Mark 9:14-15
And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them. And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

I tried to imagine a visual of Mark chapter 9 when the great multitude saw Jesus. It is written that a great multitude of people, as soon as they saw him, greatly amazed at his presence, ran over to greet him, so happy that he finally arrived. There had to have been 4,000 to 5,000 people so excited to see Jesus. I also imagined the hearts of the people. Their hearts must have been overflowing with happiness and joy of themselves or loved ones whom Jesus healed of various sicknesses and diseases. Countless number of people who were sick, demon possessed, blind, lame... etc, who had no hope in life, just getting by miserably everyday until the day they met Jesus.

John 20:30-31
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The same Jesus that we believe in today, is the same Jesus that is in the Bible. God gave us the Bible so that we believe in His Word and that we may have life through his name, the gift of eternal life. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the Son of God, who never committed any sins, died for ours and forgave us of all of our sins eternally so that we can stand boldly before him, 100% free of sin.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The penalty for sin is death. Jesus paid the price for all of our sins in full by his blood and has redeemed us eternally. This is exactly what God is telling us through the Bible. This is the amazing love of God and the amazing heart of God that He has towards each every single one of us who chooses to believe in Him.
