It would probably be the same place where the Church is-- powerful and living....rather than weak and dying.

A lot of people seem to be making the strawman argument of "Well we can't just do nothing!" A Christian should seldom just be sitting with his hands in his pockets. Could you imagine where this country would be if we threw down our arms and just got together and fasted and prayed to the Lord?

If you have never even thought about this then you need to take some time to repent and consider your ways. Christianity isn't meant to be self-sustainable. If it was, then Christianity would have been wiped out during its early persecution. God is the great sustainer of Christianity.
How is it that a person can be for country And God at the same time, they don't mix, stop pledging yourself to the nations and pledge to God only, you can't serve two masters.. (Mt 6:24)

SOILDERS ARE GOATS NOT SHEEP-LIKE ONES

Bible does not support it at all we are of a new covenant with God not of the old as isreal was and people that were in the military, when jesus spoke to them some converted but did not go back into the military. You have one Job as a human Preach the kingdom news not wage war with flesh and blood. who ever live by the sword will die by the sword no buts my freinds.

(Matthew 26:52) Then Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take up the sword will perish by the sword

If Jesus thought it was OK to take up arms he would have not condone his disciple for drawing up is sword against his fellow man, our weapon is the bible, use it not to draw blood but show love, if you cant love your enemy then you cant love God.

I agree with some of what you have to say,
but you go too far as to call all soldiers "goats".

I hope you are not in that despicable cult who holds up signs at soldiers funerals, yelling at their families that God hated their son or brother, and that all soldiers go to hell.

What of those who were drafted? We're they not called to submit to authority?

I agree that we as Christians are called away from freshly combat, and unto spiritual combat,
but to damn all of those who have gone to war, is going too far.

People tend to hyper-extend that submit to authority verse. Chinese believers are saying that abortion is okay because the government commands it if you have more than one child. Americans are basically saying anything is okay as long as the government makes you do it, gives you a uniform, or etc.

Folks, you are supposed to obey God first. Even if President Obama personally comes to your house with the Senate and Congress following him and then proceeds to command you to do something--if it is against Scripture, you are to tell him no.

Many in our society have been deceived into thinking that putting on a uniform and getting a commission from an earthly government gives you a reprieve from your heavenly Creator.

So what happens if you are drafted? I suppose the same thing that happens when the early Christians were drafted to sacrifice to idols. You either run for the hills or you get into a pretty deep mess. God isn't calling us to comfort or to an easily life. The road to Jesus is filled with tribulation. Do not deceive yourselves or be deceived, the easy road is seldom the right one.

Amen to that! People need to wake up and realize that most "first world" countries today are marching in lockstep to an agenda that will bring forth antichrist.
