And the Methodists aren't the only Denominations falling to the LGBT agenda:

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America allows same-sex couples to get married, but leaves it up to individual ministers of congregations to decide, according to a 2009 resolution. “There is nothing that prescribes who a congregation pastor can marry or not marry, so long as it is consistent with state law,” ELCA Secretary David Swartling said in 2012.

The Episcopal Church established a rite of blessing for same-sex couples in 2012 and prohibited discrimination against transgender people. It has welcomed gay people since 1976, when its General Convention decided that “homosexual persons are children of God who have a full and equal claim with all other persons upon the love, acceptance, and pastoral concern and care of the Church.” Technically it has no official policy sanctioning same-sex marriage, but it will take up the issue in June.

The United Church of Christ has allowed same-sex couples to get married since 2005. At the 25th General Synod of the United Church of Christ in Atlanta, it “affirm[ed] equal marriage rights for couples regardless of gender and declares that the government should not interfere with couples regardless of gender who choose to marry and share fully and equally in the rights, responsibilities and commitment of legally recognized marriage.” It was the first major Protestant denomination to do so.

The ELCA, is not Lutheran nor are they a christian church. They are a political platform for the left; a weekly reinforcement of their idiologies.

I watched my mother devolve from a God-fearing Methodist woman who made us go to church every Sunday into a supporter of gay marriage in her old age. Now I wonder if she ever really was that God-fearing or if she just tumbled along wherever the winds of popular culture blew her.

I know a lot of old people who were faithful to the end, so I don't think old age is really the cause. I think maybe old age might bring out the truth about a person.

This in my view, means that we shouldn‘t be so harsh to judge people as long at they are close to Jesus.

Well, the thing is, homosexuals aren't leaving anything, they're moving in and taking over. Conservatives are the ones fleeing these liberal coups. So if there's any similarity to the reformation it's that once again, those who love truth are coming out of a wicked and corrupt system.

So yeah, everyone has their own truths and as long as they love God and Jesus they’re good and they’re trying, all in their own different ways.

The church is not supposed to be tolerant of people living in open defiance of God's word... it's one thing to be a flawed human that makes mistakes, but to openly say "I know God says that "X" is wrong, but I don't care.... I'm going to "X" anyway because I don't think it's wrong" ... ?? are you saying the church should be tolerant of them and accept them into fellowship? The apostle Paul disagrees with that.... as does God's word. Even Jesus forgave, but said "go, and stop sinning"....

Okay so think for a moment on what you said and apply it to yourself in regards to the Catholic Church so you can understand these churches better.
You for example say a lot of things about the Catholic Church according to your Bible interpretation And you support your position with Bible verses.

Also, just like you take a verse from the Bible to support your position, the other side (the gay churches) would take the position that Jesus helped and showed compassion towards a prostitute, a thief / murderer and hung out with the most despicable in the society (back then) like a tax collector.

The Lord God said, “If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” (Leviticus 20:13) “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that, which is against nature. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.” (Romans 1:26-28) Truly, these people are not for God and need to repent. God never changes in any way, form, or fashion. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. You can't argue with God. He said it, I believe, and that settles it!
