I found this old post I wrote back in September 2015. I left this site after that. Had enough of round-and-round-we-go on here.

Little did I know what was coming next. One year ago today, my husband had a heart attack so bad every doctor for a full month was gently telling me to brace myself. He doesn't remember the ER doctor telling him he was dying. He was semi-conscious on the way from the hospital I took him to to go one block to the hospital that could put stents in immediately. He heard someone say, "This one isn't going to make it," as he was being wheeled along a hallway somewhere. In that month between the operation to put in two stents and the operation that gave him his new heart valve for the one he completely blew out during the heart attack, he was put on an EKMO, got pneumonia, recovered, his kidneys failed, and recovered, he had another infection so bad that they told me "40" was a deadly white cell count, but his was 46, he recovered, and recovered from several other infection.

And then it took him five months to eat food again, and they were sure he'd never be able to pee again, but did so within 18 hours.

He's now a few feet in front of me wanting to know the weather before we go out shopping.

So, yeah. I believe in healing. I believe God does miracles. I'm living with one, but I still do not believe in the WoF god.

(Just wanted to add this because everyone is so big on their round-and-round-we-go that sometimes they forget they're talking to real people experiencing real life.)

Aw Lyn that just made me want to cry with happiness for you both.

There is a God,
He does care
He does answer prayer
He never promised to take away our troubles but He did promise to never leave us
nor forsake us.
He promised never to give us more than we can bare.
His promises are yea and Amen.

Tribulation changes us, it hones is like a priceless diamond, it burns off the dross.
It changes hearts of stone into hearts of flesh.

That is why I don't agree with the wof movement either.

If we always got what we always wanted, we wouldn't grow, we would be spoilt brats!

God bless, you are an inspiration. :)

i read your original post sense it just came up. I totally can see where you come from. I often times ask myself why My body is such a mess at such a young age. I often feel like maybe I am paying for something i have done in my life. I know that if God wanted to heal me he would. I also know that if he does not heal me it is not because I am a bad person it is because God has decided my body needs to have a break and be taken care of. I used to do home care in my young years and I did my share of lifting patients and taking care of them. Maybe God say that I cared for them so much and said you have done your share of helping and caring for people now it is your time to take a break with your body. I do not know the reasons God has for my pain and My body breaking down so soon. I wish it was not so as I would love to get back to taking care of people as you already know. Everyday I slowly learn that even though my body is broken it is not because God does not love me. Maybe my pain and suffering is a test to my faith in God I do not know that either all I know is it is his plan at this time in my life for me to be disabled and to be resting up my body and focusing on taking things one day at a time. Although I still try to think about what will happen next month or next year etc... I can never not think of the future and what I will do if I can not afford to pay bills.etc.. But i am slowly trying to stop that and worry about the day I am in and not then future. I am so glad your husband is getting better and he is still here with you. I know you had a massive struggle with him in the hospital and it was a roller coaster ride for you I am just glad you guys made it through and are shining on the other side of it now.

When God Weeps <----- This book tells you why. If you need an excuse to buy it, have it on your Christmas list. It's a must for anyone who is disabled. It answers the big question, "Why me, God?"

Three years after I became disabled, John became disabled. We lost our savings, our good credit (went bankrupt), and our retirement fund before we found out he wasn't merely depressed. He was truly sick. Hepatitis C 2B (2B is good since, at that time, it was the only HepC that was curable.) He had to be on chemo for 24 weeks and by then we were down to living on $839 a month (my disability check at the time) with a $550 mortgage and our utilities averaged $350.

It got so bad that Dad sent us a check one time, but it came on a Thursday night and wouldn't become cash until Monday, but we had absolutely nothing to eat that weekend. BUT a niece heard her aunts complaining about a letter I wrote to one (begging for money), and my niece -- a single mom with a young daughter -- was led to send us $20. It came that Friday, just as we were going out to deposit Dad's check. Enough money for two people to eat for one weekend.

So, yeah. Been there. And I am now confident that no matter how much kicking, screaming, worrying, crying, and falling apart I will do anyway, God always, always takes care of us in ways we can never plan on and never expect.

I get you won't stop worrying. Neither will I. But God really does take care of us no matter what.

Oh yeah. John was cured, (and became disabled because of the chemo, but he'd be dead without it), and became one of the first people they called "cure." (Before that they just kept telling people who had 2B that they were in remission.) We still have the house, (it was foreclosed, so I was making plans on how to keep him on chemo while living in our car), and paid off the second mortgage last June that the federal government gave us back when we were that broke. A year early! T'ain't nothing we've ever planned for has worked out as planned, but praise God it always works out for our good and his glory!

