"Rome called her Venus. The Greeks called her Diana. Minerva. Juno. The Phoenicians called her Ashtaroth. The Syrians called her Astarte. The Egyptians called her Isis...Christian's call her Mary." Israel called her Queen of Heaven. Islam called her Allah (the moon God).

Ohh!...all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana...!!! (Acts 19.34)

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

For reference (NASB):

Jeremiah 7:18 "The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods in order to spite Me."

Jeremiah 44:17-19 "But rather we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, [SUP][a][/SUP]by burning [SUP][b][/SUP]sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings and our princes did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of [SUP][c][/SUP]food and were well off and saw no [SUP][d][/SUP]misfortune. [SUP]18 [/SUP]But since we stopped burning [SUP][e][/SUP]sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have [SUP][f][/SUP]met our end by the sword and by famine.” [SUP]19 [/SUP]“And,” said the women, “when we were burning [SUP][g][/SUP]sacrifices to the queen of heaven and [SUP][h][/SUP]were pouring out drink offerings to her, was it without our husbands that we made for her sacrificial cakes [SUP][i][/SUP]in her image and poured out drink offerings to her?”"

Jeremiah 44:25 "thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, as follows: ‘As for you and your wives, you have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled it with your hands, saying, “We will certainly perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn [SUP][m][/SUP]sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her.” [SUP][n][/SUP]Go ahead and confirm your vows, and certainly perform your vows!’"

Roman Catholics call Mary the queen of heaven :p The second Eve. The mother of humanity even. Oh, and did you know they believe that the Son of God could not have been born without the stain of sin unless Mary was likewise sinless? Despite Jesus being sired by the Holy Spirit of God? For that reason they have her immaculately conceived, which is a mandated belief in the Romanist fashion, forced upon the Catholic, same as is her bodily assumption to heaven; since she did not sin she did not die, you see, as she was not born in Adam according to them, because they base their beliefs on fanciful things that completely fly in the face of other Scriptural truths... and that is why they pray to her and believe she is a mediator, interceding on your behalf, although Scripture proclaims there is only mediator between God and man, and it is Jesus Christ.

Pre-Islamic Arabia's religion was one of superstition. Belief in jinns (genies), curse casting, magic stones, totems was the norm - and it was against this background that Allah arose. Although the Quran is claimed to be a heavenly writing with no earthly source, evidence of these very sorts of cultural influence is found in such places as Suras 55, 72, 113 and 114.
Animism, the belief that spirits inhabit rocks, trees and other elements was also very commonplace. Some of these stones were venerated and used as a focal point for the worship of a particular tribal god. No surprise, Muhammad's family had just such a stone for their own tribe - a black stone, in fact, that they kept at the Kabah (where the tribal idols were set up). The pagan rites of bowing toward Mecca, making a pilgrimage to the Kabah, running around it seven times, kissing it, then running to the river to throw stones at the devil all found there way into Islamic practice.
The final piece of the puzzle was in found in the religion of the Sabeans, an astral religion that worshipped the moon god and planned their religious rites around the lunar calendar. One such rite was fasting from crescent moon to crescent moon, a practice which would also be adopted by Muhammad.
If these things were not present before Muhammad received them from Allah (who himself is the moon god of Muhammad's tribe), why did Muhammad not have to explain what those words meant in the Quran? How would people have known who Allah was? ( or: what a jinn was? what the Kabah was? what the word Islam meant? etc.). Even the word "Islam" which many believe to mean "submission" was not an original word. In Arabic it was a secular term that denoted the strength and bravery of a desert warrior (a definition that accurately reflects the war-like tribes that founded Islam with bloodshed).
The Moon God
"Allah" is from the compound Arabic word "al-ilah" or in english "the god". Allah was known before Muhammad's time without a doubt. His name has been found in pre-islamic writings and other archeological finds. At the Kabah in Mecca over 350 gods were worshipped, but it was built especially for the chief deity - the moon god. Allah was the personal title of the moon god. Allah was married to the sun goddess. They produced three daughters, whose worship Muhammad would later make the mistake of condoning. The crescent moon symbol of Arabia came from this god. Muhammad's family revered this particular god, and it is this idol that Muhammad declared to be the only true god. So, Allah - far from being the revealed God of the Bible as Muhammad would have us believe - is nothing more than an amplified pagan idol. Muhammad did not re-make the pagan god, he simply removed the lower deities from the rites of worship. That is why he never had to explain who Allah was. By definition, an idol converted in the 7th century into a new god cannot be the sama God revealed thousands of years earlier to Biblical prophets!

the moon god. I.e The moon goddess.

i really don't think people get to just change gender like that as if it's up to your whim, or somehow a fact you can reason or engineer your way out of if you'd prefer an '
alternative fact . . .'

Are these mainstream Catholic beliefs? (If there is such a thing.) I'm not disputing. I'm just ... shocked.

They have such a convoluted belief system even they cannot agree on what to consider mainstream. Their statuary speaks volumes about their beliefs that they will not verbalize.

I have seen statues of Mary standing on a globe of the earth in many catholic churches in the US.

Both the immaculate conception (which unfortunately many people erroneously think has to do with how Jesus was conceived) and the bodily assumption of Mary to heaven, are mandatory beliefs for the Roman Catholic, as they are dogmas declared ex cathedra (from the seat of Peter) and therefore believed to be infallible... just more of their unbiblical manmade traditions which they elevate above the revealed written Word of God. There are only two ex cathedra dogmas and both concern Mary. In connection with papal infallibility, the Latin phrase ex cathedra (literally, "from the chair") has been defined as meaning "when, in the exercise of his office as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, (the Bishop of Rome) defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church."

What heaven is it that Mary is Queen of?

Where in my KJV can I find Jesus saying Mary is Queen of heaven?

He did say she was special, but I do not remember Him having a Corination Ceremony and proclaiming her Queen.....

Goodness..............
