings come with a warning that people twist to their own destruction 2 Peter 3:16 which is what people do when they take the words of Paul over the pain words of Christ.

In God's New Covenant- He writes His laws in our hearts. Heb 8:10

This is God's Covenant

Deut 4:13 So He (God) declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.

Exo 34:28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He (God) wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.

God wrote Ten Commandments, not nine, He numbered them by design and added the word "Remember" because He knew man would forget His Sabbath.

Did Jesus teach something different.

No, very clearly He said He did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill- meaning live out, not end if reading this passage in context. Not one jot or tittle can be changed because NO ONE is above the Authority of God, not even Paul, which is why Paul kept every Sabbath after the Cross because Paul was a servant of Christ, who loved Him and wants to join himself to Christ, just like Christ calls to everyone which He blesses and sanctifies when we keep His Sabbath Isa 56:1-6 Isa 58:13-14 Eze 20:12 because it shows we are serving the One True God Eze 20:20 Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man and the world here means mankind Mark 2:27. Jesus taught not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments quoting directly from the Ten and I do not believe the one commandment God said "Remember" that God blessed, sanctified and made holy is a "least" commandment, but even if so, Jesus said not to break and in doing so one would be least in heaven and if you read the next verse Mat 5:20 least does not mean one will be there. Jesus taught when we keep our rules over the commandments of God quoting right from the Ten (NT teaching you break one you break them all James 2:10-12) ones heart is far from Him, and one ends up in a ditch Mat 15:3-14 which is off the narrow path.

God's people keep God's commandments Rev 14:12 the Sabbath is a commandment of God and the one commandment that shows God's Authority over all heaven and earth Exo 20:11 and why the devil has been attacking it for centuries. We can follow man and profane His Sabbath or be part of the remnant who keep God's commandments Rev 12:17 through faith and love. John 14:15 Exo 20:6 1 John 5:3

It's why the Sabbath rest (commandment) remains for God's people. Heb 4:9

The word rest in the verse literally translates into Sabbath keeping

sabbatismos: a sabbath rest
Original Word: σαββατισμός, οῦ, ὁ
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: sabbatismos
Phonetic Spelling: (sab-bat-is-mos')
Definition: a sabbath rest
Usage: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest.
And you are not listening. There is another Sabbatarian poster on another forum who posts endlessly a ton of verses in the desire to debate the Sabbath even when I tell them I don’t want to do so according to Titus 3:9. I said I will not debate with you. I have heard all the arguments and they don't measure up. There are no verses after the cross that commands us to keep the Sabbath, and Colossians 2:14-17 makes it clear we are not to let others judge us according Sabbaths. So you have to argue against Colossians 2:14-17, and argue from a position of silence. You see the word “commands” in the NT (after the cross), and you automatically believe this must include the Sabbath or it is talking about the Sabbath. This is just silly to me. I am not interested in your Sabbath day keeping belief. It’s contrary to Scripture. I believe the case I made (Although not exhaustive) is sufficient to debunk your belief on this matter. I am not going to strive over matters of the Law.

Peace and blessings be unto you.

All scripture is inspired.

God writing and speaking is above man. Otherwise if it was all the same we would not have the warning in scriptures regarding Paul's writing, that he is hard to understand. 2 Peter 3:16 because those are Paul's words ,inspired by the Holy Spirit. Inspired is the not the same as God personally doing.

But you haven't made your case, you just repeated the same errors, that context was provided. Jesus in His own Words said to teach each other the commandments quoting from the Ten Mat 5:19 but not everyone has an ear to listen so will leave it as agree to disagree and all gets sorted out soon enough. I do wish you well in seeking Truth to God's Word.

Sure, God's voice is above man's voice. But all scripture is God's voice...God-breathed, directly from God's mouth.

Perhaps I'm not the one who doesn't understand the difference between inspired and God speaking and doing.

To give you an illustration- A CEO can give his manager a message to give to the staff. While the message came from the CEO it came through his manager. So would still have the flavor of his manager and not the CEO. If the CEO spoke directly to his staff, that is different than his manager speaking.

