Weren't you once unsaved? And didn't His sacrifice on your behalf help you? :)
ONCE I ACCEPTED IT !

THE QUESTION IS:

HOW does Jesus' Death do anything for a person WHO DIES UNSAVED.

The point is that Jesus' Death did nothing for the unsaved.
Because I had said that His Death was wasted on the unsaved.
How was it NOT wasted? What good did it do for the UNSAVED through till Death.

God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

We were ALL unsaved until we heard about Jesus, and how He died for our sins. His death benefits unbelievers because it gives them the chance to hear about Him, and make the decision (or not) to come to Him and get saved..

So OBVIOUSLY Jesus' death wasn't a waste of time after all. :)

you motive in keeping this thread open is now manifested and duly noted...Being a slave to your personal PRIDE is the worst.....

You, your pride, and others can have at it all you want.....

When the thread dwindles, you guys will not be able to refrain from glorying in your victory over others....it is what pride and hypocrisy does....it glories in the flesh, which you and your boy EG have in spades....both of you admit it all the time....just sinners saved by grace and fighting the 2 natures all day, every day...yep you both do and yep you both need help...
Look pal....Go look in the mirror and judge yourself...I see the posts you like and the dogma you push....your words mean jack at the end of the day!

I will be ignoring everyone who has posted in this thread for the last 1500 pages, so please don't respond to anything I say. I prefer to talk to myself, who never dares to argue with myself. And if by chance myself begins to argue with myself, I will also put myself on ignore.

I just spent the last hour reading through a page worth of reported posts from this one thread. Most of them reported by one individual, all of the reported posts were authored by one user. It is quite obvious that this reporter has an agenda against the other user since in just a couple of minutes I have found several other posts by other users that are if not just as bad are by far worse that this same person has not reported.

So, this is the deal, I can do nothing and allow this thread to continue on (I'll reopen it in a little bit) or I can close it and then spend a week or more of my evenings reading all 30,500 posts post by post and removing EVERY user who has been less than perfectly polite. Yeah, most persons who have interacted in this thread have been less than civil at some point so going that route will make the BDF really quiet for a while

Gee, if this site reflects the real church at all, there's only a small real number of us, & we're outnumbered at over 20 to 1, outnumbering us even more in resources.

There's nothing plenteous about our number.

What we do have plenty of is the very thing you keep claiming in vain to have: grace.

That's right..... and it's your group's fault.

Note the scripture:

Romans 5
20The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,21so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

When sin abounds around us, God's grace abounds even more. It always does.

So, when sin surrounds me to fight me, & sin works behind my back with words of flattery to deceive me, more grace is at my disposal.

God's grace is always sufficient for me regardless of the traps Satan sets for me.

And there's nothing you can do about it.:D

the above is a diagram I saw in church this weekend, it speaks of a persons line or movement from non believer to eternity.

The x's represent the work of a god in ones life to draw them to himself, this may take weeks, months or even years.

the T represents the cross, or the moment the work of God led one t true faith, it is he point in which the person is born again, justified, made a child of God, perfected by me sacrifice, it is the moment God begins a god wrk.

the long arrow after represent the time in a believers life where he is being sanctified, growinging in the grace and knowledge of Christ, starting out being disciples, hopefully ending up discipline others

After the arrow, is eternity, where the child of God has realized his salvation,

I think Oncefallen has said something we all need to look at. If someone is on your "side" and they are speaking roughly and not in love, and with pride puffed up instead of simply forgiving an offense against them and just gliding along in the Spirit in love regardless of how they are treated, you aren't doing them any favors (and are harming them) if you don't call them on it. Just because someone agrees with us is no reason to allow them to go on harming themselves.

Amen......God would have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth...many miss the fact that the Holy Spirit only convicts of sin because they have yet to believe and acknowledge Jesus by faith....the penalty of sin (condemnation) and sin in and if itself has been nailed to the cross....the problem is not sin.....the problem is saving faith......thank God he works to bring us to the truth by the schoolmaster which poi ts us to Christ....

No offence intended, but I would that you close the thread.

The truth is if it isn't, the trouble will only start up again.

While it's true that help & resources are stretched thin, this thread should have closed a couple of months ago.

Even bouncing in & out once a week this thread should have been caught.

If things don't change, this site will end up being only a shell of its former self. I for one don't want that to happen. I'm not for that.

Please close the thread.

Thank you in advance.

I simply referenced what Jesus said....Galatians backs it up..those who push works as their ticket into the kingdom and or embrace works as half of the equation of salvation are missing the mark according to the word......faith alone saves eternally...any work produced is the direct result of faith and salvation one already possesses eternally.......if we add one thig to Jesus and faith we preach a gospel of a different kind that has no power....hence the PLENTEOUS in number that will not make it...their foundation was false because instead of trusting Jesus completly they embellished with works........

Notice....

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe!

To one who adds works....it is FOOLISH that one can just believe and be saved by faith through grace
