neither calvin or luther or spurgeon or henry or augustine or popes or preachers today know that Psalm 119 is Messiah Yahshua's prayer for life

AYIN
121 I have done what is just and righteous.
Don’t leave Me to My oppressors.

He again says He does what is just and righteous which are the foundations of His throne and authority. He was net left to His oppressors because the Father raised Him from the dead in answer to His prayers because of His obedience in giving His life for us.

123 My eyes fail looking for Your salvation,
for Your righteous Word.

His eyes were closed in death while He trusted His Father to raise Him to life again according to the word and promise in the law to Him.

125 I am Your Servant. Give Me understanding,
that I may know Your testimonies.

He is His Father's Servant Who accomplished His Father's will in giving His life to save us. He fulfilled the testimonies and prophecies all throughout Scripture that pointed to Him and His sacrifice. He prayed Psalm 119 which was fulfilled through His obedience.

129 Your testimonies are wonderful,
therefore My soul keeps them.

He again proclaims His obedience to His Father's testimonies. Indeed, He fulfilled His Father's testimonies and Scripture which points to Him throughout. He became the embodiment of His Father's testimonies by what He did to save us.

133 Establish My footsteps in Your word.
Don’t let any iniquity have power over Me.
134 Redeem Me from the oppression of man,
so I will observe Your precepts.

He trusted His Father to direct His life, even when it required Him to give His life on the cross. He bore our sins and iniquities on the cross and was mode to be sin to save us, yet those iniquities did not have power over Him when His Father raised Him from the dead because of His obedience. He was redeemed from the oppression of man which put Him to death. He continues to observe His Father's precepts even now.

135 Make Your face shine on Your Servant.
Teach Me Your statutes.
136 Streams of tears run down My eyes,
because they don’t observe Your Torah.

He was raised by the Glory of the Father it says in the NT. He learned through what He suffered and also when He was raised to life again because of His obedience. He proved His Father's statutes and the promise of life to Him in the law. He accomplished His Father's statutes and was given life according to the promise and as He asked for. He observed and fulfilled the Torah.

137 You are righteous, YHVH.
Your judgments are upright.
138 You have commanded Your statutes in righteousness.
They are fully trustworthy.

He proved His Father's righteousness through what He did to save us in obedience to the law. He trusted in the promise of life in the law to Him and His Father's righteousness and justice which would raise Him from the dead. Righteousness and justice are the foundation's of His throne. they are also a picture of the cross which proves His righteousness and justice and establishes His authority.

Isaiah 28:16-17 portrays the cross with the stake being His righteousness and the cross-member His Justice.

16 Therefore the Adonay YHVH says, “Behold, I lay in Zion for a Foundation a Stone, a tried Stone, a precious Cornerstone of a sure Foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily. 17 I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plumb line. The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place.

139 My zeal wears Me out,
because My enemies ignore Your words.
140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested,
and Your Servant loves them.
141 I am small and despised.
I don’t forget Your precepts.

Can you hear the Son praying this? His zeal to do His Father's will consumed Him. He trusted His Father's promise of life to Him. He considered Himself small and despised but remembered and sought to accomplish His Father's precepts. Is that not totally amazing or what? See what knowing Psalm 119 is the Son's prayer teaches us.

still, nearly no one gets it or grasps the importance of what this truth reveals.

can't be too hard on the early expositors since even today their contemporaries can't see it for some reason.

pick a poorly translated word or a phrase that supports your per-conceived ideas and ignore the 176 verses that prove beyond any doubt that Psalm 119 is the Son's prayer for life and to be raised from the dead because of His obedience to the law in giving His life to save us.

no one even discussed the promise of life in the law to the Man Who accomplished and fulfilled and fully obeyed the law by offering His life as a Sacrifice for sin to save us. that seemed like pretty groundbreaking revelation that explains a lot of Scripture but apparently not worth consideration or comment. se la vie.

still lots of preachers on yt who do not know Who the "Psalmist" is Who prayed Psalm 119. Since the do not recognize it as the Son's prayer for life, they misinterpret and misapply what the Psalm teaches us. but hey, nearly no one else gets it either. no one in the pews challenges the mistaken views.

139 My zeal wears Me out

Can you hear the Son praying this?
No.

Isaiah 40:28
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

Pretty well guaranteed that there are no "pew sitters" here, and they
WILL challenge every view that is brought up, eh?
yeah it usually doesn't take long for ideas to be criticized in the BDF lol

i like that. Truth stands up to scrutiny but error doesn't. it is very useful to be criticized; we learn how to answer objections.

the difficulty is when we pretend the objections do not exist instead of addressing them.

sagag means to be unaware or ignorant of something. it does not mean sin or went astray. Strongs is wrong in this case and the translation in v67 is wrong.

Dear Magenta, Thank you for this video it is excellent !

Blessings!
Didn't watch the whole thing. Did He ever present that Psalm 119 is the Son's prayer for life and to be raised from the dead?
