only Yahweh can say for sure, personally I always pray "if its your will Father" sometimes I forget because im slow, but I dont want to ask anything thats not His will.
This verses was pointed out to me some years ago:

It isn't! It's the right state of heart. But there are things that one must do to be perfect, that is, to do real miracles, to become a "Son of man", what a human was meant to be able to do. Heal, walk on water, and so on.
You can have the heart, but you gotta back it up in the flesh.[SUP]

You have to sell all that you own, give it to the poor, take off walking barefoot with no money, no survival supplies, and ask nobody for anything, not even insinuate need. So that your faith, and the hearts of those who see you will be tested. Someone will see you barefoot and freezing, and having had their heart tested, offer you shoes, a warm coat, food, a bed for the night, and so on. The worker is worthy of these minimum wages.
But you can't walk out on your moral and family responsibilities, those, you must wait to be taken out of the way.
Nobody has truly given up family for Jesus. But He will come like a thief.
You really owe that mortgage and child support, get ready for foreclosure and an ex-wife that flees with your child.

Coming out of Babylon and Egypt and living on nothing but faith.
NO MATERIAL POSSESSIONS WHATSOEVER except the humblest of clothes to cover your nakedness, and two swords, a bible and a swiss army knife.
It's hardcore.

Everyone else is gonna be alright.
Then came "God calls me beautiful" preaching in the wilderness, wearing sackcloth and eating grasshoppers.
And said, soon, I will become something I don't deserve to be.

He carried His cross and was crucified long before they put a log on His shoulder and physically killed Him.

We should ALWAYS pray that God's will be done no matter what we feel. Sometimes His answers are not our desires, and He alone knows the desires of our hearts. Maybe in the case of the cancer, It was this persons time to go home. We weep and mourn those who are no longer with us because we miss them so much But if they know God, they are in a MUCH better place. A place of peace, which is where I hope to be when my time comes.