God personally doing and speaking is above man, its no longer inspired it is God, who is above man.

God's Word we are to live by Mat 4:4 Paul's teachings are hard to understand that sadly people twist and believe over the Words of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the WAY, not Paul. Paul is a servant of Jesus Christ meaning he serves Christ, not above.

I will make one more attempt and if you don't get it, I am moving on.

You posted Mark 2:27, but the whole point of this verse was to show the Jews that they were over-emphasizing the importance of the Sabbath beyond its original intent whereby Jesus had to tell them man was not created for the Sabbath. The Sabbath was created for man for his benefit in that it gave him a day of rest. But man was not made for the Sabbath. So here we see Jesus even before the cross starting to give us a lesson on how the Sabbath is not the most important thing like it was to the Jews. This to me shows that the Sabbath was fading away (Especially in light of many other verses). If the Sabbath was as important as you suggest, then the New Testament would only give us lessons of its importance and requirement, but I do not see any such thing even before the cross. I see the exact opposite. Yes, the Sabbath was still in effect before the cross, but I believe it was fading away (Which would end officially with Christ's death who is our true rest).

Jesus was making changes to the Law (even before the New Covenant went officially into effect with His death). For Jesus was primarily teaching New Covenant teachings and not Old Covenant teachings during His earthly ministry.

How so?

Jesus was making changes to the Law (even before the cross):
(Which means He was not teaching primarily Old Covenant, but New Covenant):

The Old Way says:
"Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth"
(Matthew 5:38 cf. Exodus 21:23-25).

The New Way (by Jesus) says:
"But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also." (Matthew 5:39).

The Old Way says:
"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment" (Matthew 5:21 cf. Numbers 35:30-32).

The New Way (by Jesus) says:
"But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire." (Matthew 5:22).

The Old Way says:
"Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:" (Matthew 5:34 cf. Numbers 30:1-2, Deuteronomy 23:21).

The New Way (by Jesus) says:
34 "But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil." (Matthew 5:34-37).

The Old Way says:
"And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant." (Psalms 143:12).

"And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent." (Joshua 6:17).

"And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword." (Joshua 6:21).

16 "But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee" (Deuteronomy 20:16-17).

"They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them" (Psalms 106:34).

The New Way (by Jesus) says:
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" (Matthew 5:44).

Note: Yes, I am aware that the Old Way (Old Testament) also teaches to love one's enemies (Exodus 23:4-5) (Proverbs 25:21), but this was in context to their Israelite people and not pagan nations. Pagan nations were to be destroyed when God commanded the Israelites to destroy them. But Jesus taught in a radically different way. Love your enemies, and do good to them that hate you, and pray for those who persecute you.

The Old Way says:
20 "But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel." (Deuteronomy 22:20-22).

4 "They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?" (John 8:4-5).

The New Way (by Jesus) says:
"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. " (John 8:7).

Even after the cross, there were changes being made:

The Old Covenant says this about circumcision:
"And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant." (Genesis 17:14).

Yet, the New Covenant says this about circumcision:
"Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing."
(Galatians 5:2).

The Old Covenant says this about the Sabbath:
32 "And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses." (Numbers 15:32-36).

Yet, the New Covenant says this about the Sabbath:
"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" (Colossians 2:16).

So it appears things have changed.

This makes sense because again, Hebrews 7:12 says the Law has changed.

"For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law."
(Hebrews 7:12).

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
(John 1:17).

Jesus said,
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." (Matthew 5:17).

Jesus came not to abolish the Law (in the sense of destroying all forms of Law), but Jesus came to fulfill the Law (i.e. to nail to the cross those ordinances that were against us [like the Old Covenant ceremonial laws], and Jesus came to give us a more fulfilled and perfect way of obeying God via the commands that come directly from Him and His followers). For Jesus offered a more perfect way of loving God and loving our neighbor (Which of course is only possible if we are first saved by God's grace through faith).

