The scriptures repeatedly talks about sexual immorality, fornication falls under that

The english translations point out fornication to be sex befor marriage and the oxford dictionary. But the greek and hebrew translation point out fornication to be incest. (which one is right) ?

You really are creative, but really what do you actually have against legal marriage. If you love someone then why wouldn't you want to make it right in the eye's of the Lord and men.

Although not as much today, women do get looked down upon for shacking up. Do you care about what people think about the person that you love or how that makes them feel?

I do not know what do you mean by a marriage certificate.

They had to be officialy joined together by an authority.

Like today state/church and parents are the authority.

The document written somewhere is only a way of how to register it. Not very applicable in, for example, jungle

Again why wouldnt a legal partnership where by two people who are in love follow all the rules of marriage be pleasing to God

Now if it was just sex befor marriage and not lovemaking then i think you could call it a sin. love making God finds holy and sacred.

What always stumped me though is HOW DOES GOD BRING YOU BACK with no conviction, no repentance, no confession..... somehow He can just change your mind without effort.

Yeah well you can think you're in love with someone for a while, but then as the Righteous Brothers put it you can lose that loving feeling

Without being legally married it's really easy just to move on and say your in love with someone else and make love to them. There are no legal consequences for someone who is not legally married.

In our culture, the agreement of parents is not needed for a marriage, I think. But I would not go into a marriage with a girl that has a terrible family...

I think God does convict everyone of sin in their heart, and that's how we know if we mess up. How else does he teach us that something is wrong?

I think that's Jimbo's problem he is feeling convicted. He even admitted that he has felt conviction over this, but yet, he is still trying to justify it too.

I have allready pointed out that i do feel convicted that it could be a sin im not heartless like you who automatically assumes that people have no conviction.

But the fact remains the only clear scripture on this matter God blesses love befor marriage with marriage ( he also wed people spiritually when there was no paper.)
