It is amazing how the same objections to God's Word keep being posted by a bunch of men who make ungodly posts on this site, denying the Gospel, trying to reduce the Savior to a chance-giver.
Let them give heed to Galatians 1

3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father: 5 to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

6 I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from him that called you in the grace of Christ unto a different gospel; 7 which is not another gospel: only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema. 9 As we have said before, so say I now again, If any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema.

The gospel is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, & you shall be saved. It is not maybe, but shall be. Believe is the only MUST I DO in scripture for salvation.

And salvation includes eternal life.
I give them eternal life & they shall never perish.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people form their sins. Christ endures to the end as Savior. He is no mere "chance-giver."

The old canard about "He who endures to the end, the same shall be saved":

This is from Mat 24 where it says nothing about losing salvation nor about what happens to those who don't endure to the end.

Salvation is about
the Lord Jesus, our Savior, saving a wretched sinner, giving HIm a new nature, putting him into God's family with eternal life.

Mat 24 is about
men in the tribulation period who will be saved from their physical troubles (like persecution) if they endure until the Coming of Christ to set up His Kingdom of earth.

But as a matter of fact, the doctrine of eternal security is precisely that those who trust Christ as Savior do endure to the end, by the power of God.

He Who began a good work will complete it!

I them eternal life & they shall never perish.

Jesus Christ is the author & perfecter of our faith.

Shame on those who deny the good news, how we have this Savior who gives believers eternal life, those who would reduce Him from Savior to mere chance-giver.

Shame on the idea that God who loves His children, having sent His own Son to the cross to pay for their sins, having promised them eternal life & that they should not perish -- shame on the idea that such a God would take His children and roast them in the Lake of Fire forever.

If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth; 34 who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 Even as it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There must be many who fall away from grace.
They are taught
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, not of works lest anyone should boast.

Yet they trust not the Savior and fall away from the grace they were taught. They are like dogs chasing a Butcher Shop truck, barking at it, but never getting in.

It is a LOT more complicated than that. Those who prattle on about the truth that you are posting, the heart of scripture you post, usually add that this means that anything else that is of God must be eliminated, that faith in salvation must include getting rid of anything else God says. They will say to get rid of law if you believe in salvation and quote over and over that law saves no one, a truth. But along with that comes that we are to lose all faith in God's word if it include law, just pick out any of His word that applies to salvation. So they make even the salvation in Christ hard to come by. They lose all the power in God as they reach for this salvation that God wants for them. They say to get rid of all works for the Lord, all walking in the ways of the Lord. So those who work for salvation are often working, truly for salvation, but some of those working toward salvation through Christ are using that to sabotage salvation.

Apostasy is a reality. There are those who profess to be Christians, but deny Him and leave the group they affiliated with humanly. They may walk an aisle somewhere and get put on a church role, but they were never put into the Body of Christ, the work of the HOly Spirit, as they never had trusted Christ as Savior, even if they fooled a pastor & some deacons.

Apostates are described in Hebrews 6:4-9 as well as in 1 JOhn 2:

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they all are not of us.

The fact that they left shows they were not ever saved, never part of the Body of Christ, never "of us."

For note that the eternal security of those in the Body of Christ is boldly asserted in 1 John 2:

"if they had been of us, they would have continued with us."

All who are believers are baptized into the Body of Christ (1 Cor 12:13). All who are thus "of us" continue. All who are saved endure.

Where does scripture say that? YOu add to God's Word. Those who are taught grace and refuse it, fall away from grace. You read into "fall from grace" the words "lose salvation," though neither lose nor salvation occurs there.

There are a number of posters where who appear to fit this description:

"ye who would be justified by the law; ye are fallen away from grace."

They are like dogs who chased the butcher shop van, but never got in.

Twist not the word of God.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
1 John 5:10-13
Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.

For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,

Actually the gospel is quite simple, and if you don't accept it as a child & trust Christ as Savior (supposing HIm a mere chance-giver), you must end in the Lake of Fire.

The Gospel is as simple as this:

Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, & you shall be saved.

To any denying the Savior & making Him a mere chance-giver, repent & put your whole trust in the Savior, depend on Him completely for your eternal destiny

His will is that you take the place of the Publican, God be merciful to me a sinner, & trust the Lord Jesus with your life & destiny. You must obey the gospel. He has told you that you are a sinner, one of the none who does good. Now mock Him not with pretended self-righteousness.