(Continued in next post).

The Old Law is No More - The Law Has Changed

Verses Showing How The Old Law is No More:
2 Corinthians 3:7-11, 2 Corinthians 3:14, Romans 7:4, Romans 7:6, Colossians 2:14, Colossians 2:16-17, Colossians 2:20-23, Ephesians 2:15, Hebrews 7:18, Hebrews 8:13, Hebrews 9:9-10, Hebrews 9:15, Hebrews 9:16-17, Hebrews 10:8-9, Matthew 26:27-28, Matthew 27:50-51, Acts of the Apostles 15:1, Acts of the Apostles 15:5, Acts of the Apostles 15:24.

God’s laws can be broken up into three major categories.
  1. Moral Laws (Any Law pertaining to doing good as a part of nature).
  2. Ceremonial Laws (Laws pertaining to ceremonies or rituals).
  3. Civil Laws (Laws dealing with civil matters; Which includes Laws on carrying out justice).
God's moral laws came into existence for man and would forever exist for him after the Fall of Adam and Eve (after they received the knowledge of good and evil). A Moral Law is any law telling you to do good without a specific law telling you that such a thing is so (See Romans 2:14). These moral laws existed before the Law of Moses.

In the New Covenant (or New Testament) these Moral Laws (like: “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” Do not covet,” “Do not commit adultery,” etc.) are repeated from out of the 613 laws within the Law of Moses and they still are in effect (i.e. They have been carried over into the New Testament). However, the Old Testament Law of Moses as a whole or package deal is no more (contractually speaking). Ceremonial Laws or commands: Things like the commands on circumcision, animal sacrifices, the Saturday Sabbath, dietary etc. are no longer binding under the New Covenant. This is because the written Law given to Israel is no longer in effect (as a whole). How so?

Here are a list of verses (showing us the Old Law is no more):

"When God speaks of a "new" covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear." (Hebrews 8:13) (NLT).

”Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.” (Romans 7:4).

"But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter." (Romans 7:6).

"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;" (Colossians 2:14).

20 "Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using; ) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh."
(Colossians 2:20-23).

“By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] the Law with its decrees and ordinances [which He annulled]; that He from the two might create in Himself one new man [one new quality of humanity out of the two], so making peace.” (Ephesians 2:15) (AMPC).

"The old [former] rule [commandment; regulation] is now set aside [nullified; abolished], because it was weak and useless [ineffective]." (Hebrews 7:18) (EXB).

9 “Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.” (Hebrews 9:9-10).

16 “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.” (Hebrews 9:16-17).

”And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament…” (Hebrews 9:15).

27 “And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Matthew 26:27-28).

50 “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; “ (Matthew 27:20-51).

8 “Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.” (Hebrews 10:8-9).

“And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.” (Acts of the Apostles 15:1).

“But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.” (Acts of the Apostles 15:5).

“Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment” (Acts of the Apostles 15:24).

28 "For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well." (Acts of the Apostles 15:28-29).

7 "But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious." (2 Corinthians 3:7-11).

“But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 3:14).

(Colossians 2:20-23).

(Continued in next post):
Sadly many Christians cling to Col 2:16 without carefully studying the context or how it relates to the teachings of Jesus. If one did it is obviously it is not about the weekly Sabbath that is a commandment of God. I see you didn't read my post, but I do hope you will consider reading it and read the scriptures, because those who do not come to the truth with be condemned. John 3:18-20 and all of God's commandments are Truth Psa 119:151 and righteous Psa 119:172. Many Christians today depend on their own righteousness and truth, not God's.

I will show you through scripture what the substance that is no longer binding since Christ came.

First, we need to understand what sin is as that is what our salvation is from. We are saved from sin, not in sin. Mat 1:21

Sin is the transgression of God's law 1 John 3:4 and Paul points right to the Ten Commandments to define sin. In scripture when they list one commandment, it means them all James 2:10-12 just like when only one of the greatest commandment is mentioned it means both.

