I look forward to the day when God will give me my new, glorified body. A body without sin. As Jesus was the first, He will not forget us. This He has promised us, just as He promised Abraham promises that wouldn't be fulfilled in His lifetime, in his death, His promise came to pass. Surely the meek will inherit the earth.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Isn’t that what “Christianity” is, even Paul said if we are wrong then we are men to be most pitted; basically, because we did not indulge in every whim and sinful desire. I personally cannot wait for that day to move home but I ask my dad to move my parents and son first; only because I don’t want them to be without someone to take care of them (my parents are 80ish and my son is autistic). It would be perfect in my eyes if something happened if we all move at the same time. Nevertheless, Dad knows the time we get to move home so it will be all good. until then, I love my Daddy and He loves me/us so it will be all good!!!!

I agree with the hope of eternal life, but [for me anyway] as for looking forward I would agree with the Word of God saying:

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14)

And as for looking for what is in it for me, I abstain, because again I agree with the Word of God saying:

"Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? (Amos 5:18-20)

But again I certainly agree that we ought to have the hope of salvation.

I look forward to my glorified body because it won't be wracked with pain. But yes, sin will be gone too! I look forward to that day!

The Lord wipes away our sin when we repent. No waiting.

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Revelation 21:

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

Revelation 22:

1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

And until then ...

2 Corinthians 4:

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

That is not what I am talking about. The future glory, in an age where sin and death are no longer.
But you can have glory now. Everybody complains when I say this, but we can repent now. And what is death to be feared, because life is eternal.
