[Added by RoboOp] What is your stance?

  • Well the Bible is simply not clear on this subject, so we shouldn't have any doctrine on this matter

errr i lost my no women preachers thread....anyone seen it?
And why is this is such a big deal to you? Does your salvation depend upon proving or disproving whether women should or should not be preachers? You seem so passionate about it, that I wonder if you've been hurt or challenged by a woman preacher and are therefore angry at all of them. There seems to be anger behind your signature.

I pray that you find the true answer to your question. God bless you in your quest.

i would guess that her campaign has to do with the fact that paul taught that women are not allowed to speak in the assemblies .

The "no woman" thing partained to the 1st Century Israel. If you want to hold onto it in 21st century and not in Israel, then I have to ask you: "WHERE are all the men? Why ain't they 'stepping up'?"

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,Son of man,

There were two women, the daughters of one mother:And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.

And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; isreal is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.

And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbours,Which were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.

Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their idols she defiled herself. These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her.

2nd peter 1,21

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

These holy men where in subjection to the holy Ghost.

mark12,23
In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

may God givith the increase

lol. seriously, this is inappropriate.. why? because the previous thread about this has been closed already, and almos all the scriptures shown here have been posted on that previous thread already, so why do we need to start the whole thing again when we know how it ends? why dont u folks just read whats written there and ask God to guide you in drawing a conclusion?. why dont u? because you wanna hear what the others say about it? and what do u get after that? the right to be right because you believe or you think that what they believe is wrong and what you know is rght? lol somebody being wrong doesnt make you right. ..if thats what you think. lets try to think before we post.. much better lets try to pray before we post. being saved opens our eyes to the truth, now we know whats right and wrong. why oh why do we all look for whats wrong. .. and not what is right? when Jesus saved us, did he enumerate to us all the sins that we've committed? He saved us and open our eyes.. so that we can search our lives and do what is right.. He didn't ask us to search someone else's life, did He? anyways, what I'm trying to say, if you wanna know more about what the bible says-.. about women preachers. check the previous thread.

Heb 13:8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
If it was good enough for His early Church it should be the same for His latter church

I appreciate krma gurl's passion. She's young, and a fairly new believer I think, so cut her some slack and appreciate that she's into the Bible. I think it's really cool for a lady (especially a young lady) to defend what the Bible says about role of women in the church. I think this topic stands out to her, just as it does to me, mainly because it's so compromised/twisted nowadays.

We need to teach all the Bible, not just the less controversial parts. If anything, the controversial parts need to be taught more, not less. (I mean controversial parts that are actually clear, and have practical significance.)

And the same topics will arise over and over in this forum, and I think that's okay. People don't come to Christian chat just to search for static information or old posts. They come to chat :) and interact, via the chat rooms and this forum. And if anyone doesn't want to join a particular thread that has been started, well they don't have to even click on it if they're not interested in discussing it and interacting within it.

Anyway I think Joyce Meyer could learn an important Bible lesson from our sister Krma gurl. :)

Well it is called fellowship my friend. People here can freely speak from their minds. Doesn't matter how many times it was discussed.

Hello this may sound like a sexist command, but the bible was inspired by God, therefore if we claim that we don't agree with some portion of the bible are we not disagreeing with God our creator?