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” Only found in the Ten Commandments Exo 20

If we break one commandment, we break them all even in the New Covenant.

James 2:10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty

So sin is breaking God's Ten Commandments and it is what we will be judged by- breaking one we break them all. Jesus in His own Words said the same thing telling us not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments quoting from the Ten and in doing so one would be in fear of sin and judgement. Mat 5:19-30

Without God's law there is no sin Rom 4:15 which is why it was sin for Cain to murder Abel because God gave him His law of thou shalt not murder- breaking one you break them all as God wrote Ten Commandments- He was very clear on that and added no more after. Deut 4:13 Exo 34:28 Deut 4:22

I can also prove to you the Ten Commandments are in heaven under His mercy seat where justice and mercy will come together. I would not want to remove anything from under His mercy seat because we won't be covered. If you want I can share scriptures that prove this, but I'll move on to Col 2:14-17. Christians start at 2:16 because they don't want to reconcile Paul's words that we are warned are hard to understand and lead many people to destruction, but at the end it will only hurt those who choose not to come to the light on God's Truth.

There is more than on sabbath in scripture. Paul was very careful to provide the details on the sabbath(s) he was referring to which was not the weekly Sabbath that is a commandment of God, written by God's own finger that is holy and blessed. The opposite of the context Paul provided.

It is the annual sabbaths contained in ordinances that were handwritten that have to do with food and drink and holy days which some are also called sabbath(s) that were given after the fall of man written by Moses placed on the outside of the ark as a witness against. This is the context. The weekly Sabbath was placed inside the ark Exo 40:20 and is the only commandment that reveals our Creator and points us back to Creation before sin entered so is not a shadow of anything. Not contrary or against. Not handwritten by Moses. The weekly Sabbath is not nailed to the cross, the apostles kept every Sabbath as they were servants of God and God's people keep God's commandments. Rev 14:12

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

If we look at verse 17 scripture tells us what this points to

Col 2:17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

Please read carefully because this tells us exactly what it points to the context of Col 2:14-17

Hebrews 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”
8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, [b]O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10 By that will we have been [c]sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

What was taken away at the Cross? Animal sacrifices for sin. They always pointed forward to Christ whose blood can take away the sins of the world. So now in the New Covenant instead of bringing an animal offering for sin we have Jesus who is our High Priest and Advocate who we can go to when we sin and repent which means a change of heart and direction. It's why the New Covenant is established on better promises, not better laws because God's law is perfect for converting the soul Psa 19:7 because God is perfect- He could not personally write an imperfect law. It's why its still a sin in the NC to break the least of these commandments Mat 5:19-30 breaking one is like breaking them all James 2:10-12 and why there is no scripture that says the Sabbath commandment has been abrogated. It was predicted the Sabbath would be changed Dan 7:25 but not by God. Sadly there is only a remnant left who keep God's commandment Rev 12:17 God is calling us out of our false teachings Rev 18:4 because He is coming back soon. The Sabbath shows we are worshipping the true God Eze 20:20, the only God who has the power to sanctify us Eze 20:12 the only God who has the power to create heaven and earth Exo 20:11 and the same God of our Judgement Rev 14:12

We don't get to choose what is moral or righteous, that is up to God. God deems all His commandments righteous Psa 119:172 and Truth Psa 119:105 and God's righteousness does not change and either does God's Sabbath Isa 56:1-6 Isa 66:22-23 that He said was made for us to bless and sanctify Eze 20:12. I would consider the warning Jesus gives in Mat 5:19 as we will be responsible for our teachings.

I pray you consider these scriptures in prayer.

Other points to consider why the Sabbath is no more:

#1. No Sabbath day commands were given to believers after the cross. Even before the cross, no such command was given (Although we do see that was in affect before the cross but it was fading away because Jesus was making points that it was not as important as the Jews made it out to be).

#2. There are no Sabbath day breaking sins listed along other sins. There are plenty of opportunities for the Scriptures to do this and it simply is not listed in the New Testament.