Christ is the giver of eternal life, you can no more save yourself than lift yourself by your own boot straps.

He was saying in Gal 5:1-3 that if you, my brothers, wish to be justified by law, then you have fallen from that grace. So, he commanded them to stand firm in the liberty from Christ and do not be held under the yoke of bondage. But nevertheless, if you want to be under that bondage, then you have fallen from grace.

Abiding in Christ (John 15) has nothing to do with being saved. Neither "save" nor "salvation" occurs in John 15. The issue is fellowship with the Lord Jesus, not salvation.

It is amazing how persons who cannot trust Christ as Savior want to go on about this or that, where salvation is not even the subject.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ & you shall be saved.
No ifs, ands, or buts.

Give up your self-righteous pride;
Depend on you only hope, the Lord Jesus.

Is this not God's will as He commanded us while in the flesh: Love God and others? If yes, then what does love fulfill? Does it not fulfill God's known will?

Christ endures in His saving of His people.
"Thou shalt call His name Jesus,
for
He shall save His people from their sins."
You will hear no argument from me about that. Amen. But the question was: if it is not us who must endure until the end but Jesus, then would it not be Jesus who would be receiving everlasting life, although He is the giver of everlasting life to those who endured?

Christ is the giver of eternal life, you can no more save yourself than lift yourself by your own boot straps.
Correct, I cannot save myself with fleshly works. But, a faith without works is dead. If God's will is to love, then I shall love. By which love, I fulfill His Will, that which He spoke concerning what He desires His followers to do and that is to be righteous, accomplish no evil (harm). Our walk before God is not a sinful one, but one which is pleasing to Him.

Show me how you can be save by not abiding in Christ...show me how we can be saved outside fellowship with Christ...You are saying you can be saved without Christ..."your quote... Abiding in Christ (John 15) has nothing to do with being saved" The scripture says we are baptised into Christ....So you are baptised into Christ then you jump out of Christ because abiding in him has nothing to do with being saved according to the gospel of Atwood.

Read and learn salvation is in Christ....
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 Timothy 2:10
Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Have you ever ventured to Bible Hub? They have a great commentary section that allows you to scroll through scriptures and read different commentary on text.
(John 15)

True. I think it is the Lord working to cause those who denounce eternal salvation so that they demonstrate to others how desperate they are to come to the truth. Despite their protestations that Christ's redemption of their souls, forgiveness of their sins, eternal salvation/life, is all temporary and conditional and dependent on their own behaviors.

It isn't true. Doesn't make sense. Isn't supported by scripture. But all the while they still argue from a self-righteous hypocrisy.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ & you shall be saved.
No ifs, ands, or buts.
Eternally saved.

Give up your self-righteous pride;

Ever wonder how many will come to Christ? Instead of thinking his message regarding eternal salvation rests solely on them?

Most OSAS people have faith in their works just like the Pharisee's who thought that they were good because they were Abraham's sons. Boy were they wrong.

Re: Roman 8; Who but a Blind Man Wud Not See Eternal Security Here?

Skinski, to use your own words:

You are forced to defend the notion that it is permissible for a
man to deny that Christ is Savior (reducing Him to mere chance-giver) and to distrust Christ to get Him to Heaven. That is a sinful POV of disbelief. It is not permissible.
You are forced to defend the notion that such an unbeliever should not invest in asbestos underwear.

I don't need to defend God's word; God's word defends me: "My sheep . . . I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish."

I don't need to defend
"Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins."

it is permissible for a Christian to rape babies and murder people from time to time.
Straw man argument, Skinski. You can stop making up things I never said and then claiming that that is my position. And it is absurd to think that trusting Christ as effective Savior would result in wicked behavior. Your failing to trust Christ will only promote your own sin.

Jesus came to save people from sin
So then why do you deny that He saves His people from their sin?

As a sinner, Skinski, what do you have against the Savior saving you?

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, not of works lest anyone should boast.

He Who began a good work in you will complete it.

But you have to become a you for that promise to work.

Scriptures remind us that faith without works is dead.

While there is no scripture that tells us we can work our way into Heaven.

Kerry where is your proof of that one? satan is the accuser of the brethren. To believe in eternal security goes with faith in the Savior who promised eternal life. To disbelieve in eternal security is to deny that Christ is the Savior & reduce Him to chance-giver. Thou shalt not bear false witness.
