What religion believes this?
I have recently been reading a few articles and a reference was made that Michael the arch angel is actually Jesus. This concerned me because I can't find that anywhere in scripture

I think it is an assumption based on verses like this:

Daniel 12

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 4But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Lad said something interesting above.

There are some verses in Daniel that tell us a little of who Michael is.
Daniel 10:13 KJV
(13) But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
Daniel 10:21 KJV
(21) But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
Daniel 12:1 KJV
(1) And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Seventh-Day Adventist. SDA do not teach that Jesus is Michael a created being. SDA teach that Jesus is God equal with the Father, eternal.

SDA represents Seventh Day Adventists. Also Jehovah's Witnesses believe this. Not all SDAs believe this for sure, and the ones that do believe that if Michael was Jesus before the incarnation, then Michael was not created. I'm not sure what the Jehovah's Witnesses believe about that aspect.

That is OK. The official teaching is that Jesus is God eternal, equal with the Father. There are some offshoots with strange teachings though.

Yeah, NO. This is not taught in the SDA denomination.
There is no biblical backing for this false teaching, thats why its false.

Since the beginning of Jesus' life, attempts at destroying his identity have been happening.
This is not new.
Its pretty clear who Jesus is throughout the whole bible.
The gospel of John is a nice concise reading.
Moreover, ask Him. Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you. He will.

I believe sometimes mortals have a hard time understanding the Spirit and body.

Though what you said above is something i shall consider, that and something i read through last night also in Hebrews... it may just of been a prompt..

A part from Michael being called these things Michael means one who is like God.

From H4310 and (the prefixed derivation from) H3588 and H410; who (is) like God?; Mikael, the name of an archangel and of nine Israelites: - Michael.

Jesus was born of a virgin (Mary) conceived of the Holy Spirit. He was begotten, not made. The Archangel Micheal was made, not begotten.

Its Jehovah Witnesses , who say Jesus is an archangel Michael. They dont believe in Trinity. Its a heresy and not biblical. Do not believe in all such stuff, but do keep biblical references ready, when someone throws such heresies.

I Pray God holds us all like his sheep, together, and not let us fall into anything like that. Amen

God Bless All