I'm just going to lay it out there. First suffering and sickness is not God's will for anyone and it does not bring glory to God. Yes, God can teach us some wonderful lessons as we go through sickness and suffering but he didn't cause it to teach that lesson.
no doubt you have scripture which says this. or are you talking off the top of your head? How do you know what God's will is? I know of many people whose sickness has brought glory to God. How do you know that He didn't 'cause' it to teach that lesson? Give us sound scripture, not just your interpretation of it. If you can't shut up

Sickness and disease is in the world because of sin, not necessarily because of the sin of the individual though.
That is true and God allows His saints to suffer.

Paul's thorn was a messenger sent from Satan to stir up trouble for him, not sickness.
No doubt you can PROVE this from Scripture? or is it just your opinion again?

The lack of faith may not be the only reason someone doesn't receive their healing but faith and healing have a strong correlation. Anyone reading the scriptures can see that.
It is the faith of the healer, not of the recipient. Many who Jesus healed did not have special faith.

God isn't going to heal anyone against their will just like he won't save anyone against their will. The scriptures clearly tell us that it's God's will that none perish, but some will refuse salvation. People can refuse healing also because of their unbelief or their doctrine.
But many who have truly believed have been refused healing. How do you account for that?

the Spirit is healed first, for the body manifests what has
been done to the Spirit...

sometimes Jesus' ways help us to see to the heart of every matter...

None of us can stand without the Blood of The Lamb...

The thing is will God heal everyone of their physical ailments, which I tend to believe He does not.

Paul was given a thorn in the flesh to keep him humble, for the vast amount of revelations God showed him,so Paul said,I will glory in my infirmities, for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Paul asked God to take it away 3 times, which God replied,My grace is sufficient for you.

There may be a reason that some people have physical ailments that confess Christ.

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

But although some people may have a physical ailment,God gives a sound mind, which God wants our mind to be sound, which Paul said with the mind he serves Christ.

A physical ailment cannot hinder a person from serving Christ, but a disturbed mind possibly could,so God makes sure our mind is sound, and stable.

we all know what John's outcome could have been, and we all see that Christ has intervened
for His own reasons, for so many die that have had the very same problems as John has had
to experience and suffer through...

it makes most of us feel that John and Lynn are special in some way that Jesus has decided,
this cannot be mistaken...and we know that they would never take His healings for granted...

there is just no way that any of us can count or number the many ways that the both of them
have shown their Love and Trust in Christ through all of their trials and turmoil, but, we who
know Jesus have recognized and know that He has touched so many hearts through their
pain and suffering...I pray that we take this gift of knowledge and share with others how
our Saviour can work His miraculous ways, when He so desires...

Recently, I was researching something about ICU's for someone worried because a loved one was in the ICU for a long time. (Days. lol) And I found a doctor's paper on long-term effects of ICU. Doctors goals is to get someone out of the ICU within a few days. Anything past a couple of weeks is bad news. People who stay longer than 35 days will likely be dead, even if they get out of there, within half a year. (I was smart enough not to share that info for the person worrying.) John was in ICU from November 21 to January 24th.

I am so glad I didn't learn about ICU's until well after John celebrated his 6 month anniversary of still being alive. I would have freaked! lol

God does that for me often -- waits until after the crisis is over before telling me why it was worse than I thought. :)

And John hasn't stopped witnessing to anyone willing to listen for more than 15 seconds on the goodness of God. (When we went to his first doctors' appointments after he came home, each doctor was floored to see him. If they already knew him, they knew he wasn't going to live long enough for the heart surgeries. If they didn't know him, they had to wade through thousands of entries in his online file. They kept telling him he wasn't supposed to be alive. He kept telling them "God." When they told him I have to quit smoking -- and boy, I've tried often, still can't -- for fear he'd start again, he told them God took away all desire for smoking.) Now we witness across the web.

He's 69, so we know he won't live much longer, but he is alive and miraculously. What else could we want? The only thing we should all want -- eternity with God, but that already started.

Since BDF is being inundated with WoF fake-gospel posts, thought I'd resurface this for the benefit of new folks, who don't yet know the difference between healing-is-the-gospel and Jesus-is-the-gospel. And, to be clear, since some of us left and returned, I am AtWhatCost. And JoanieMarie is LadyLynn.

(Zombiee post returns again. lol)
