These are my thoughts, please share yours.

14 Jesus’ ministry really kicked into high gear after John was arrested because the crowds started to follow Him at this point rather then John. This is the same message John had started preaching.

15 Jesus was and is to bring about the kingdom of God. We need to repent and turn to Him, for us who have Him still we need to turn to Him on a daily basis letting Him lead us.

John was supposed to prepare the path for Christ. So it makes sense that he had to be put aside so that Jesus could step into his work and get the prepared crowd for His mission.

There are seen days in a week, and we are approaching the seventh day quite rapidly.