#3. In Acts 15, Gentile Christians are said that they do not have to be circumcised and keep the Law. Only certain laws were mentioned and the Sabbath was not among them. If the Sabbath is as important as Sabbatarian Christians say, it should have been the first thing mentioned.

#4. Christians gathered on the first day of the week (Sunday) and not the Sabbath. While I believe Jesus was resurrected on the weekly Sabbath (Saturday), His resurrection was not discovered until Sunday and He told Mary he still needed to ascend to His Father. So Jesus' mission was not complete yet. He had to rise to the Father and enter the temple by His blood so as to be our Heavenly High Priest. This would have been on a Sunday or the first day of the week.

#5. Colossians 2:16 plainly says that we are not to let others judge us according to Sabbaths (Which would naturally include the weekly Sabbath). Sabbatarian Christians try to say that this was in reference to the other Sabbaths and not the weekly Sabbath even when such a distinction is not made here in the text. It means what it says.

#6. There are many verses that talk about how we are not under the Law (i.e. the Old Law). Paul says, "To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law." (1 Corinthians 9:21). So Christians are not lawless. They are under the laws or commands of Christ that exist in the New Testament, and not the Old Testament. Granted, the law is good if one uses it lawfully (1 Timothy 1:8), which is what we see in Acts 15 when the Gentile Christians were encouraged to keep certain Laws.

#7. Paul says, "...how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain." (Galatians 4:9-11). Paul says he is afraid for those Galatian believers who keep days, months, and years. He says they have returend back again into bondage to these things.

Side Note:

Yes, the existence of the Sabbath day appears to be mentioned in the future, but this is in context to the Jews and it does not mean that the command still exists. The Sabbath day can still exist as a calendar day with the Sabbath day command no longer being applicable. It's not a contradiction. Also, this would still be a weak argument to argue for the keeping of the Sabbath. It is not a command. No command exists for keeping the Sabbath in the New Testament.

Sure, God's voice is above man's voice. But all scripture is God's voice...God-breathed, directly from God's mouth.
You don't understand biblical inspiration. God puts His word in His servant's mouths.
look in Job, job's friends speaking about jobs condition, it is in the bible, is scripture but is not inspired. GOD. rebuked them. most but not all writings in the bible is inspired. you have to use discernment.

You are doing quick drive by shotgun replies. You are not interested in taking time to slow down and read the verses and consider the truth that you may be wrong on this matter. You are just replying back with your Sabbatarian teaching and not considering what I stated with Scripture. Again, this is another reason why I don't debate on these kinds of matters. I made my case, and I am moving on. What is I said is sufficient to debunk the idea that we have to keep the Saturday Sabbath.

May God bless you.

Hebrews 7:12 says the law has changed. I am all for keeping His commandments. But this is the New Testament commands and not the Old laws that came through Moses. I have already gave a list of how the Old Law has ended. We are under the many laws or commands of Christ now. You will not find any verse in the New Testament commanding you to keep the Sabbath, and Colossians 2:16 is saying we are not to let others judge us according to Sabbaths (Which would include the weekly Sabbath). In Acts 15, that would have been a great time to bring up how Gentiles need to keep the Sabbath. Not sure if you read Acts 15 lately, but it says that Gentile Christians do not have to be circumcised and they do not have to keep the Laws of Moses. Obviously the Sabbath is tied to the Laws of Moses and not the Laws given to us under the New Covenant (i.e., New Testament).

Paul also says we are not under the Law (Romans 6:14). This is obviously in reference to the Old law and not the Laws of Christ. To believe in Jesus is even a command (1 John 3:23), and it would be a part of the Laws of Christ.

I have considered what you stated and not one verse says the Sabbath commandment has been abrogated by God. Only He can reverse His blessing, not man. Num 23:20 Christ teaches in His own Words tells us those who serve Him and want to join themselves to Him do not defile His Sabbath and He brings them to His holy mountain heaven Isa 56:1-7 where the Sabbath continues for eternity Isa 66:22-23. Sorry I am sticking with God's Word, but we are given free will.
