Mhz, you are still In my prayers because almost every post I have read from you...just ain't right.

1. I believe spiritual gifts still happen today.
2. Its the season of Lent, 40 days where traditional Christians give up something in memory of the 40 years the Isrealites wandered the desert and the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness.

Are you doing a 40 day fast?

3.I and many other Christians don't buy into the lie of the Rapture.

Not sure what else you are spouting but....eh leave that to someone else to address.

I would ask them how did it come about and if they are seeking to be free and what they know of the promise of freedom God gives us in the Bible through the shed blood of Jesus.

Then I would listen and pray with them. What would you do?
I would explain to them that the "Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus" has set them from the "Law of sin and death [Satan's bondage] (Romans 8:1-2). Which means that God's prescribed order of victory over sin, the world, the flesh, and the Devil is for the Believer to place and maintain their Faith exclusively in Christ and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won, i.e., The Finished Work at Calvary Cross, i.e., The Blood of Jesus (Rom. 6:1-14; 8:1-2; 11, 1 Cor. 1:17-18, 21, 23; 2:2; Gal. Chpt. 5; 6:1-14; Eph. 2:13-18; Col. 2: 14-15).

This then allows the Holy Spirit to bring victory over sin, the world, the flesh, and the Devil. The work of the Holy Spirit only works in the parameters of Jesus Christ and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won, i.e., The Finished Work at Calvary Cross, the Blood of Jesus. Failure to live this way, we enter into the "Law of sin and death" (Satan's control through bondage and sin).

Speaking is often over rated...helping people learn to,listen to what the Holy spirit has already revealed them can be so much more edifying...

How can people learn to listen to God if others never listen to them or be quiet enough to pray and actually listen for God's answers?
Exactly.

Many years ago, my oldest son was killed while riding his bike home from the store, by a distracted driver. To make a long story short, anger took over my entire life. God sent me a wonderful friend who spent many hours just listening to me and praying with me. That friend led me out of my anger, and back to peace in my walk with Christ.

The greatest thing that a friend in Christ can do for a friend in need of Christ's comfort is listen to the friend, and pray with that friend.

That's cool, you will find I am as honest as I am upfront.

Perhaps that is because I am a literalist/futerist that supports we are still in the time of the brass so none of the iron/clay kingdom has even started. (rather than I cannot comprehend anything more difficult than a business card)

1. true but you have to ask for them in a sincere prayer. You will have the best results with prayers for understanding about the Bible. Safety from harm during the trumps, like indicated by these verses.

De:4:30:
When thou art in tribulation,
and all these things are come upon thee,
even in the latter days,
if thou turn to the LORD thy God,
and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
De:4:31:
(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;)
he will not forsake thee,
neither destroy thee,
nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

2. The 12 Tribes gained a lot more than they lost. Should they not be giving something good to the rest of the world to show how blessed they are? The fasting allowed Jesus to control demons that were too powerful for a pair of Apostles.

People die on day 39 of hunger strikes so I'll wait for my change to come like all Christians do. With any luck it will be a painless transition.

1Co:15:51:
Behold,
I shew you a mystery;
We shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed,
1Co:15:52:
In a moment,
in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.

Amen. Grace and Kindness! But what is God's prescribe order of victory for spiritual failure?

Spiritual (and physical) health and life comes from God’s Word. “Man shall not live on bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth God.”

That is just nonsense. Peter was restored to Christ within days of His resurrection and went on to use the "keys of the Kingdom" (the Gospel message) for both Jews and Gentiles. Read the book of Acts.

[/SIZE]

Then Jesus told them, "This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: "'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.' Matthew 26:31 NIV

Peter was later restored by Jesus.

I can relate to that as the grandson I has raised for his 28 years died a year ago due to pneumonia caused by mold that was in a house we rented. I was mad until i realized that of the 3 of us that were very close that the 2 of us left could manage the loss of him better than if he had to experience the death of either one of us.
That transition took about a week.

Anything without Jesus dies. Everything with Jesus prospers (Psalm 1:3; John 15:5).

That was to fulfill a prophecy, this prophecy. The 'little ones' are Gentiles and Acts:10 is when they were first included. Their judgment is when the 7th trump sounds as that pours out the 7 vials on all sinners. The 1/3 that survive are repented Gentiles who are the ones that put on immortality without having to go to the grave.

Zec:13:7-9:
Awake,
O sword,
against my shepherd,
and against the man that is my fellow,
saith the LORD of hosts:
smite the shepherd,
and the sheep shall be scattered:
and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
And I will bring the third part through the fire,
and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried:
they shall call on my name,
and I will hear them:
I will say,
It is my people:
and they shall say,
The LORD is my God.

Peter was sifted by Satan as all of us have been to bring us to the end of ourselves (self-righteousness). Only when we are weak does the Grace of God power work in us and through us by our Faith in God Beloved Son Jesus in whom He is please.

God will use or allow whatever method He wants for us to draw near to Him. That includes the killing of the 17 people at the school in Florida. Please understand, whenever things nationally, personally, or local are shaken, please don't refuse Him who is speaking (Hebrews 12:25).

God doesn't cause evil to happen...he can use anything for His glory but that does not mean he tempts people to evil or causes evil to happen.

Explain to them because they have entered into progressive sanctification God is parting waters and making a way for them. Moving Mountains what they don't see. Answered prayers before they can speak. This things will be done percept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little (Isa. 28:13 - please read this scripture). The scripture says, He will not do it all at once because the beast in the field will increase in you. In other words your pride (the sin-nature will activate).

God will allow or send adversity!

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things (Isa. 45:7).

Evil and good were created by God when Law was introduced. Obedience to the Law is good and breaking it is bad and God will not temp anybody to break the Law. For us that means the grave and then resurrection back to God, when we are in the New Earth it would mean the fiery lake, period.

And the shakier things get, the louder He is speaking (Heb. 12:25)! The wisdom of this world is foolish to God (1 Cor. 1:17-19)

James 1.

12Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. 13Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

Fully grown sin is when people sin and then refuse to repent of their sin but either blame someone else or deny it is a sin at all.
