Here are some examples of prayer and fasting do you agree with them?
Esther 4:16

(16) Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
Isaiah 58:6-7
(6) Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
(7) Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

It is not out of place, you are speaking with a bias. Look at these texts tell me which one is correct, it is the same text from two versions only one can be correct cause they say different things.
Revelation 22:14

King James Version (KJV)

14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:14

New International Version (NIV)

14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

Answer this according to the truth in the Bible not according to what you think you know about greek

those examples of prayer and fasting do not suggest that they have any miraculous power...

the new international version is clearly correct in revelation 22:14...because the bible teaches that we are saved by faith...not by doing commandments...

So then according to that all I have to do is wash my clothes and I can eat from the tree of life? Tell me where else in the Bible is the tree of life found and what was the requirement for eating of it?

Answer this question:-Do I need to understand Hebrew and Greek to have a correct understanding of the Bible? Yes or No?
Going by this logic....if you don't need to read Hebrew or Greek for a correct understanding of the bible you also don't need to read the KJV, the NIV or the NLT will do the job.

Personally I think each person has a translation they get on best with, I myself cross reference the old KJV, the NIV and the Amplified but the NIV is the one I like most.

washing your robe is a picture of being made clean by the blood of jesus...

the tree of life was in the garden of eden but adam and eve could not eat from it after they became sinful...but 'washing our robes' in jesus' blood takes our sin away...

also the tree of life is in revelation 2:7...offered to those who overcome...

It does not say wash your robes in the blood of the lamb and as long as Adam & Eve were keeping the commandments they could eat it but, after they sinned they could not so then the KJV is correct not the NIV

A pastor once gave this name to the NIV

revelation 7:14 clarifies that the robes are washed with the blood of the lamb...

adam and eve could not eat from the tree of life after they became sinful...but the blood of jesus takes our sins away...so that we will be able to eat from the tree of life...

it has nothing to do with a legalistic work righteous requirement to do commandments...

fasting does not have magical powers...that is superstitious mysticism...

the bible does not say that fasting moves mountains...that is only said in a spurious line that was not in the originals but added later on...

As I said before Revelation 22:14 in the NIV does not say wash your robes in the blood of the lamb as in Rev 12:11 it says wash your robes. Here is some food for thought
Matthew 19:16-17
(16) And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
(17) And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

well obviously you have to use the context of the whole scripture to get the right interpretation...that is where revelation 7:14 comes in to explain revelation 22:14

We do have to use the whole of the Bible and Adam & Eve could only eat from the tree of life if they kept the commandments. It had nothing to do with salvation, we are saved by faith and keeping the commandments is not for salvation. We are saved for good works so the KJV is correct. I could give many examples here is a site

No but your faith does however this kind by prayer and fasting,

Matthew 17:20-21 (KJV)
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
